It was that simple
i love comparing the fake stories that each twin was told

Dark Souls isn't just about how fucked everything is. It's about hope in hopeless times, the power of small acts of kindness in a cruel world, and how through the indomitable human spirit even the lowliest wretch can fell giants.
Bloodborne is about how fucked everything is.
Just a few more hours
I feel like it's hard for any other game narrative to truly surpass Bloodborne in my heart because Bloodborne takes the typical "live, die, respawn" cycle and goes "isn't dying and reawakening over and over again its own nightmare? Isn't it horrifying to awaken again and again to a blood soaked world and to have survive only through slaughter? And is does your prey even deserve slaughter? Are they not all victims of the hubris of others?" But the only way out is through a bloodbath of your making. They just weave the narrative into the core gameplay seamlessly. And then they play really sick music while you fight the coolest monsters ever designed (which are eldritch horrors, victims of one's own hubris, more victims of other people's hubris, and the witches of Hemwick, idk what their deal is).
I feel like so many problems people have with tv at the moment could be solved if we just went back to the good ole days of 20 episodes a season that’s just sixty percent filler and character development. Give the people what they want- less condensed story and more meaningless shenanigans
all I do is play videogames, eat hot chip and lie
