i really gotta spend more time with my grimoire
we parted briefly. she's a messy one.
and i need to address a few things, as well. i'm a pretty neutral page, and being uplifting to those just starting out in their practice is something i enjoy doing. positivity and encouragement is extremely important.
i've been seeing a lot of "you're a real witch when___" lately
no. just no.
you're a real witch regardless if you're self sufficient or not. look up spells if it's needed, find a mentor if it's needed, educate and find yourself with your pace. it does not mean you're any less.
you're a real witch if you don't have a grimoire, or you don't have your spells memorized.
you're a real witch if you fall into depression and find it hard to practice. make sure your deities know this, find little ways to keep them happy.
you're a real witch, regardless of race, sexuality, whether you're just starting out or you've been practicing for years.
you're a real witch if you're not gatekeeping.
don't discourage our young witches. they need reassurance too. there is no wrong or right way to practice, as long as you're aware of which practices are closed and shouldn't be used unless you're from that heritage.
you're a witch, period. stop telling people that they have to fit a certain criteria to be a "real witch"
the connection a witch has with nature is undeniable.
it's incredible, feeling at peace inside a humid forest.
it's unexplainable, feeling the energy underneath the water when you reach through it's current.
the connection we have is inside of everything. the sunshine, the rain, the call of the wind, the fire that keeps us warm— both inside and out.
we come from nature. we must treat her with respect.
Kiyree Ta’Ire, shapeshifter, dryad, assassin
The earth beneath her paws was rough, covered in sticks and stones. It did not matter though. It was a welcoming sensation to finally feel the ground with all its shapes between her claw-spiked toes, to smell the moist earth, the bark of trees and their rustling leaves.
Her heart still raced inside her chest after she had chased a rabbit through the shrubs. For fun. Something Kiyree did not like but her wolf did. At times it was an odd thought that the wolf was a part of her, was who she was, and yet was so different to her. She loved the wolf though. Without her she would never be able to hear and smell and feel the nature like it was. Its beauty was limited even to her dryad senses.

☀️Sun water☀️
Protection, healing (especially physical), happiness, truth, clairvoyance, courage, strength, prosperity, luck, self-love, cleansing, confidence, leadership, justice, gardening, growth, warmth, comfort, fertility, and creativity
Leave the water on a sunny windowsill or outside, preferably in direct sunlight. Sunrise, 9 am, 12 pm, and 3 pm are perfect times for this, or you can leave it from sunrise to sunset. You can also add herbs and flowers to it as well (lemon peels, orange peels, marigolds, chamomile, cinnamon, sunflower, etc.) Or charge it with some stones (like sunstone, orange calcite, citrine, tigers eye, goldstone or carnelian), but please don’t put these stones in the water. You can also make a sun tea with sun water for a very potent solar spell.

A Mini Post: Sunflowers in Witchcraft 🌻
Harvesting & Storage In late September, the petals will fall off of the sunflower head and the head will start to curl. When you peak into the head you will find that the seeds are visible and turning black. When this happens, cut the stem far enough from the head that you have a good handle. Then hang the head upside down in a well ventilated area out of the sun until it is thoroughly dried out then shake and rub the seeds out into a bag. Alternatively, put a mesh bag over the sunflower as it starts to ripen to protect it from the birds and let it ripen on the stem.
The seeds will keep longer in their shells. They will store up to a year in the freezer but will start to go bad after about 2 months. The oils begin to go rancid. Exposure to sunlight and heat will speed up the process so store them in a cool, dark spot to get the most out of them. You can roast them like pumpkin seeds in the oven, sprinkled with a little salt, or not.
Magical Attributes Sunflower is associated with the sun and all solar deities. Its essence helps balance the first chakra and also helps with confidence in leadership roles. Growing sunflower in the garden brings positive energy to the home. (Plant near the front door so everyone sees it before they come in!)
The sunflower is also considered a figure for internal healing and happiness. It can be paired with rose, lavender, sage, and balsam to boost spells while you cast.
Cleansing Crystals If you have certain crystals that should not be cleansed in water, you can always place them in a bowl of flower petals; adding sunflower petals to the mix can really help with your process.
Household Use Sunflower oil can be used to make homemade soap (though coconut oil is best) Sunflowers can be used to extract toxins from the soil including lead, arsenic and uranium. Simply plant them in the tainted area and don’t eat their seeds!
Healing Attributes Sunflower oil can be used as a carrier oil for healing used in massages and ointments. If you work with candles to to cleanse your energy from negative to positive, you can combine lavender, sage, and sunflower petals during your meditation. As a best practice, blessing your candles and your flower petals can really help boost your meditation and transfer to ensure that you’re filtering out as much negative energy as possible.
