i'm gonna be honest i don't get why they say everypony instead of everybody in mlp. it's not like the word everybody is human-specific. the ponies have bodies. the word everypony, however, is pony-specific in a world where ponies are not the only people in their society, which means it would be more accurate and inclusive to use everybody instead of everypony. it all makes no sense to me

I know tis ironic that the penitent "sinner" in this case is an angel while the object of worship is Satan's daughter, yet there's no couple that fits this archetype better! Kinda extrapolating in a nitpicky way from a single line but with Andrias's 'One life for thousands' thing like. LA has a population in the millions. I think Andrias straight-up has no idea how hugelarge Earth is. Thousands seems reasonable for a large population center to him.

Listen okay bear with me LISTEN. Amphibia is canonically roughly the size of Australia. which is only about FIVE PERCENT of Earth's surface landmass. Like Team Imperialism was already COMEDICALLY underprepared to actually invade Earth let alone actually WIN but this is hysterical.

Like there'd be a lot of civilian casualties + it's not like anyone would just let them invade but also, despite the vast gulf in tech, on the whole between sheer size and SO Many other factors (I have a truly bloated draft laying around Somewhere talking about these factors. Somewhere), Earth would have chewed the invasion up and spit it out like particularly cheap gum.

And what about Darcy you ask? Easy, they were going off of ~1000 year old data which was. whew. iirc human population around 1000 AD was estimated as like. A fraction of a percent of our modern global population. Ole Darce was more interested in tech and military capabilities rather than raw numbers and other seemingly basic bitch intel that supposedly would be less of a factor in the case of Alien Technological Superiority (which lol. lmao. bro ur just as dead if they kill u with a pointy stick or with a scifi railgun)

It pissed me off so much because it revealed that even the utilitarian moral view Kyubey espoused was bullshit. Not only was he lying when he said humanity would eventually get to take part in the galactic community that benefitted from this power extraction, or at least it didn't matter whether that was true, but it also showed that he didn't care about having a permanent solution to entropy. No matter how much energy he got, if there was a "quota" you could be satisfied with meeting even if it destroyed your means of production, then you were never concerned with a truly perpetual solution, and the only reason to even be bothered by entropy in the first place is if you want something to last for literal eternity!

That alternate timeline where Madoka becomes a witch and Kyubey goes “Looks like she’s gonna destroy the entire planet… oh well that’s not my problem” is both hilarious and chilling to me
