I decided to make myself an album design project centered around something I used to doodle a lot in my early college years—Sierpinski gaskets and Apollonian gaskets. (Incidentally, I think I may have found the one thing that’s easier to draw traditionally than digitally...but perhaps that’s because I’ve been drawing a lot of economics graphs for exams for the past four years, so I’m used to drawing geometric things by hand at this point.)

While I know there’s no such thing as an “Artemesian Gasket”, I decided to assign Sierpinski gaskets to Artemis, because Apollo and Artemis are supposed to be diametrically opposed twins, and triangles are the opposite of circles, imo (because triangles have the bare minimum of three points for a shape, and circles have theoretically infinite points on their circumferences.)

I’m currently working on Apollo at this time, and I’ll showcase that one in the near future.

I’ve been on a roll for the past day or so.

Anyway, have some gothic angel amputation as done by a demon.

I've noticed that I'm quite abysmal at keeping up drawing whenever I have a new partner in my life.

I love art and design, but I'm absolutely infatuated with my bae, and it's conflicting. because I don't know how to balance both loves at the same time, as well as my day job.

I don't know what to do with myself at the time, and advice would be lovely.

So, I only worked a couple more hours on the hands up top, but I’d say it’s vague progress.

Forgive me, but I’m slipping into my old habit of listening to a bunch of hard rock, emo music, etc—and just rolling along with it for the sake of design. Any maybe to test some AfterEffects skills, if I can get my main computer to cooperate with me. (And I’m worried I can’t.)

Anyway, I’ll admit that one of the handful of genres I listened to A LOT growing up was hard rock...and there are times where I’ll sporadically recall lyrics from various songs, and go “Huh. Why can I remember THAT off of the top of my head?” Sometimes it’ll be relatable, and sometimes not.

Anyway, have some Three Days Grace related typography. Go listen to the song. Go enjoy yourself. Resist any urges to go scream at exes. Resist any urges to go punch your exes. Forget about the blood on your hands. Rinse your hands and repeat.

So, I finally got to making the base vector for my webcomic’s logo...other little fixes aside. Also, this means that the name of this project is out there. :P

(That said, I have learned that it’s actually significantly harder to make wordmarks in Adobe Illustrator that look like wood carvings than it is to do more curvy handlettering in it. Yikes.)

This should be the absolute last thing I should probably have finished for today...because ain’t poster design fun?

I decided to finish (mostly) an old Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer doodle I had in the depths of my computer a long time ago—but with it being explicit that Rudolph just has issues with allergies and sinusitis. His nose glows because he’s miserable. (I mean, why else would his nose glow red?)

I have 50 followers now! I’m planning on doing a Twitch stream around 6:30PM EST or so in order to personally celebrate. (And I will uncharacteristically draw fan art chibis. Probably.)
