If the reason why the legislation got passed (that women legally means female) was because JK Rowling payed 70k in lawyers fees, shouldnât the takeaway be that people shouldnât be able to influence the decision of government with money?
Obviously 70k is a lot of money for most people (including me) but it isnât actually that much money in the grand scheme of things and if your saying thatâs all it takes to influence laws we would all be a bit fucked. Like 10% of the uk has over 70k saved up.
Woman is uncomfortable being in the bathroom with a trans woman so politely waits outside.
when the woman goes to the toilet she ins mistaken for a man (the person who says it to her isnât being aggressive).
thankfully the trans woman jumps into save the day, and actually âsheâ is never mistaken for a man itâs only the woman who has short hair and whereâs shorts instead of a skirt is mistaken for a man.
Even if this scenario happened, you have two women who are clearly uncomfortable being in a public toilet with someone they perceive as a man . This doesnât change because one woman is briefly mistaken for a dude.
Mens reactions to a story about women being brutally raped while on vacation in Dubai. It shouldnât surprise me anymore but it always does.
Men are happy enough to share these comments on a public platform, with their real name and photo of themselves. But we are meant to believe they give a shit about consent? We are meant to believe they view women as fully people? Women get condemned for being naive, but what young person isnât naive and trusting, who doesnât want to have a good time on holiday? Nothing is said about the men who attack us and rape us.
