I do love that scene in the man trap where uhura chastises spock for not reacting emotionally to a dead crewman because it could be kirk and "he's the closest thing you have to a friend" all the while spock has spent the entire time since the death announcement looking like he's about to throw up.

I still can't get over how tos wanted to do a murder mystery where it was supposed seem like scotty killed a bunch of women but they had to somehow explain why the hell he would ever possibly do such a thing so they just have bones go "boy I sure am glad scotty recovered from that concussion that made him hate women (which is a totally normal reaction to getting injured because of a female coworker that any human person might have btw)" like ok guys fucking A+ writing no notes on that one.

Ok but consider: this could work both ways! Julian recognising Garak's stitching/technique on a recently fixed piece of clothing or fabric. I also don't know when this would take place or why and how Julian would get his hands on something garak patched up or what stitching would be as recognisable as surgery techniques but the idea won't let me go.

listening to the a stitch in time audiobook has me deep in the garashir trenches again and I'm thinking about my favorite mash episode where hawkeye goes to battalion aid and everyone is wondering if he's dead and they can't get through to find out and then bj recognizes his stitches on a patient so they know he's alive

anyway idk when or where it would take place but I am rotating the idea in my mind and may come back to it
