Hey you, do you enjoy Turk Vincent? Do I have a fun little bit of fandom history for you! Do you know these fanarts?
These were all done by the same artist! Their name is Yoneko and they did many, many, many artworks of Vincent starting in the early 2000s but a lot of their most popular works were done between 2013-2017ish.
Many of their Turk Vincent artworks are reposted very often to the point where a good amount of their art is the first thing that comes up when you search "turk vincent" online! But when you see them they're reposted to sites like Pinterest with no credit given or shown anywhere.
Below the keep reading is a collection of a bunch of their most reposted Vincent Valentine arts, as early as 2006, collected from their twitter, pixiv, as well as their old webpages (here[this is the large archive of their work] and here) that I was able to find. Some are a bit spicy so this is your warning.
They are still semi-active on their twitter account and their pixiv account so go check them out their work is obviously still fantastic.
They recently did some Vincent art on their twitter as well!
caption (roughly translated, I do not know japanese): wip I'm drawing Turks Vincent for the first time in about 700 million years, and I was surprised to find that my hands perfectly remembered how to draw hair, etc. I've been drawing for over 10 years, so I guess that's what I've learned.
Valenwind Week 2025 with all the Cid and Vincent shenanigans that came to my mind! Plus an extra illustration I did just in time for @aelkurai-art who asked for Cid and Galian chilling by the night fire~ And since it goes so well with last two promtps, I'm adding it to this batch.
wow kinda into this new dark fantasy isekai

man I dont kno don’t look at me like I kno what I’m doing
very silly fancomic project i made in a sort of frenzied love inbetween work. I wanted to get back to something i loved as a kid since it's FF, so I was very inspired by the aesthetics and mannerisms of 90s doujinshi. Tried to follow that as far as I could, using g-pen and borrowing a tiny screentone from a friend, as well as making the cover in pale yellowish copics and ink. Only the text is digital... It's fun to get back to just creating goofy stuff with your hands, even if the result is very wonky. i didn't storyboard it or anything, so it just kinda goes with the flow. but i hope it's fun!
I swear this is the last time I reblog this shvsbsgs but I managed to dig out some process pics from back in august! Since this post gained so much traction, i may make an ms paint tutorial in the near future- stay tuned ;))
Because, you are... a puppet.
I'm at the point with gen ai where I'm so frustrated ppl keep "falling for it" not because I'm trying to police people's posting habits (lord knows I don't control what others do) but because it feels so completely devoid of asking the question "who made this and why and how?" To which the answer is no one made it and you technically can't get more like it, there is no meaning to it, and there is nothing to learn from any process.
If the art looks really good but there's no trace at all as to who made it or who the cosplayer is or where the location is? It's probably ai or stolen!
If the art has a really striking style but the person who posted it just posts random aesthetic photos or memes? It's probably ai or stolen!
We need to start asking questions of the art we see, otherwise we're going to keep falling further and further into gen ai hell. Ask questions, get involved, talk to the artists you like.
