Food and culture ideas! Notes under the cut
A majority of food comes from the ocean and shallow waters of their home world. Large-scale hunting is done on a smaller scale, ever since larger communities moved to shallower, warmer waters when civilizations began to rise. Any food items that require an ingredient from a deep sea animal is usually a delicacy.
Anything that isn't eaten fresh is preserved in a glazed ceramic vessel or sealed in a plastic-like packaging made from seaweed. Bowls and drinking cups are typically made from bone, shells, or carved stone.
Soups tend to be sent with away agents because that is one of the easier ways to make sure that daily nutritional goals are being met, while it is not often eaten on the planet itself. Large pieces of meat and fish, along with most other cultural staples, are difficult to store long-term and aren't sent with away teams.
I’m not completely done with Griffeuxes (there’s still so much to be talked about with them!), but I’m a bit of a multi-tasker: So! The next species I’m focusing on are the Wyverns!
But since they are apart of the draconic four-pack (Dragons, Drakes, Wyverns and Raptors) I’m going to tackle them a bit differently!
Soon.
Been a while since I posted an update in my fic here. here is a update on my fuc here,, i guess,..

Pretty Pretty Please I Don't Want to be a Magical Girl
While I’d want this concept to mostly be a lighthearted comedy, since that’s more my forte, the north star (heh) of this premise would be the loss of passion for something you once loved, feeling the pressure/expectations of sticking with something that you’re “a prodigy” at and the subsequent burnout. How hard do you fight for an old passion or at what point do you just let it go? Is it even okay to give up when so many people are counting on you?
Sounds bleak but I promise I’m an optimist and that will always reflect in my work :)
Also additional Wyverns but actual folks!
Elysi Uki'Hest, Current leader of the Ourinis Guild. A very specific Wyvern!
Grimmere (No last name), Current leader of the Nekis. Standard Cliffside Wyvern.
More Under, just names and other bits.
Grimmere’s easier to start with: He’s an extremely old man and has seen his fair share of life- he’s in his late 190’s and he’s very old. He’s rejected the idea of retiring young and has worked and worked and worked. He’s a giant also. Only known family is his younger sister and most folks are speculating he’s training up a new apprentice to take over. He’s just a normal elderly guy helping to run a nation.
Elysi Uki’Hest is from an isolated Solely Wyvern city on the sheer cliffs on the Northmost point of Feylands. They developed feathers to combat the sheer wind and water-spray. Even their wings are fuzzy! They’ve lived there for generations— and now they have feathers and a stockier snout. Some of the draconic folks develop feathers but with this city it’s pretty much all feathers and fluff. Elysi’s pretty unique in other cities due to this. She— like Grimm— manages Ourinis and frequently visits other locations to set up deals or the like.

Governance Worldbuilding Questions:
What forms of governance exist (do they differ by region)? For example, monarchy, democracy, tyranny, oligarchy, anarchy.
What is the biggest threat to stable government in your world?
Who is the most loved leadership figure (or the most hated and feared) and why?
Who governs key parts of your world (e.g., this may be the pilot of a spaceship in a sci-fi story)? Will the head honcho change?
Where are the major centers of power and administration in your world, and why are they located in these places?
Where are laws and policies enforced the most, and where is the long arm of the law weakest?
When were the laws that most affect your characters passed? Are there any troubling ones on the ballots?
When did this world’s current system of government or political system come into existence, and what were the historical and cultural factors that led to its formation?
Why do characters either support or resist the government? In what ways it is benevolent or abusive?
Why do individuals or groups hold power to govern? Is it a birth right system, an electoral one, or the result of a coup or other event?
