GOTG Fluff Idea

GOTG fluff idea

I just- my brain came up with this and I needed to share it.

So, Peter Quill has been away from Earth for a long time. (Understatement of the century.)

So, obviously, a lot of stuff is very unfamiliar to him, as he's no doubt forgot a lot of stuff from his childhood and growing up.

So I just thought of something:  Peter Quill and the other guardians are staying on earth for a while, right? Restocking some supplies or something, and while they're there, all of the sudden, it just- BLIZZARDS. They're stuck inside until it calms down a bit. Then, Thor finds Peter at the window with a dumbfounded look on his face.

Thor: "Are you alright?" Peter Q: "What is that?" Thor: "What? The snow?" Peter Q: "Snow. ...Oh yeah, that's what snow is." Thor: "How do you not know what snow is?"

Next thing you know, Thor suggests they go out and get a closer look, and fairly quickly, the other Guardians just start hearing Thor and Peter whooping and laughing outside. They all get out the door to find them running around and playing like a pair of happy dogs. At some point, Peter even starts rolling around in the snow.

Next thing you know, all the guardians start having fun in the snow, and it ends up resulting in a big snowball fight. Which of course, gets very chaotic very quickly.

They end up going back inside and getting some hot chocolate and blankets, then decide to watch a movie together. (Bonus points if its something like Home alone.)

If any artist wants to draw this or something, feel free, just please tag/mention me, I really wanna see it :’>

“What if I was a robot and I didn’t know it?” (Old)

AU idea: (Android-Loki AU by myself, lol. Though I’m sure someone else must’ve thought of this, haha.)

Possible trigger warnings?: Parental neglect? I mean, it’s Loki, he’s the poster child of parental abuse/neglect. Brief mention of a mortal kombat fatality-style death.

   Full idea below:

We’ll call this Loki...Lodroid? Just for the sake of simplicity. (I might come up with a better name later.)

In this timeline, Lodroid was made as a ‘companion’ and ‘protector’ of sorts for Thor, as he was an only child in this universe. Everyone but Thor and Lodroid knew about it, but Odin made it an unspoken law to never mention it to either of them.

Lodroid was programmed with a ‘self-awareness protocol’ that basically forces him to avoid any thought or idea that he’s robotic. So, his mind forces him to avoid the thought subconsciously, which would be overridden by any physical proof that this is the case. (Thus why nobody is allowed to mention it.) Lodroid is also pre-programmed to see Thor as his brother and Frigga/Odin as his parents.

‘Magic’ infused within Lodroid’s body made him capable of magic on his own, as well as casting a disguise over his robotic body to make him seem organic. (Like how he was cast over to not look like a Jotun in the OG universe.) His robotics also made specifically to seem as ‘asgardian’ as possible. (Ie: He can eat and drink, which is turned into fuel to power him, he needs sleep, he feels pain, he feels emotion, etc.)

For many years, he ‘grew up’ alongside his brother Thor, Odin, and Frigga. (Odin still neglected him, he was still ignored and basically bullied by the other Asgardians, etc. Frigga still was kind to him though, still seeing him as her son, even if he was artificial, as she knows that he still has emotions and thoughts.)

So, it basically remains pretty similar up until the events of ‘Thor’. When they end up in Jotunheim. Here, Lodroid’s arm is grabbed by the Jotun, but instead of turning blue, his skin starts to crumble like it does for everyone else. Lodroid panicked and in pain, lashes out. Remember when I said he was a ‘protector’ as well as companion? He was outfitted with weaponry, which only activated here, when both brothers were in critical danger. Lodroid’s palm fires a blast of highly concentrated energy, which basically fires right through the Jotun (Fatality, Loki wins)

Of course, this wasn’t normal magic, Lodroid was well-aware of that as soon as he realized what happened. But if not his usual magic, what was it?

Thor gets sent to earth, and Lodroid goes mad trying to figure out what it was. Then, it clicks. He finds the beam matched that of the destroyer's almost exactly. Lodroid figures out that there’s an enchantment cloaking him and while standing in front of a mirror, uses his own magic to override the illusion. Only to be met with a terrible sight.

Lodroid is met with mechanics, metal, and two green, glowing camera shutter optical lenses. (I imagine it looks similar to a mixture of C-3PO and a terminator.) And now he can see it: ‘Self awareness protocols disengaged’... ‘System procedures visible’...  ‘Information overload in progress’... ‘Emotional levels reaching critical’...  ‘Systems crashing’...  ‘Oxygen levels compromised’...

This is the point he’s found by Odin, who finds him staring at his uncloaked appearance in the mirror. ‘Meltdown in progress’. However in this version of events, due to his not actually being organic, he’s disallowed the throne by default as he’s not recognized as Odin’s ‘real son’. (”Was I just some toy for Thor to play with until he grows bored of me?! What would you have done had you no use of me, would you have thrown me into a scrapyard?!”)

Frigga tries to get him to calm down, oh how she tries. But Lodroid, unable to access the destroyer’s might, is basically forced to confront Thor on his own. Thor doesn’t recognize him at first, as he’s still uncloaked here, but Sif and the warriors definitely do. It’s a shock to the senses for Thor, who up until now was also in the dark about it. Sif and the others are convinced that Lodroid is irreversibly off the deep-end, Sif even mentioning in passing that she ‘saw this coming a long time ago.’ (Insert Darcy making a robocop or terminator joke, you choose, lol.)

The fight is way more emotional than you might think it is at first. Lodroid and Thor basically ending in a tie as Thor basically tells Lodroid that regardless of what secrets may be hiding, that he’ll always be his brother. (He deserves a semi-happy conclusion to this, you can’t tell me otherwise.) Big difference in this timeline: Lodroid doesn’t go back to Asgard. He says he will once they try making the trip home (with some side eyes from Sif and the others.) but when they arrive in Asgard from the bifrost, he’s not there.

Nope, Lodroid left sneakily. He’s off to try and figure out what to do next after this huge revelation/identity crisis. But that doesn’t mean he won’t end up appearing for ‘The Avengers’. Thor is kind of bummed out, because he can’t find his brother, but hey, at least he can visit his girlfriend here instead of just disappearing, eh?

This post is getting long so I’ll leave this here for now. If people like it enough I might make a sequel for ‘The Avengers’.  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Finally watched Across the Spider-verse, initial thoughts:

I love how Across the Spiderverse basically went out of its way to say that things like the spider society and the TVA are fascist. That's my favorite thing, lmao.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I got major 'We don't talk about the MCU in this household' vibes from Across the Spiderverse. They made reference to it, yeah, but it felt more like it was a joke than anything else. (Which I appreciate, because modern MCU is trash.)

Not Hobie Brown being suddenly added to my list of favorite Marvel characters, lol. (Along with Pavitr Prabhakar, oh my god.)

Excellent. Kind of wish it didn't end on a cliffhanger, but if that's what you have to do to tell the story well, I'm more than willing to wait on what happens next.

Every single time I read something with the lantern rings speaking, I always imagine the red and yellow rings sounding like the Mysterons from Captain Scarlet.

I have absolutely no idea why, that’s just the voice my mind gave to them.

And in case you don’t know what they sound like...

MCU Hogwarts houses

Edit: Making this clear, I do not support JK Rowling or Harry Potter anymore.

Loki- Slytherin. Was there any contest? I don’t think so. His aesthetic, their personality, his vibe even, it all screams Slytherin. Thor- Gryffindor. Courage, Daringness, nerve, and Chivalry. All of those things are the main components of Thor’s personality. It also works for the sibling rivalry situation between him and his brother. Captain America- Gryffindor. I’ve seen a few people argue Hufflepuff and I honestly don’t get it. Steve is the embodiment of truth, justice, and the american dream. So much so that he’s willing to throw out his loyalty to the american government to uphold his moral compass. Thus, Gryffindor is the only choice for him in my book. Iron Man- I feel confident in saying he’d be a Ravenclaw. His first instinct when it comes to running into a problem is using the tech he manufactured to his advantage, and using his intelligence to come up with plans that people often don’t expect. (Iron man 3′s ending fight scene anyone?) He literally builds his identity on his intelligence and what it grants him. Bruce Banner- In my opinion, I feel like he’d also be a Ravenclaw. Shock to no-one, Mr ‘I have seven PHDs how many does Hulk have’ is a Ravenclaw. (Hulk doesn’t get his own hogwarts house.) Pietro Maximoff- Gryffindor. Pietro can’t be a Hufflepuff because like most speedsters, he has very little to no patience. He’s also the type to literally die trying to save someone, even soeone he had an unspoken rivalry with, which is far more of a Gryffindor trait than a Hufflepuff one to me.  Wanda Maximoff- A fellow Slytherin after my own heart. Resourceful, Cunning, and Ambitious, there’s no way that she could be anything else. She even fits the vibe of a Slytherin. Mysterious, somewhat intimidating, but isn’t outright evil.  Vision- He’s a Ravenclaw, no contest. This man is literally a super-computer, he has knowledge for days. Falcon- Hufflepuff. There is no other option. This man is a Hufflepuff, period. Bucky- Gryffindor. Figures Steve’s best friend would share the same house. Courage, nerve, chivalry, it’s all the same as it was for Steve. Spiderman- Hufflepuff. I mean, no wonder he’s one of my favorites- Peter clearly has the valuing hard-work aspect of Hufflepuffs down. He greatly admires the work everyone round him puts in, and even more greatly values people’s dedication. In terms of courage and chivalry, he’s not as well-rounded in those areas imo, and while he’s intelligent and clever, it’s definitely not his defining attributes. And...he’s not a Slytherin. I don’t think I even need to explain why. Starlord- Slytherin. Hear me out on this one. P quill’s situation is a bit hard to pin down, but I think of all the houses, Slytherin fits him the best. Maybe not in general aesthetics, but in the core personality traits. Griffyndor doesn’t fit mainly because of Peter’s lack of chivalry. Sure, he saved the galaxy, but in terms of genuine care for the people around him, it usually only applies to people he has a genuine bond with. Hufflepuff, he fits the aesthetic of one, the ‘fun-loving himbo’, but besides that, he doesn’t really have much in common with them. However, he’s street-smart, resourceful, and very ambitious. Attempting to make a name for himself and be the leader of any group he finds himself working with. (I mean, he tries to one-up Thor constantly, after all.) T’challa- Hufflepuff. The aesthetics betray the core principals that make up each house I notice. As, T’challa isn’t the partying himbo type, but he’s very loyal to Wakanda and his people/ancestry/culture. He does put value in hard work and dedication, and he’s nothing if not a patient man. I mean his core fighting plan is waiting for just the right moment to strike, like a real panther, so- Ant-man- Griffyndor. Chivalry is his thing. He literally went to prison because he hacked and ‘stole’ back money for people who were conned out of it. Courage? Well, he’s certainly not a coward. This guy is just one of those characters that fits very well into one specific house without much need for explanation. Dr Strange- Ravenclaw. Again: Fits very well into one specific house without much need for explanation. Hela- Slytherin. Like, as if there wasn’t already enough reasons to point out the ‘pick which of these three is adopted’ meme-

Musical headcanons (Marvel)

Unrelated, but: Do you think Jonathan Crane plays the fiddle? I can see him being able to, though that might just be my music-centric brain talking.

But, to the marvel headcanons!:

-I headcanon Loki can play the harp and the violin. I didn't really see anyone saying harp that much either so I guess I’m just on my own here, but for some reason the harp just makes sense to me? Of course, he can play a few other instruments, like the guitar, but the harp and violin are his favorites and simultaneously the ones he can play the best. (We already know he can sing, so I don’t need to really mention that.)

-I, personally, can’t imagine Thor playing very many instruments, so I just leave it to: ‘He never learned how to play anything.’ But maybe he could be interested in learning after some time with the Avengers? idk

A headcanon that may surprise a few people: I don’t think Thor can play any instruments, but I do think Thor can sing. Basically what happened goes like this: Thor found out that Loki can sing, he liked the idea of it, so he also learned as well, effectively unintentionally turning that into a competition between them as well.

-Tony? I just imagine him being able to shred a guitar. Electric guitar or otherwise. And though we never see anything that implies this, I just can’t get the image of him having an entire guitar room out of my brain. (On the flip side he’s also pretty talented with the piano.)

As for singing, he can definitely.

-Steve and Bruce are on the same boat with Thor, not being able to play any instruments. However, Bucky and Steve can actually sing! I imagine Bucky can hit notes like the guy in this. The man has range. Steve learned how to sing from a few of those old war videos. Bucky actually learned on his own from sheer wanting to. Bruce meanwhile can’t sing. He sounds like a screeching cat when he tries. Hulk is no better, in fact, he somehow sounds worse.

Steve, I imagine, isn’t really the type to sing very often. Bucky even less so, it would take a lot to convince Bucky to sing at all in front of people. Though if you catch him in a good mood, you might just hear him singing to himself when he thinks he’s alone.

Bucky can also play the piano, but he rarely does so after becoming the winter soldier.

-Pietro? Yes, he can sing. He’s one of those people who has a natural talent for it even. Wanda can also sing. If I can get a bit sad here: I imagine these two used to sing lullabies to each other on rougher nights when the couldn’t sleep. Whether it was the anxiety or PTSD, giving them nightmares of the time they spent with the bomb, or what have you. The specific lullabies being ones their parents used to sing to them before they went to sleep as kids.

As for instruments? Wanda, for some reason, strikes me as the type who can play the flute? Pietro on the other hand can play the drums.

-Sam can sing. He can also play the guitar, he can even do both at the same time. He can also play the drums.

-Peter Parker is learning how to play the guitar. However, he’s also interested in learning the trombone. As for if he can sing or not? ...eh... He’s trying to get better, but, you have to start somewhere, right?

-Vision could sing if he tried, but he’s not the singing type. As for instruments? ...I mean, he’s a living AI with access to the internet, I’m pretty sure he can play just about anything on the first go.

-Natasha can sing. She can sing damn good too. She’s basically what’s called a triple threat. She can act, sing, and dance. As for instruments? She sadly never had the chance to learn any, so she doesn’t know how to play anything.

-Also, for some reason Odin gives me vibes that he knows how to play the lute and I don’t know why?

-Frigga knows how to play the harp and taught Loki how to play it, I take no criticism on this headcanon in particular.

-As much as I wish I could say that ‘Scott can sing with the best of them’, I genuinely don’t think so. He might be one of those people who thinks he can sing really good but sounds like nails on a chalk board. As for instruments? It’s about the same.

-Clint on the other hand??? I swear this man could’ve been a famous singer if he wasn’t a SHIELD agent first. This man could get into a sing-off with Loki and tie with him. Instruments? Piano and guitar, though he’s better with guitar than the piano.

A Comment From Cinema Therapy’s Video On ‘Loki’.

A comment from Cinema therapy’s video on ‘Loki’.

Transcript and extra notes below:

I...disagree with the idea of Loki being a narcissist.

Acting out the way he does isn't just a trait of narcissists but also of people with low self-esteem, (I should know, being someone who has acted in such a way myself in the past.) Loki was clearly constantly put down by others, disrespected by who he thought were his people, and generally considered 'lesser' to Thor for most of, if not all of his life for seemingly no reason at all. (He 'feels' he's in Thor's shadow because he blatantly is. There's clear favouritism not just from Odin, but from all of Asgard.)

He never wanted the throne, nor did he actually want power or popularity, he just wanted someone to tell him that he was worthy, he wanted someone to tell him he was worth something and that he wasn't a monster like the other Jotuns were. (This is far clearer in the deleted scenes, where Loki hesitates to take the throne in the first Thor movie, and even looks to his mother, the only person who really seemed to love him, before taking it. As well as his clearly more lovable interactions with Thor before it was revealed that he was Jotun.)

I mean, hell, he tried to commit suicide at the end of the first Thor movie when his father, whom he tried to get recognition from, and who was certainly the biggest issue with his self-esteem, rejected him yet again.

I feel like this is most prominent when you take into account that he IS a Jotun, a being that he was raised to hate and fear. He believes he's a monster, and that coupled with his already problematic self-esteem just makes it apparent that he has the exact opposite problem that a narcissist has.   He does deeply care for other people as well. Frigga being the biggest example, in Dark world, he was heartbroken and devastated by her loss. (And the fact that the last thing he said to her was that she 'wasn't his mother' certainly didn't make it better.) Or in Infinity War, where he recognizes Thanos' plan to kill 'half' of everything, so, seeing as he's one of two brothers, gets Thanos to kill him so Thor will get out safely. Literally sacrificing himself for his brother, who he, on all accounts, shouldn't have cared enough to help there if he was a narcassist.

The mind stone and the sceptre weren't mind controlling Loki, but it was messing with his head, as is seen in-universe as well as mentioned in interviews. This is seen where he stabs Thor, as he's clearly shaken by what he's just done, even if you can only see this reaction for a few moments. He also doesn't believe in what he's saying in Avengers when he's telling the people around him to kneel, that's why Phil claims that he lacks conviction: Because he really does, he's doing all of this because he's hurting, and the mind stone is manipulating him, he doesn't actually believe anything he's saying there.

Before anyone brings it up as well: Ragnarok and the Loki TV show are pieces of MCU lore that should be taken with a grain of salt. Many things said in Ragnarok are inconsistent with the other movies (See Sif apparently having to prove that women can be warriors, yet, the Valkyries existed. Or the fact that apparently the Valkyries died before Thor's time but Thor always wanted to join them? Or the 'we were eight at the time' line, when Thor and Loki, being Asgardian/Jotun, age differently than humans, so by that point, would've actually been infants. The Loki show as well, Sylvie and the entire situation revolving around that comes with many character and story inconsistencies, such as magic seen not working in the TVA but apparently Sylvie can still use it in another episode.)

Basically, from where I'm standing, this diagnosis doesn't seem to make any sense? It makes more sense to say that he's faking narcissism just so he can look strong and more in control, while on the inside continuing to feel unworthy and unlovable. Lashing out not because he's truly hateful, but because, as you've said in another video: 'Hurt people, hurt people.' (Again, something I have sadly been through.) I'd also like to point out, in this way, his mischief seems more like a cry for help. As many will point out, if someone is neglected enough in early life, they're likely to develop a mentality of 'any attention is good attention', which seems to be pretty in-line with a lot of 'mischief' he pulls.

But hey, I'm not a therapist, and that's just my opinion.

Note: Narcissists aren’t inherently bad people. Don’t write them off as ‘evil’ or ‘monsters’. Not all of them are. Putting everyone in boxes like that for mental disabilities or neurodivergence is doing nothing but perpetuating harmful rhetoric and harming people.

...With that being said though, Loki ain’t it, chief.

Real talk though: Cinema therapy’s video on Loki is stupid as hell. ‘Loki genuinely believes he is superior’ is a direct quote, and as you can read from the above post, that statement is blatantly wrong on its own.

If I got anything wrong, feel free to mention so. I want to be sure I get as much correct as possible in this as not to miss anything or perpetuate any harmful stereotypes, I just went off of what was described in the video.

Thinking about Loki in Avengers 1 coming through the portal kneeling.

Thinking about 2014 Gamora in Endgame, when Thanos touches her hair and she drops into a kneel to get out of reach.

Thinking about how much I hate Thanos and can’t stand the fact that people on Instagram and YouTube still comment things like “Thanos was right” and “He must’ve really loved her or the soul stone thing wouldn’t’ve worked.”
