stars (skies troposphere astrometry rapture space) #26 ~ a moonrise along the sea of the sky . .
. . one of the few things that can rival a sunrise or sunset. because sunrises are the hopes of new beginnings while sunsets are the beauty of final farewells. but moonrises and moonsets are neither, and both the beginning and end of a melancholy that flows from these sea of clouds and right through me. a cold, dark and hollow me.
~ a.k.a.cross drowning in the clouds yet still watching the moon
p.s. will the moon or someone ever mean as much to you? i hope for you they do.

Gene That Helps Regulate Sleep Identified
Caltech biologists have performed the first large-scale screening in a vertebrate animal for genes that regulate sleep, and have identified a gene that when overactivated causes severe insomnia. Expression of the gene, neuromedin U (Nmu), also seems to serve as nature’s stimulant–fish lacking the gene take longer to wake up in the morning and are less active during the day.
