Taash’s introduction is so much funnier when you remember that they have NO idea who Rook is
Rook literally rocks up in the middle of their work and is all, “Hey, nice to meet you, can’t wait to work together :)” and Taash is just ?????
They have no idea where this clown came from mid job or why Rook thinks they’re working together. Who is this rando? Did the lord’s hire them? Taash has done this job some many times before, why would they need help now?
Rook then proceeds to immediately step on Taash’s hot Qun button and it’s amazing they don’t just get punched.
Then it turns out that Rook is their new boss! That their mother hadn’t bothered to tell them about!?
Absolutely wild from their perspective
do
do we not remember
what happened
when isabela, admiral of the lords of fortune
stole an important cultural artifact
from the qunari
do we not remember the arishok fight
do we not remember why we had the arishok fight
isabela doesn't run the lords of fortune the way she does because she loves Ethical Piracy
isabela runs the lords the way she does because the last time she stole something important, kirkwall happened
having appraisers from a bunch of different cultures absolutely makes sense, and grabbing a finders fee for getting stuff back to its respective place is pretty reasonable (labour should be compensated)
like...it IS ethical piracy, but the root of it was never "oh maybe we should do better," it was always "hello my name is isabela and i would like to not get bodied by the entire qunari population a second time"
okay maybe this will work with putting it in Taash's tags :c
looking for an elven Rook save file for the final Taash romance scene for Rookanis modding purposes.
will give credit. 👉👈
i feel like i would be fixed if i could just sit and listen to taash infodump about dragons for four hours while i nap. preferably while cuddling. that would make me whole i think
On Friendship.
I've come far enough in DaV to have all companions and I don't get why so many people are upset with Taash's writing.
Y'all rave about having queer characters in the game, but as soon as a queer character isn't kissing everyone's ass 24/7 they're suddenly badly written?
If anything, Taash is perfectly written for being a baby trans who's discovering themselves. I sure was 10 times more difficult when I had my own self-discovery period.
I've also seen people whinge about that "Nobody likes being a woman" line.
Yeah, because Taash is forcing themselves into the woman mold and don't realize they're allwed not to. And they're assuming everyone feels the same because it's not like they've had discussions about it with anyone.
Misunderstand me not, there's been a lot of valid criticism of DaV, but Taash not being a trans character that is palatable to cis people is not it.
Random but I love when Taash handles things. They might be young and a bit confused around some stuff but they're nothing close to unprofessional and that's genuinely such a fun and compelling character dichotomy to have.
I was forwarded a DISSERTATION on how Neve isn't a real relationship for Lucanis, “because she doesn't validate Spite”, and truly, genuinely:
I need y'all to stop whole ass making shit up to protect your blorbo from this character, who is actually better than you in every way, and go see a therapist.
you guys keep hating on taash all you want meanwhile im over here getting tossed around like a sack of potatoes by the big beautiful qunari. more for me sorry you guys dont get it like i do.
do y'all ever have inside jokes with like. yourself. yeah you can't fuck him you'll end up on the ceiling... incomprehensible
