You own a hotel where fictional characters arrive from their respective universes for a break from the havoc of the worlds their authors create for them. Generally, things are quite peaceful, considering you’ve set up a strict rulebook & have the power to back it up yourself. Today, you can’t help but tell a few guests are using the hotel as a front for breaking one of the most carefully-upheld rules: never exchange materials & items from other fictional domains.

Those who have the ability to travel through time at their own will have but a fair price to pay for traveling; if you travel back in time, you lose a memory. If you travel into the future, you won’t remember a future event in your life. The further you travel, the “bigger” the memory is that one would sacrifice. This exchange is permanent.
