Finally someone said it
"Heeramandi aesthetic dressing up" girlie we are talking about tawaifs who faced multiple atrocities and women who were constantly faced with stigma as well as objectification.
SO glad that france officially made abortion a constitutional right but i think people saying “france is going in the right direction, light years ahead of the USA” have all forgotten about all the racism????? hijabs and abayas are illegal in public schools and have recently been banned for french athletes in the 2024 paris olympics. france is actively making anti-muslim legislature. do not praise them without knowing what they’ve done
Hello ! Thank you so much for being patient with me ! I am a Palestinian academic educator from bleeding Gaza. Life is dire and desperate that is why I am asking you to support my donation campaign to help evacuate a whole family from this catastrophic place. Your contribution helps the children of the family live in peace and safety. Don't spare this moment of giving your hand to people in bad need to you. Being fighters against oppressive systems is cool until it's a white blond billionaire who doesn't utter a word about the genocide happening in maybe the recent longest geo-religious-political conflict ever that her country (she proudly represents) funding it. Oh and we might hurt her feelings for that because she just went through a breakup with a racist. Oh and she doesn't need to speak up about anything it's not her job, but commenting on a tiktok to disprove pregnancy rumors is so feminist and really shows how people need to stop commenting on women's bodies! It's serious matter.
Israel is bombing Rafah where millions of people are taking refuge. 610,000 children are in Rafah right now. Rafah is also a tent city where IOF forced people to go saying it's a safe zone. Israel has also taken control of Rafah crossing which means millions of people are trapped. Israeli tanks from three sides and sea on one side and bombing from the sky.
Fuck the Met Gala

You know the funny thing about Afghanistan?’ Griffin’s voice was very soft. ‘The British aren’t going to invade with English troops. They’re going to invade with troops from Bengal and Bombay. They’re going to have sepoys fight the Afghans, just like they had sepoys fight and die for them at Irrawaddy, because those Indian troops have the same logic you do, which is that it’s better to be a servant of the Empire, brutal coercion and all, than to resist. Because it’s safe. Because it’s stable, because it lets them survive. And that’s how they win, brother. They pit us against each other. They tear us apart.

guys i actually beg of you to not let palestine become an unpleasant flashback, a transient tumblr trend, a hasbeen subject that just faded away. as an arab—and specifically iraqi—girl, i know what it feels like to have family displaced all over the world as a result of western imperialism. i know what it feels like to not be able to step foot into your homeland because it’s no longer safe. as an american iraqi, raised in the us and insulated from my roots, it wasn’t until last summer that i was able to visit iraq for the first time, and even then my family was worried for my safety—in my own blood country. although nothing like what palestinians are experiencing right now, it might be the tiniest semblance of what it feels like to watch your country disintegrate in front of you.
and this is a universal arab experience. i volunteer weekly at a refugee center that serves middle eastern refugees, and every day i see the longing in their eyes when they speak of where they hail from. it’s safe to say that we will be getting a wave of palestinian refugees very soon: just another generation of arabs who can’t inhabit their own country.
arab culture is so rich, so profound, so beautiful. i am tired of being told by the world—through literal genocide—that it doesn’t mean anything. please never let this be forgotten. free palestine. free palestine. free palestine.
