It's kinda sad that the topic that T1 tried to poke went over so many people's heads, because so many fans reduce Odin and Loki's conflict to "you lied to me"/"I'm sad I'm not actually your son/heir to the throne", when it's pretty obvious that it goes way deeper than that: Loki mentions how it finally "makes sense" why Odin "favored" Thor and that Loki could never be good enough no matter how much he tried, because Odin wouldn't allow the frost giant to sit on the throne.
He wasn't upset because he wouldn't get the throne, he admits he never wanted it in the first place, and it's not "oh no I'm adopted", it's more of "You took me as a political prisoner, taught me to hate my own kind, all these years I've been trying to figure out why you would always forgive Thor but you are so harsh and cold when it comes to me, and I've tried to be better because I thought I'm doing something wrong, but the reality is that no matter what I do it'll never be enough for you because I was born on the wrong planet with a wrong skin color that you and your people despise so much that you stripped me off it, and no matter how many times you claim to love me, you couldn't show me kindness unless you needed something from me, and it was never about what I do, just who I am".
No, really, this conflict is so much deeper than what fandom makes it seem to be, and the more I think about it the more messed up it gets.
I assure you, brother, the sun will shine on us again.
Every single time I read something with the lantern rings speaking, I always imagine the red and yellow rings sounding like the Mysterons from Captain Scarlet.
I have absolutely no idea why, that’s just the voice my mind gave to them.
And in case you don’t know what they sound like...
Maybe I'm just jaded from Pokemon disappointing me, but I genuinely don't think Legends Z-A is going to do anything fun with the starters.
In fact, I don't think they'll do any new megas at all. No new megas, no regional forms. I will genuinely even be surprised if they decide to give Chikorita the fairy type, like some people are speculating.
I also feel like reigonal forms won't happen partially because it doesn't make sense. X and Y didn't have regional forms, after all, and Z-A is taking place after X and Y. Not even that far into the future, by the looks of it.
I feel like it'll just be a blander Legends Arceus, personally. If even that.
I hope I'm wrong, but that's where my head is at right now.

Reblog and put in the tags something you REALLY wish you liked, but don't
Most people for some reason immediately assume that if I'm a 'fan of Loki' that automatically means I must be attracted to/am a fan of Tom Hiddleston.
And like... *Didn't know who Tom Hiddleston was until I looked up Loki's actor.* *Doesn't keep up with anything he's doing, including roles he's been in.* *Doesn't know jack shit about Hiddleston's career or anything about him.* *Likes not just MCU Loki, but also the ones from other cartoons, comics, video games, etc to the exact same extent.* *Legit forgets who Tom Hiddleston even is sometimes.* *Was one of the people who hated the fan-service scenes in the 'Loki show'.*
So Like... I guess you can say the only reason I like Loki or am attracted to them is because of Tom Hiddleston but... I mean, just because you say something doesn't mean it's true.
True story, btw, Someone brought him up and I was like: "...The guy who plays Spiderman?" They laughed at me when I said that and I was so confused, lmao.
Tumblr’s blocking a bunch of words, huh? Cool. Can’t wait for this to turn into Tumblr purge 2 electric boogaloo.
Lol I've just met a person who said that "yes, Loki was mind controlled, but he hurt Clint so he's responsible, but Clint is not responsible because he was mind controlled and that was traumatic for him."
It just gets better with every day of existing in this fandom.
Loki was somewhat familiar with other holidays like Christmas. But Halloween was one of those things that he needed (Y/N)’s help to understand. Though the idea of trick or treating intrigued him when (Y/N) mentioned it.
Sadly, (Y/N) had to explain to him that trick or treating was something children did, not adults. Loki obviously found that a bit ridiculous, but it was a custom here, so why bother trying to argue it?
...That is until Halloween actually rolled around.
(Y/N) was in the tower’s kitchen, everyone else was out. Bucky was with Sam, Thor was in Asgard, Peter and his friends were no doubt out at a Halloween party...or something and the rest were at some big ‘event’ on TV, but Loki?
Truth be told, (Y/N) had no idea where Loki was, which was strange since Loki usually told him if he had somewhere to be. So, (Y/N) was alone in the tower, with nobody but his thoughts for sole company.
Until (Y/N) found him in the living area.
“Wha-? What are you wearing?” (Y/N) laughed. It was the cheapest-looking costume he’d ever seen like it was taken straight from a dollar store shelf.
“My costume, of course.” Loki had a look on his face that (Y/N) was very familiar with. A mischievous smirk as he held up two pillowcases.
Before (Y/N), with a raised eyebrow, could remind him that only children trick or treated, suddenly Loki was engulfed in green light and was replaced with a child.
“Are you coming?” He asked, holding out the second pillowcase with a sly look. (Y/N) hesitated for a second, but it was hard to deny the urge to break such a silly rule. (Y/N) morphed and changed into a child-like version of himself, taking the pillowcase with an eager grin.
The next thing he knew, Loki and him attached themselves to some group of children and were soon stocked on candy. Loki, of course, wore a mask. To avoid being caught, knowing the other Avengers would show up eventually. It was actually a bit scary, seeing as Steve appeared and almost recognized the two. But, he was thankfully pulled away by some fans before he could put the pieces together.
By the end of the night, (Y/N) and Loki had enough candy to last until next April. ...Or at least it would be that much if they were the type not to eat quickly. It would probably only last until Christmas at best.
Hiding the candy in their room once they arrived back at the tower, the two of them spent the rest of the night pulling pranks on Thor and the others once they all returned.
Sure enough, this would end up being a secret tradition between the two of you. Each one had some close calls being caught. But each time it would end with impish laughing, sweet treats, and snuggling.
About character bingo, Loki and Bucky?
I'm going to assume this is MCU Loki and Bucky we're talking about, but feel free to send another ask if you have another version of them in mind.
"I'll write a small word vomit thing about them." *Proceeds to write four paragraphs.*
Bucky showed up in the MCU first, so he's first here, too. Bucky Buchanan Barnes, huh? I'll admit, in the first Captain America movie, I didn't really have much in way of opinion about him. I was in the 'they sure do exist' camp. Didn't give him much thought.
That did change, however, when he returned as the Winter Soldier. He was terrifying in Civil war, ngl. But I also thought he was kinda cool. After that, sitting on the movies for a while and rewatching them a few times, I grew a far stronger appreciation for the character. (Which was probably due to how young I was when I watched the movies initially, but let's ignore that-) Which makes the awful way the fandom and current writers treat and mischaracterize him even worse, tbh. But we're not talking about that right now-
Unrelated: Bucky gives me gender envy like mad. (I'm Boyflux, btw.)
I want to wrap him in a big fuzzy blanket and give him a hot cocoa, dude deserves some rest and tlc.
Comparing how I feel about Bucky to Loki is super unfair... to Bucky. Though honestly, it would be unfair to all Marvel characters, since Loki is my favorite. (*Insert people rolling their eyes because me liking a character that's 'popular' makes me annoying/cringe, apparently.*)
Fun fact: Loki is actually one of the first Marvel characters I was ever introduced to. Though, granted, it wasn't MCU Loki. I'm constantly rotating them in my mind like Banana.mp4 (Rotat e). I can also relate to them on a scarily close level. Like jeez, my older sibling was kicked out right before I learned about my bloody heritage from my father, too, da fuq?
Loki in the MCU is probably the most mis-characterized, and the most unabashedly hated and poorly handled character by the writers in the later phases. Which sucks, because his attempts to prove himself and feeling unworthy are exactly what made them so interesting. But it seems the writers like to mis-characterize him as being arrogant and self-centred, when they're actually the opposite in every movie before Ragnarok. *sigh*
He deserves a break, too, tbh. They both need some tlc stat.
...Y'know, they really missed an opportunity by never letting these two meet. But then again, the MCU has/had a problem with casual interactions. (I mean, Thor and Natasha barely interacted in any of the movies despite being on the same team.)
