Wanted To Reshare This Old School Black Metal Style Design.

I added the keffiyeh I drew for my dove design to this simple bird silhouette.

As usual, ALL PROCEEDS from this design are for my Palestinian best friend, to help his girlfriend afford to join him safely in America and to help his friends and family in Palestine and around the rest of the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the increasing Israeli raids in the West Bank and the collateral damage in surrounding countries.

My friend will use the money to help support his girlfriend remaining safely in America until things calm down and to help his other loved ones around the Levant who are being hurt directly and/or financially by the attacks on Gaza, the raids in the West Bank (those have hit his extended family quite hard unfortunately) and the collateral damage in surrounding countries. I'm currently very worried about escalation in Lebanon and the impact that could have on the family he has there who have so far been relatively safe. Hoping things stay under control there. He will donate anything his family doesn't need to the Palestinian charities he works with (he's such a sweet person, he's involved in so much charity work for so many different causes, Palestinian and otherwise). I'm glad this design was approved in time for today. It's the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year. Candles have for obvious reasons been associated with this day in many traditions throughout history. They're also associated with mourning and vigil. As we celebrate our various winter traditions, let's remember the millions of people in Gaza now facing the darkest day of the year without light (or food, water and shelter). As you light your candles let them serve also as vigil for those we have lost and the horrors the living still face. Around the candle I placed poppies, olives and an orange, all symbols of Palestine, along with a scrap of paper with the Arabic name (فلسطين).

Just added a new map and poppy design, on the left. On the right is the last one I made. They can be found here and here. Poppies are common in Palestine and are often used as a national symbol, representing the colors of the flag and blood shed upon the land. I used my keffiyeh as a backdrop for the design on the left, it was a gift from the friend I am raising money for.
