It started with a glance.

Not the kind that you could wave off or explain away—this one lingered. Too long. Too soft. Too filled with something that should’ve never been aimed at you, especially not from Ellie Williams.

Not while her arm was around Dina’s waist. Not while Jesse’s hand was resting on your thigh.

And definitely not while the two of you were sitting at the same dinner table, playing pretend.

Jackson, Winter

The town looked peaceful from afar. The snow blanketed the trees like everything ugly could be buried beneath it. And maybe that was what you needed—a fresh cover. A layer of denial.

You leaned into Jesse’s warmth. He was good. Kind. Familiar. And he liked you so much it made your chest ache. You weren’t sure if you loved him back. Not the way he deserved. But it was easier to keep your secret hidden behind someone else’s love.

Ellie was across the table, laughing with Dina, but her eyes kept flicking to you. Not obviously, but often enough that it set your nerves on fire. Every time your gaze met hers, it was like a collision. And she never looked away first.

You’d barely kissed Ellie. Once. One drunken, hot, confusing kiss after patrol three months ago. And then she’d gone home to Dina. And you? You ran straight into Jesse’s arms, hoping he’d crush the memory from your bones.

He didn’t.

Ellie started getting reckless.

She’d find excuses to be near you. Late-night patrols. Fixing things in your cabin. Dropping by with dumb jokes and smug looks.

You tried to ignore it. You really did.

Until one night, she cornered you outside the stables, snow falling around you like static.

“You ever think about it?” she asked, voice low, breath steaming in the cold.

“About what?” you answered, even though you knew.

Her hand brushed your jacket. “That night.”

You froze. “I’m with Jesse.”

Her lips twitched. “And I’m with Dina.”

Silence.

Then: “But you’re not happy. Are you?”

It wasn’t a question. And it made something twist in your gut.

Ellie stepped closer, her mouth just inches from yours. “You’re still hiding. I see the way you look at me. You’re scared. But you don’t have to be.”

You shook your head. “I can’t, Ellie.”

“You want to.”

And then she kissed you.

Hard. Hungry. A kiss that felt like punishment and salvation all at once. You let her.

It happened in a haze of snow and silence. You showed up at her place after Jesse left town on a hunting trip. You told yourself it was just to talk. To set boundaries. To stop whatever was spiraling out of control.

But Ellie looked at you like you were oxygen and she’d been holding her breath for years. And you caved.

She didn’t ask for permission. She just walked up to you, touched your face like you were something holy, and whispered, “Tell me to stop.”

You didn’t. You couldn’t.

The first time was fast and rough. Desperate hands. Quiet moans. The sound of your heartbeat drowning everything else out. She made you feel things you had spent years burying.

And afterward, when your head was resting on her chest and her fingers were tracing your skin, she whispered, “I’d do anything to have you.”

You wanted to cry. Because she didn’t have you. Not really.

You saw Jesse the next morning. He kissed your forehead and handed you coffee like you weren’t a liar. Ellie watched from across the street.

That’s how it was, for weeks.

You lived two lives.

By day, you were Jesse’s girlfriend, smiling through your guilt. By night, you were Ellie’s secret. Her obsession. Her sin.

She'd sneak into your room when she knew Jesse was on watch. Touch you like a prayer. Tell you how much she hated seeing you pretend.

"You don’t belong with him," she growled one night, her fingers pressing bruises into your thighs. "You belong with me."

You knew it. You just couldn’t say it out loud. Because if you did, everything would collapse. Your safety. Your reputation. Your place in Jackson. Your lies.

Dina was smart. She started asking questions.

“Ellie’s been distant,” she confided one day while braiding your hair. “Do you think she’s okay?”

You swallowed your shame. “Maybe she’s just tired.”

But the truth was, Ellie had started to unravel.

She became possessive. Jealous. Angry. She hated Jesse.

She hated how you flinched when she touched you in public.

One night, after a fight, she said, “You’d rather be miserable than admit you’re mine.”

And you screamed back, “Because I’m not yours!”

But you still let her kiss you. Still let her take you apart behind closed doors. Because love like that doesn’t just disappear. It devours.

It came one night after patrol. Jesse found a note in your coat pocket. Ellie’s handwriting. Explicit. Intimate. There was no denying it.

He didn’t yell. He just looked at you like he didn’t know who you were anymore.

“I loved you,” he said softly. “But you never let me in, did you?”

You tried to apologize.

But how do you apologize for never loving someone enough?

He left.

And Ellie showed up hours later, breathless, eyes wide, saying, “Finally.”

But you didn’t fall into her arms. You looked at her and said, “This can’t be built on broken people.”

She reached for you anyway.

“I don’t care how we started,” she whispered. “You’re mine now.”

And maybe she was right. Maybe you were always hers.

Even in the dark. Even in secret. Even when it hurt.

You and Ellie didn’t speak much after Jesse left. You didn’t have to.

It was like some invisible thread had finally snapped—no more denying, no more pretending. Just her and you, bare and exposed in every sense of the word. It wasn’t peace, not really. It was just a temporary kind of stillness, like the sharp inhale before a scream.

Ellie started staying over.

She never brought clothes. Never talked about Dina. Never left you alone for more than a few hours. It was obsessive, unhealthy, maddening.

And you wanted her more than ever.

The cabin smelled like sex and pine and woodsmoke.

You were on your back, sweat cooling on your skin, hips sore from the grip of her hands.

Ellie hovered over you, flushed and wild-eyed, her fingers still buried inside you, slow and deliberate as she leaned down to kiss the corner of your mouth.

“You’re shaking,” she whispered, dragging her tongue along your throat. “You like when I ruin you like this?”

You moaned, breathless. “Ellie—”

“Say it.”

“I like it when you ruin me.”

She smiled. A dark, hungry thing. “Good girl.”

Her pace picked up. You writhed beneath her, clawing at her back, grounding yourself in the mess of sheets and want.

“You’ve been mine since the first fucking time I saw you,” she groaned into your ear. “All of this hiding? Over.”

You came undone with her name on your lips, loud and gasping.

And for a moment, it felt like that was all that mattered.

You were still naked when the door burst open.

Dina.

Behind her—Tommy, Maria, and a furious Jesse.

Your blood ran cold. Ellie didn’t flinch. She sat up beside you, bare-chested, glistening, defiant. She lit a cigarette and draped her arm across your waist like a warning.

You reached for the blanket. Dina’s expression twisted in horror, disbelief painting every feature of her face.

“You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me,” Jesse whispered.

“Get the fuck out,” Ellie snapped, shielding your body. “This is none of your business.”

Dina’s voice broke. “How long?”

Ellie exhaled smoke. “Since before you ever noticed she was alive.

Maria looked like she wanted to kill someone. “You’re both acting like this is a goddamn game.”

Tommy’s hand was tight on Jesse’s shoulder, restraining him. Jesse looked shattered. He wouldn't look at you—just the floor.

“I trusted you,” he murmured. “Both of you.”

You tried to speak, but Ellie cut in.

“She doesn’t owe you anything,” she snarled. “She’s not yours. Never was.”

“You’re a coward,” Dina spat at you. “You hide behind people who love you just to sleep with someone who destroys everything.”

And that stung worse than anything.

Ellie stood up slowly, pulling on her jeans without breaking eye contact with Dina.

“You done?” she asked. “Because we’re leaving.”

It wasn’t graceful. You packed what you could in five minutes. Ellie grabbed your journal, a gun, and a half-eaten protein bar and said, “We’ll get what we need on the road.”

“You sure about this?” you asked as she tightened her backpack straps.

She didn’t hesitate. “Only thing I’ve ever been sure about.”

You left behind your friends. Your history. Your reputation.

And Jesse.

You could barely look at him on the way out. He was standing in the snow, fists clenched, tears in his eyes. Ellie flipped him off.

“Fuck you, Jesse,” she called. “She was never yours.”

You said nothing. Because in that moment, it was true.

You camped just beyond the edge of Jackson’s territory, your back against a tree, Ellie wrapped around you like armor. The night was cold, but her hands were fire.

“You okay?” she asked quietly, fingers tracing the edge of your jaw.

“No,” you admitted.

“But you’re with me now.”

She kissed you slowly. Like it meant everything. You kissed her back like it was the end of the world.

Because maybe it was.

You ended up far out east. It was a small town with no name on any map—just a cluster of cabins, a few gardens, some old-timers who kept to themselves, and a lookout post no one really manned. Perfect for people who didn’t want to be found.

The first few weeks were quiet. Not easy. Not even peaceful. But quiet.

You and Ellie shared a room in an old abandoned cabin. It had uneven floors, a leaky roof, and the faint scent of damp earth—but to her, it was paradise.

To you, it was freedom. No more secrets. No more pretending.

Just her and you.

Ellie stopped biting her nails. You started sleeping through the night again.

She built a bookshelf from scrap wood and filled it with every book you liked to reread when you were anxious. You cooked over the fire, and she sat beside you while you hummed whatever tune had gotten stuck in your head that week.

She taught you how to patch wounds. You taught her how to braid hair.

“I didn’t know it could feel like this,” you whispered one night, fingers threading through her fringe as she lay on your chest.

“Like what?”

“Like it’s safe.”

She kissed your ribs, slow and careful. “We built that. No one gave it to us.”

Ellie started growing tomatoes.

She named each plant something ridiculous—Jesse Jr., Tomato Swift, Berry Allen. You laughed every time.

You grew basil and lavender. She swore lavender was useless until she saw you smile when it bloomed. After that, she started tucking it behind your ear when she kissed you.

On your one-year anniversary—though neither of you really knew the date—she gave you a leather-bound journal.

“I want you to write it all down,” she said, tucking a pencil behind your ear. “Everything we’re building.”

You did.

It wasn’t grand. There were no fireworks or fancy clothes or loud declarations.

There was Ellie massaging your shoulders after long days in the garden. You kissing her temple after she’d had nightmares. Soft blankets. Tea over the fire. A shared toothbrush when you forgot to find a second.

She stopped calling it “running away.”

“This is where we were always meant to end up,” she murmured against your lips one morning. “We just took the long way.”

You held her close. “I would’ve followed you through hell.”

“You did.”

You woke up beside her every morning, her arm always wrapped around your waist like muscle memory. Sometimes she woke before you, sketching you in the margins of her notebook while the sun broke through the windows.

You never talked about Jackson anymore.

Not out of guilt. Out of peace.

Because love—real love—had finally found you. Not in some perfect place.

But in the ashes of what used to be.

And when Ellie kissed you under the stars, her thumb tracing your cheek like a promise, you knew:

You’d do it all over again.

Warnings: cheating, men, homophobic parents

Summary: You might be engaged but you still always go back to Ellie

wc: ????

Just Found This Song A Week Or So Ago, And I Can’t Help But Think Of Ellie Every Time I Listen To It..

She's a little bit psycho

But she follows

When I call in the middle of the night

It might be a little superficial

She plays with the boys

But she comes home to me

Little fucked up but I think it's official

'Cause she might be your girl

But she's calling me daddy

"Hi Els" she heard you talk with a hushed voice. A smile spread onto Ellies face at the sound of your voice.

"Can you come over? I miss you" Ellie admitted.

"I miss you too" she could hear the smile in your voice.

God why did you have to be so fucking cute?

Ellie couldn't even see your face, but she can imagine the blush that spreads across your cheeks. The way your eyes crinkle anytime she says anything to you.

She knew the affect she had on you, but if only you knew what you were doing to her. It's embarrassing to even think about it.

"I'll try to come..." you started.

Excitement filled Ellie, as she thought of everything the two of you could do. You could watch a movie, or she could do your hair.

Oh! Maybe you can paint her nails-

"but Josh is here so I'm not sure" you finished your sentence.

The joy Ellie felt moments ago fell flat at the mention of your fiancè's name. She wanted to groan whenever you mentioned him in any conversation.

Why do you care so much? You don't even love him.

You quickly said goodbye when Josh called you to join him and all Ellie could do was wish she was him.

He gets to spend time with you. He gets to see you everyday, he gets to spend the rest of his life with you.

What does Ellie get? A few hours with you before you are called by your dear future husband. Hushed calls and quick texts.

No, Ellie didn't deserve this at all, but yet she stayed because she couldn't get enough of you.

As much as Ellie pretends to be in control of your relationship, you were the one that had the final say. Whatever you wanted, she would do.

It's kind of fucked up if you think about it.

The way you're playing the perfect daughter and the perfect wife while you would always come back to Ellie that same night. How you would take pictures with your fiancé, and soon after send Ellie pictures no one but your so called spouse should see.

It never bothered Ellie. Because she always knew that you belonged to her, and even if you were getting married nothing would change that.

She's mine

She wears a collar with my name

Secretive but not ashamed

She's mine

But I never tie her down

They always come around

Mine

Does he know that you call Ellie when he falls asleep? Does he know the type of pictures you send her? Does he fucking know how bad he is in bed?

Ellie wonders if Josh suspects anything. Hee probably wouldn't. He's so fucking stupid anyway.

He doesn't even know what your favorite color is. But Ellie does. Ellie knows everything about you.

The amount of times you've cried over your math homework. The amount of stuffed animals you had in your room.

Did Josh even know how much you loved Barbie when you were younger? Of course he doesn't.

Ellie let out a sigh when she saw your phone light up.

She gently reached over your sleeping figure, to grab your phone, trying not to wake you up.

When she turned the phone on, a picture of you kissing Josh appeared as your lockscreen. Ellie gagged at the photo, before she checked who sent you a message.

It was from the "love of your life", the message read 5 simple words: "when are you coming home?".

Ellie scoffed when she saw the text.

Is he really this fucking clingy?

Ellie replied "no! Sorry baby, I'm staying over at a friends house!"

Josh didn't even ask who. All he did was left you on seen.

Wow.

'Fucking nonchalant bitch' Ellie thought to herself.

She put your back onto the side of your bed as she lay down to face you. Ellie gently brought her hand up to remove the hair from your face.

Was this going to be it? Were you going to lie to your family your whole life?

Ellie didn't know the answers to these questions. And she knew even if she asked you, you would always reply with "I don't know Ellie" or "I don't want to think about it".

What happens if your affair gets exposed? Do you guys get to live a happily ever after?

In the past, before Josh was even in the picture, you and Ellie faced this same issue.

The two of you were madly in love but you could never be together. Everything you did was in secret.

Ellie liked to imagine that the reason why she never asked you out was because she could never stay committed to one person.

Back in college, Ellie remembered how'd she'd bring a different girl back to her dorm almost every night. But as soon as the sun rises she'd chase the girl out and she'd end up going to your dorm to cuddle.

She would always assure herself, that the reason she never told you back then was because she thought she would cheat on you. Like she did in all her previous relationships. But she knew that was a lie.

She'd been in love with you since the sixth grade, she was just in denial of her sexuality and she was terrified of your parents.

Ellie continued to stare at your sleeping face, as the light from the moon shown in.

If only she knew the situation the two of you would be in now, then she would've fought harder for you back then.

You should see their face when they finally realize

That she plays with the boys

But she comes onto me

Wanna change her mind but I get unwise

'Cause she might be your girl

But she's calling me daddy

You always knew you liked girls. Ever since you were a little girl. Your parents believed that only man and women could fall in love with eachother. You couldn't tell utter the word "gay" infront of them.

How were you supposed to live a lie? How were you supposed to pretend?

You fell in love with Ellie when you were 15.

The day the two of you lay on picnic blanket eating dry pieces of bread because Ellie forgot to bring toppings. You remembered you told her a stupid knock knock joke and Ellie laughed at it.

She always laughed at everything you said. Even when it wasn't funny. You looked at her that day, as tears fell from her eyes at the amount of laughing she did.

You realize you liked her a little more as a friend.

In a gay way.

When you were 17 Ellie kissed you.

And god you thought it was magical.

It felt like fireworks exploding. The world around the two of you blur as your lips passionately danced together. It felt like how all the romance novels described it.

You knew since that day, since that kiss, that what you and Ellie had was real.

The two of you started dating soon after.

Your biggest fear was that your parents would've found out. You'd be sent to boarding school, Ellie would be taken away from you and you'd be treated like shit for loving someone.

Unfortunately your worst fears soon became a reality.

Your mother had walked in while you and Ellie shared a quick kiss, and all hell broke loose.

Your mother ran in yelling, pulling you away from Ellie.

She blamed Ellie for making you this way. She used to say Ellie brainwashed you. But if only she knew. If only she believed you when you told her, this was love.

Your mother held you in her arms, as you reached out for Ellie. And soon after that, Ellie was kicked out and banned to come to your house or anywhere near you.

You were sent to boarding school and for the rest of your life your parents made you feel like shit, they made you feel worthless because of your sexuality till Josh came along.

The only reason you agreed to even consider getting married to him was so that your parents thought that you would be "healed".

After you were sent to boarding school you lost contact with the women you loved. All the men you've been with never compared to Ellie.

And even when the two of you reunited, you both knew your story wasn't over.

The love you shared was stronger than anything.

And as you stood infront of the mirror, wearing your wedding gown, all you could do was imagine that Ellie was the one waiting for you and not Josh.

In the mess

She's responsible

Change her mind

It's impossible

Close your mouth

You, catch a fire

Watch the girl get

What she likes

Ellie stood up as the wedding music started playing.

The crowd erupted in cheers as you walked down the isle.

Ellie looked toward your husband to be, the grin on his face made her sick. She wanted nothing more than to get a chair and to hit him in the face.

Ellie watched as your father left you with your husband. That should be her standing there. Not Josh. You should be the one walking to her, she should be the one you wore that dress for.

But yet you stayed true to your parents and you chose to walk down the isle to get married to someone you felt nothing for.

She watched as she fake smiled, she watched as you said I do and as you said your vows.

"You are mine for a lifetime" Josh spoke as he finished his vows. No you weren't. You weren't his.

She watched the lips that she has kissed so many times kiss another person. The pit Ellie felt in her stomach grew heavier, it felt like she could vomit at any moment.

The second you and your husbands lips touched the crowd cheered and screamed. Chants of your new surname filled the room as you locked hands and faced the crowd with your new husband.

A smile spread across your beautiful face, as the two of you started exiting the church.

You and Ellie locked eyes, as you made your way out of church. You gave her a small wink. A smile spread onto Ellies face.

That wink gave her hope.

Just because you got married doesn't mean you have to stop seeing eachother.

You've always been hers.

You don't need a ring to prove it. You don't need a wedding to prove your love for eachother.

Even though you were married Ellie had nothing to worry about, because she knew at the end of the day you'd be calling her daddy.

Just Found This Song A Week Or So Ago, And I Can’t Help But Think Of Ellie Every Time I Listen To It..

Authors note: a less depressing one for the first time in a while lmfao, but don't worry your regular scheduled angst will return in my next post;).... remember you are loved and to always be kind, my requests are also always open. I love you all!

Yours truly,

Zia <3

Can you do your favorite tropes?

Fake it - ellie williams x reader

Hi anon! I wasn't sure what you meant when you asked for my favorite tropes but my top 3 are: fake dating, forbidden love and the classic enemies to lovers :)

Can You Do Your Favorite Tropes?
Can You Do Your Favorite Tropes?
Can You Do Your Favorite Tropes?

Pairing: ellie x fem!reader

requests are always open feel free to leave one! or you can just send me a song and I'll take it from there :)

Warnings: none, it's literally just fluff

Summary: You and Ellie reminisce on how the two of you got together

wc: 1k

( if you want to be added to a tag list just leave a comment and I'll add you to future work <3 )

Can You Do Your Favorite Tropes?

“So” Dina started as she took a swing of the amber liquid in her glass, “how did the two of you get together exactly?” she asked confused on the information you and Ellie just shared with her.

You met Ellie’s gaze, as you thought about answering the question. A grin started to form on Ellie’s plush lips as she stared telling the story:

It was Ellie’s idea. She would’ve never come to you if she wasn’t desperate.

Ellie and Cat.  An unlikely duo. Nobody expected the two of them to start dating but they did. They were together for almost a year. Everyone thought they had the perfect relationship but behind closed doors it was hell. They argued, they lied to each other, they said hurtful things, and they both manipulated each other.

At some point Ellie had enough and she left Cat. No matter how much it hurt her, she left. She wasn’t going to force herself to stay in a relationship that only brought her pain.

Cat didn’t make things easy for Ellie after the break up.

She would show up at Ellie’s house, she would lie to people saying they never broke up, she always went where Ellie went. She was borderline obsessed with Ellie.

In the beginning she could handle Cat. She could ignore Cat’s advances. But the longer her and cat stayed broken up the more obsessive Cat grew. Ellie didn’t know which was worse, being in a relationship with Cat or being broken up with her.

And that’s when Joel suggested Ellie gets with someone else. Joel’s exact words were “maybe is she sees you with someone else she’ll leave you alone kiddo. It’s worth a shot”

She tried. God knows she did

Ellie went to the club that night, and just as she was about to leave with a girl Cat came around the corner.

“Babe where have you been?” she asked with a sickening smirk on her face. The pretty girl next to Ellie gasped at Cat’s words.

“You didn’t tell you had a girlfriend” she practically screamed.

“I swear she’s not my girlfriend-“ Ellie tried to explain. Her explanation didn’t go far before the girl slapped Ellie across the face. Walking away she yelled: “you are fucking disgusting”

Ellie’s face reddened with embarrassment at what just happened, her eyes met with Cats: “did you miss me?” she asked a smug smile on her face.

“no I didn’t“

Ellie needed her stop.

At this rate Ellie would never find a girlfriend.

Who wants to date a girl whose ex is a literal stalker?

And that’s why she sat across you. She needed your help.

“So you want us to fake date?”  you question.

Ellie nodded, her head jerking almost violently

“Please” she begged “it’s just till she leaves me alone”

You agreed. And it was the best decision of your life.

You and Ellie had 2 rules during the time that you were “together”

No kissing

No falling in love

Fortunately both of you broke the second rule.

It started off great. Holding hands, going on little dates. Cat was mad. Every time she spotted the two of you she looked like a toddler who was ready to burst into a tantrum for not getting their way. Cat tried worming her way into your relationship. She spread rumors, messaged you countless times and tried lying to you about Ellie. She tried. And none of her ideas ever fucking worked.

You would never admit it out loud but you found it quite funny when you and Ellie made an appearance and Cat had to leave the room to “get some air”.

It was all fun and games till you realized that you actually caught feeling for her. You broke one of the rules, and the longer you were with Ellie the worse your crush got. You knew the two of you dating was fake but god it felt so real.

The way Ellie looked at you made you think that maybe someday she would feel the same.

You got a text from Ellie saying: come over we need to talk

Fuck

Tonight was the night Ellie was ending things.

You knew things were coming to an end, but you wish it didn’t have to happen so soon. Your hands were shaking as you sat in Ellie’s living room.

Were you still going to be friends after this? Did you actually stand a chance?

The room was filled with an awkward silence and you looked at Ellie in all her glory. She cleared her throat and said: “Cat stopped texting me” the room fell silent once again.

“ I think she-  I think she’s d-done with me” Ellie said

“That’s good Els” you added

“so this agreement is done?” you asked, voice small hoping Ellie said no.

“Yeah”

Oh.

“It was nice fake dating you Els” you said with a small smile as you got up to leave.

“Who said I was faking it?” she asked suddenly, looking up at you.

“What do you mean-“  you started before you felt Ellie’s lips on yours. The kiss was magical. It felt like you were floating. Ellie’s lips were soft and her touch was intoxicating. She pulled away as the two of you breathed heavily.

“God I’ve wanted to do that since I started fake dating you” she said breathless.

You hummed agreeing with her statement. She leaned her forehead against yours.

“Do you want to go on a date?” Ellie asked nervously “like a real date”

You looked at her, with a small smile on your face: “I’d like that” as you brought her lips down for another kiss.

“That’s so fucking cliché” Dina snickered as Ellie finished telling the story.

“Heyyy” Ellie whined “it’s a cool story” she said, as she threw her arm over your shoulder you felt her lips press a gentle kiss to your temple “i’m going to tell this story to our kids one day” Ellie whispered into your ear.

A smile spread onto your lips at Ellie’s confession.

Yeah you might have gotten together to get rid of her psycho ex but if you never did, you wouldn’t have fallen in love with the girl of your dreams.

requests are open! send me your silly thoughts

Warning: emotional manipulation, abandonment, grief, mentions of depression

Summary: in which she left you bleeding

“Every time I think maybe this time it’ll be different.”

You always swore you wouldn’t be the kind of person to beg for love.

But Ellie Williams makes you forget that.

She walks into your life already in pieces, smelling like old blood and regret. And somehow, you make yourself believe that if you hold her long enough, she’ll stay.

She never does.

You know her patterns now: The way she disappears for days without explanation.

The way she shows up at your door at 3 a.m., soaked in sweat and shaking.

The way she never says your name like it means something—but touches you like she’ll die if she doesn’t.

You should walk away.

But the truth is—you need her.

And that’s the worst part.

Because even after everything, after every goodbye that wasn’t really a goodbye, you still hope.

Hope that one day, she’ll look at you and finally say it.

Not I’m sorry.

Not I didn’t mean to.

But I love you.

She never does.

And the more you wait, the more it eats you alive.

“I don’t love you. But I don’t want you to love anyone else.”

Ellie is selfish. She knows that.

She tells herself it’s because she's lost too much. Because she doesn't know how to be good for anyone—not anymore. Not since Joel. Not since Seattle. Not since the blood, the screaming, the way Dina looked at her like she didn’t recognize the person standing in front of her anymore.

Ellie was never meant to find someone else.

But there you were. Soft. Kind. Safe.

She told herself she wouldn’t get close. That she was just tired, just lonely, just... fucked up.

But you looked at her like she was worth something. Like there was a version of her that wasn’t just made of scars and anger and ash.

So she let you in.

Just enough. Just enough to feel real.

She came back to Jackson after one of her episodes—days gone, no explanation.

She automatically made her way to your place. She quickly knocked at the door, almost excited to see your face. When you opened the door Ellie didn't expect to see you in the state you were in.

She didn't expect the silence. She didn't expect the tension. She didn't expect you to look the way you did.

You'd normally be angry. But this time was different.

You were not angry.

Not even hurt.

Just... empty.

“You always come back,” you say, looking at her “But you never stay.”

Ellie tried to tell you the truth—that staying feels like suffocating. And she's not ready to stop running, because if she does, all she hears is the sound of what she's lost.

“I don’t know how to love you the right way, I'm trying my best.” Ellie admits, and it’s not enough. She knows it isn’t. It never has been.

You laugh, bitterly. “Trying isn’t enough anymore, Ellie.”

And Ellie don’t have anything left to give.

Because you're right.

Later that night, Ellie sat on the roof of the old church where the stars peek through cracks in the clouds. She smokes a little. And Ellie thinks of the way you looked at her. The disappointment  in your eyes, the way your voice cracked, your honesty.

“Every time I think maybe this time it’ll be different.”

Ellie remembers how you looked sleeping next to her. Peaceful. Trusting. Like you believed—really believed—she wouldn’t break you like she broke everything else.

She did anyway.

She thinks she pushed you to your limit. She knows she broke you.

You’ll move on one day.

Someone else will pick up the pieces.

Someone who doesn’t flinch in the night or run at the first sign of quiet love.

And Ellie will be alone again.

But safe.

Because if no one gets close, no one can leave.

No one can die.

No one can love you just to stop.

Ellie didn’t mean to keep cutting them open.

But that’s what she does

She's the cut that always bleeds.

And you're just another scar that never gets the chance to heal.

“You break me, just to fix yourself.”

The first time you kiss someone else, it feels wrong.

You think about calling her. Just to hear her voice. Just to remind yourself why you held on so long. But you don’t.

Because this time—maybe—you’ll let yourself heal.

Maybe the cut can finally close.

And maybe, when she knocks on your door again, you won’t open it.

You’ll listen through the wood. You’ll hear her whisper your name.

And you’ll stay silent.

Because love shouldn’t be something you survive.

It should be something that lets you live.

And Ellie Williams never gave you that.

<3

Idk If Ur Taking Requests Anymore, But I Rly Love Ur Stories! Could You Do An Ellie X Reader Story Based

Crash the car again

The same mistakes again

Don't wanna hurt you like I did

Screaming, crying, dishonesty. These were some of the words you used to describe you and Ellie’s relationship. It was unhealthy. It was toxic. Religious people would always quote that one bible verse where it says a dog would vomit and then it would go back to eat its vomit. The same way sinners would go back to sin. The same way you would go back to Ellie.

You and Ellie’s relationship hadn’t always been toxic, there were happy times too. The times she would come over and the two of you would watch a movie together, that one time Ellie snuck you out of Jackson to show you a dinosaur museum. You were happy. Very happy.

Until Joel died.

When Joel died Ellie changed. She became cold, distant.

But you understood why. She was grieving.

And you truly did assume that eventually she’ll go back to normal. But then her obsession with finding Abby started. She left Jackson. You were broken.

Life without Ellie felt like a life without sunlight. There was no light. No joy. It was cold. You remembered the countless nights of you crying yourself to sleep. The nights you would reach over and touch the side of the bed Ellie lay on. It was always cold. The cold side of the bed was a painful reminder that she chose revenge over you.

But Ellie came back to Jackson.

You were happier than ever.  Because you waited for Ellie. You put your life on hold for her, because you couldn’t imagine a life without her.

Ellie changed. She became more aggressive. One second she would be ok the next moment she’d explode with anger. Hurtful words leaving her mouth. And that was when you decided to breakup with her, for the first time.

The breakup lasted 2 weeks. And you went back to her again. The arguments and lies got worse, and you left. For a second time. But not long after you came back. You would always come back.

That’s probably why you were standing outside Ellie’s house. The two of you had an argument 3 weeks ago. Ellie had lied to you about where she slept the previous night saying “don’t worry baby I’m going to Maria and Tommy” but you soon found out she went to her ex-girlfriend’s house.

She lied. You were hurt. You felt Betrayed. And you broke up with her again.

But you came back. You had to talk to Ellie.

But for the first time ever, you weren’t here to take Ellie back, you weren’t here to listen to her bullshit promises, you were here to say goodbye. You were her to end it all, so that you could be free from Ellie’s harsh words. You were doing this for yourself. And for the sake of your mental health.

You shakily reached for the door, your left had curling into a fist, you felt the wood on your knuckles as you lightly knocked.

The door flew open, revealing Ellie in all her glory. Her autumn brown hair is longer, reaching past her shoulders, dark circles covered the bottom of her beautiful eyes.

“Baby?” she asked softly eyes wide.

'Cause I'm not waiting for you

But I don't want to hurt you

Ellie knew Joel’s death affected her in more ways than one. She knew her mental health suffered because of his death. Out of everyone she hurt and killed the last person she wanted to cause any harm to was you. But it was as if she couldn’t stop herself from hurting you.

She couldn’t kill Abby because she knew it wouldn’t bring Joel back. She was filled with anger. Pain. Hatred and she didn’t know how to get it out. And there you were. Her soft and sweet girl, that waited for her.

In a way Ellie was jealous of you. How innocent you were. All the people she killed, everything she did to try and get Joel some justice, just made her dirty. And there you were. Ellie sometimes wondered why you wouldn’t just leave her. All she did was hurt you.

She wanted to make you feel what she felt all these months as she went after Abby. But yet you stayed. And that’s why she was so surprised to see you standing in front of her house with a small smile on your face.

“Hi els” you spoke softly; your eyes briefly fell to the floor as if you were preparing to tell her something. Something big. Something Important.

After a few seconds your eyes met again, and you spoke once more; “we need to talk”

All alone again

It hurts my heart again

I think my blood is running thin

I'm away again

It hurts my head again

Don't wanna be away from your skin

As toxic as your relationship was, you both couldn’t stay away from each other. The countless times you and Ellie broke up, the two of you would sneak out to meet each other. Just to be in each other’s presence.

Neither you or Ellie would never admit it: but you can’t live without each other. The two of you had built such a bond that you were both so incredibly dependent on the other for comfort. All the nights Ellie cried when you left her, all the days Ellie would plead and beg you to come back because she would change and she would be a better person. She really tried. But she couldn’t. Her past was haunting her. It traumatized her. Broke her beyond repair. When she looks at you the only thing she could imagine was all the people she had to kill. But at the same time she felt comforted by your smile.

Ellie was planning on changing but she doesn’t know how.

How does one go back to the way they were before they watched their father figure get brutally murdered?

But you had other plans. There isn’t going to be a next time. You weren’t going to let Ellie say another word that will put you into another depressive episode. You had to end it all.

You sat across her, and Ellie felt like her heart was being ripped into a million pieces. It felt like her heart was shattered, and you were watching her bleed pout.

She had been shot, stabbed, but the pain of the words you muttered, hurts even more.

“Earth to Ellie” you said because she went silent. She zoned out thinking of all the ways she could try to get back together with you.

“No” Ellie spoke “you can’t do this”

“I can” you said softly the room fell silent, the tension rising.

“Ellie” you spoke again “we can never be together again” you started “you hurt me too much” and Ellie felt shame wash over her.

“I’m sorry” she said with a pleading look in her eyes “I’ll change” and Ellie watched you shake your head.

“You never fucking changed, what makes me think you’ll do it now?” you spoke harshly.

You got up and started walking towards the door. Ellie felt the tears running down her cheeks. She watched your figure walk towards the door. You didn’t even look back at her.

 “Goodbye Ellie”

Hurt myself again

I thought you'd notice it

Don't wanna fix it like you did

Your body was found on a Saturday morning. You were hanging from the roof. You had hung yourself. You didn’t leave a note. No one knows why you killed yourself. Your secrets died with you, the reason and the problems you faced, went to the grave with you. And this puzzled Ellie.

Why didn’t you tell her?

Yes, your relationship was bad, but you could’ve told her. She would’ve helped you. She would’ve hurt those who harmed you.

Two days after your body was found your words ran in Ellie’s mind.

You keep hurting me….

It was her. Ellie was the problem. Ellie was the reason you felt so depressed that you ended your life.

 It was all her fault

She felt bad, guilty. She murdered you. She had your blood on her hands. Ellie didn’t deserve to be alive. The day of your funeral she watched as your body was lowered into the ground, Ellie’s loud sobs echoing across all of Jackson. Ellie wished that was her. She wished she was the one being buried because you didn’t deserve that. Ellie start hurting herself. She’d watch her blood drip onto her bed as she cut herself. She wishes she could give some of her blood to you. She wishes she could give life back to you. Her blood in exchange for your life. The way Jesus died on the cross to give us eternal life the same way she wanted to die. For you. To give you the life you deserved.

I think I'm okay by myself, I'm doing great

But we'd be better together, better together

Together though, together though, together again

Ellie thought your death would be good for her. Maybe if you weren’t there she’d be ok. But your death made everything worse for Ellie. She thought she could live in a world without you. She realized she couldn’t and as Ellie took her final breath as she lay on her bed bleeding out, she hoped that she would be reunited with you in the afterlife, that the two of you would finally be together.

They say death separates people. Death rips families and relationships apart. And that’s what Joel’s death did to you and Ellie’s relationship. His death ruined the only good thing both of you had left. But now that both you and Ellie have passed away, she hoped that her death might bring you back together. For your souls to be intertwined.

Ellie hoped that if God was real that he would take pity on her and forgive her sins. That He let the two of you be together in the afterlife. That death would bring you closer. And that you’d be together forever.

hi queen!! I wrote this while on my period. I think we all need to be treated like this tbh.... I hope you enjoy:)

Hii, I Love Your Work!! Could You Write An Ellie Fanfic For Periods Mby? It Could Be User Or Her. Tysmmm!!!

Pairing: ellie williams x fem!reader

requests are open, send me your thoughts:)

Warnings: Period cramps, implied period symptoms (bloating, mood swings), fluff overload, light cursing, domestic vibes

Summary: In which she needed comfort

Masterlist

“I’m not dying, I just feel like I am.”

Ellie’s curled on the couch like a defeated cat, hoodie pulled over her head, arms hugging a pillow to her stomach.

You hear her groan as you walk in, the kind of pained noise that makes you drop the supplies and immediately kneel beside her.

"Hey. That bad?"

She doesn’t answer—just gives a small, pathetic nod under the hoodie.

You brush some stray hair from her face and kiss her forehead. It’s hot—she always runs warm when she’s cramping. Her nose is pink. Her eyes watery.

“I brought chocolate,” you say softly. “And a hot water bottle. And those trashy action movies you like.”

She peeks at you with one eye. “The one where the guy jumps off the building with the motorcycle?”

You grin. “Director’s cut.”

She manages a half-smile, but it quickly fades when another cramp hits. She curls tighter, biting her lip.

“Okay,” you say gently. “Pants off.”

“What?”

“I’m putting the hot water bottle right where it hurts. Don’t argue.”

She blushes—Ellie, blushing—but obeys. You slide the warm bottle under the hoodie, pressing it gently to her lower stomach.

A breathy “fuck yes” escapes her mouth, and you chuckle.

Then, you lift her legs over your lap and start rubbing slow circles into her calves. She melts like butter—eyes fluttering shut, face relaxing.

“You’re too good to me.”

“You say that every month,” you murmur.

“Because it’s true every month.”

She opens her eyes again, softer this time. Vulnerable.

“I hate feeling like this,” she admits. “Like my body’s turning against me.”

You press your lips to her temple. “Your body’s just a little pissed off. It needs chocolate, heat, and a lot of love.”

She hums. “Got all three, huh?”

“All day, every day.”

You feed her tiny bites of chocolate while the movie plays, wiping a bit of it off her cheek with your thumb. She’s quiet now, calmer, one hand tracing lazy shapes on your thigh.

And when she finally drifts off—wrapped in warmth, comfort, and your arms—you don’t move.

Not even when your leg goes numb.

Because this is what love looks like:

Hot water bottles, stolen hoodies, and a girl tough enough to kill monsters but soft enough to need you.

Can You Do Something With Dye It Red By Beadbadoobee It’s Her Best Songgg 💕

This story is based off the song, Dye it red by beabadoobe, if you can please listen to the song as you're reading:)

Pairing: ellie x fem!reader

requests are always open, feel free to leave one:)

Warnings: murder, mentions of gore (not that graphic, but it's there), toxic situationship

Summary: In which you dyed your hair red

Authors note: thank you for 300 followers! I'm in tears, I love you all <3

Kiss my ass, you don't know jack

And if you say you understand, you don't

You don't

You don't

You don't

Fuck me, only when I'm keen

Not according to your beer

Your beer

Your beer

Your beer

you saw her contact name, appear on your phone. The red heart you put next to her name, mocking you.

god you were so stupid for falling for her

You hesitantly picked up the phone.

"Come over" you heard her demand from the other end. You could hear the music booming. She must've been at a party.

"Ellie" you said firmly. "You should stop calling me, I'm not a fucking dog that you can call, and expect to show up whenever you want"

"but I miss you baby" she slurred.

Yep, she was definitely drunk.

"Listen-" she started

"I know fucked up but I miss you-"

You didn't even let her finish before you ended the call.

You threw your phone onto the other side of the bed as you broke out in tears. You fell to knees as you held a pillow close to you. Normally Ellie would comfort you, but now she was the reason you were so broken.

You fucking hate love her.

Loud broken sobs left your mouth. She had no fucking right to call you. You deserved better, after what she put you through. The humiliation, the lies, the cheating- you didn't deserve that. No person does.

People like Ellie thought they were god. She always got what she wanted. She was always in control. She was attractive, confident. Narcissistic at times. She was a walking green flag.

Until the two of started seeing each other.

Ellie was nice to you in the beginning. She took you on dates, bought you everything, she spoiled you rotten. She made you soft.

When you thought the two of you were official, Ellie told you that she had been cheated on in the past and she couldn't commit. And you believed her.

You trusted her. You made excuses for her. You defended her.

The longer you and Ellie stayed in this 'relationship', the worse your life became.

You couldn't look in the direction of another women, but Ellie could flirt with as many as she wanted to. Ellie would go days without talking to you, only calling when she wanted a quick fuck.

It took you 7 months to realize that you meant nothing to her. And now here you were ignoring her calls, hoping that she'd leave you alone.

You couldn't block her, you loved her too much for that.

You were pathetic.

How could you love someone so heartless?

but the heart wants what it wants. And all you craved was Ellie.

You sobbed for hours.

Your eyes were puffy, your throat felt raw, before you picked up your phone again.

No calls or texts from her.

Wow.

And here you thought she was trying to fix things.

So let me be what I've wanted to be

So let me cut my hair and dye it red if I want to

I haven't found myself so comfortable

I'm not stopping n

Touch me as if you mean it

Accept I'm getting tired of being all alone

Alone

Alone

Alone

And if it's not from you

Guess I'll find it on my own

you looked yourself in the mirror as you the red dye stained your hair.

You felt free. Like you could actually express yourself.

With Ellie you felt alone. So empty. She controlled your every move. What you wore, your hairstyles, everything.

She'd call you doll because you were only a doll in her eyes. Someone she could dress up, fuck and leave when she was done.

You thought she'd loved you.

The way she touched you, made you feel loved. Her warm hands on her waist, the tender kisses she left on your forehead. It felt like love, but it wasn't.

You saw the way she touched Dina. She looked at her with the same eyes she looked at you with. The same touches, the same smile, and the same promises.

Fuck.

You wanted to vomit when you realized that you weren't the only one.

There was before Ellie. A girl who was insecure, someone who thought she deserves to be alone. There was during Ellie, a girl who was controlled and suppressed, now there's after Ellie.

Who were you? Who were you without her?

Maybe dying your hair red, could give you the identity you craved.

You watched the dye color the water red, as you rinsed it out.

It reminded you of blood. It reminded you of Ellie's blood that flowed after you payed her a visit earlier that day.

You dried your hair and you looked at yourself in the mirror. You looked good like this.

Dying it red was a good idea, after all.

Think I'd be better off alone

Now that I've had some time to think

I've had to put up with your shit

When you're not even that cute

And maybe it's time to change my ways

But that doesn't include you

you've put up with her shit too long. You knocked angrily at her door, you just wanted to see her stupid face and tell her what you fucking thought of her.

Ellie opened up the door, and she looked at you with grin on her face "I see you came.. I knew you couldn't resist me"

You wanted to punch her so bad.

You gave her a fake smile before answering "of course I did, anything for my favorite girl"

Ellie smiled at your response.

She's so pretty.

No, she's not. She isn't.

Pretty people aren't bitches you thought to yourself.

You were here for answers, not to admire her.

Ellie welcomed you in with open arms. You silently walked behind her, and you truly felt out of place in her apartment, even though you were here so many times.

Everything was fine before she had to open her goddam mouth.

"You're so fucking pathetic, you know that right? You ended my call, but yet you're here" she laughed.

You blacked out. You were so fucking angry.

In an instant you grabbed a vase that was next to you and you hit Ellie over the head. You fell to your knees as you repeatedly hit her head with the vase.

When you snapped back to reality the only thing you saw was, blood shards of glass and Ellie's bloody body on the floor.

The blood was oozing from her head as it colored her hair red.

You stared at the scene. You were a murderer.

You left her apartment instantly. Not looking back to see if she was alive, you just left. You couldn't be in the same room with the person you loved so much at one point. You took her fucking life.

You got the urge to dye your hair after you killed her. Her hair looked so pretty red, but yours looked better.

You were a new person now. With new confidence, looks and energy.

maybe she didn't die in vain.

The next month after Ellie's murder, it was all peaceful. No more calls, texts, or insults.

You were free. You weren't her toy anymore.

You were a new person, it's all thanks to the girl who hurt you so much.

If you were to ever do a part two, to any of your stories which would it be?

ohhhhh I'd probably do a part two of she calls me daddy! Like it does have potential for another part... Maybe Ellie and reader kill her husband and they run away together or maybe Ellie loses her mind and breaks into their house and just watches them live or something else even more messed up:)

See the potential dude...….. But idk if people want something like that tho lmao

Summary: in which she took you for a ride

masterlist

She drove like she kissed—reckless, sharp, and impossible to forget.

The city lights blurred through the passenger window as Ellie floored it, her hand resting casually on your thigh, fingers tapping out some beat only she knew. You had told yourself you weren’t going to fall again, but here you were—burning for someone who didn’t promise anything. Someone who wouldn’t slow down.

You turned your head and caught her smirk as the engine roared. She looked like she belonged behind the wheel of something fast. Something dangerous. Something just like her.

“You okay?” she asked, like she didn’t already know the answer.

“Are you?” you shot back.

Her fingers pressed a little firmer into your skin.

“Come here,” she muttered, taking a sharp turn that made your heart stutter. She pulled into the back of an empty parking garage, shadows swallowing the car whole.

The world fell quiet.

She leaned over the console and kissed you like she was trying to leave a mark. It wasn’t gentle—never was with Ellie. Her tongue pushed past your lips, one hand threading into your hair while the other slid up beneath your hoodie. She dragged her nails along your ribs, and your hips shifted toward her without thinking.

“Climb over,” she said, voice low and commanding.

You didn’t hesitate. You straddled her lap, knees pressed to the leather seat, hands in her hair. She pulled your hoodie off in one clean motion, mouthing along your collarbone, biting when you whimpered.

Her hands were everywhere—rough, searching, greedy.

“Think I’m obsessed with you,” she murmured, dragging her mouth down to your chest, tongue teasing a nipple before she sucked hard enough to make you gasp. “Or maybe I just like the way you fall apart for me.”

You tugged at her shirt, exposing the ink that curled around her ribs. Your fingers skimmed the scars on her shoulder, the ones she never talked about. She shivered, but not from the cold.

“You always drive this fast?” you asked, voice thick.

“Only when I’m trying to outrun something,” she said, pulling a condom from the glovebox with one hand while kissing you breathless with the other.

Her jeans were undone in seconds. You pushed her back, straddling her again as she guided you down slowly onto her strap. The stretch made your head fall to her shoulder.

“Fuck—” she hissed, hands gripping your waist as you started to move. “Just like that, baby…”

The car smelled like sweat and sex and the faint scent of pine from the old air freshener swinging by the mirror. You rode her hard, chasing that sharp edge, watching her eyes darken as she lost herself beneath you.

Your name fell from her lips like a confession.

She came first, hands trembling, mouth open against your throat. You followed seconds later, collapsing against her as your heart raced like her engine.

You stayed like that for a moment. Silent. Breathing each other in.

But Ellie was already lighting a cigarette, window cracked, profile cold in the moonlight.

You leaned back, pulling your hoodie over your bare chest.

“You always leave after?” you asked, knowing the answer.

She looked at you. Quiet. Apologetic in that way that never changed anything.

“I don’t know how to stay,” she said simply. You nodded. Like always.

Because she was a sports car—built for speed, not forever.

And you? You were just trying to survive the ride.
