caitlyn has grown up with the world at her fingertips. she can have whatever she wants, do whatever she wants. she has so much control.

but when her mom dies, it hits her especially hard because it’s not just that caitlyn failed to protect her mother. caitlyn believes she had the means and the power to protect her mother, but she failed to do so.

she has so much control. she should have been able to control this situation.

many people will blame themselves for not being to save someone. but in caitlyn’s situation, it’s so much more brutal to know what you genuinely had the power to save someone, but failed.

this does not justify caitlyn’s actions. nothing will be able to logically justify her actions. but caitlyn is human. she makes mistakes, and because she is in a position of power, her mistakes affect a lot of people.

THOUGHTS ON ARCANE FINALE (NO SPOILERS)

I liked the ending of the series. I didn't love it but didn't hate it either. To be honest I was expecting it to end the way it did (thank you Lemony Snicket). I was still surprised but still. It's bittersweet at best.

Do I wish some things were better handled? Yes. Do I also wish there was more time spent on certain characters? Also yes. But hey, no show is truly perfect, but damn, can it be close to it. I couldn't tell you the last time any form of media made me this hype.

I salute you Riot, Fortiche, and everyone else who worked on this series, you did a damn good job. Can't wait to see what you have in store next.

I'm still not playing LOL tho.

Warm up with the clue characters

Soooo… I binged 1899 pretty much the moment it came out, then immediately re-watched so I could start working on this piece of 1899 meets Clue/Cluedo fan art. 🔎 🛳️ I loved the multilingual aspect of the show. The sets were gorgeous, and seeing them took me back to some very fond film-related childhood memories. The cast was brilliant, the music was spot on… loved the whole thing and it has a special place in my heart. I know I haven’t done it justice in any way as I sprinted my way through 10 portraits (choosing between characters was hard :( ), 8 items, and 12 locations (*screams internally*). Still, it’s done now and I had a blast :)
