Born to Henry Pry and Lady Beatrice Black, he was raised at the family seat of the Blacks, Tudor Close in Hampshire, England. After the deaths of his parents, Thomas and his sister were adopted by their maternal uncle Lord Ravencroft. After his education at Eton College, Black studied archaeology at St. John’s College, Oxford, and graduated with a doctorate and honours. A prolific philanthropist, Black has donated generously his time and money to various charitable organisations and community affairs, mainly involved with children welfare. Has received numerous academic honours and is affiliated with several academic institutions.
