This is adorable.
The hero and the dark lord have both disappeared after their battle, making everyone think they both perished. In reality, they are living on a farm, living the life of their dreams.
I typed out this story for my friend last night but then I realized it was in format that hilariously resembles tumblr ramblings. So I'm posting it here:
Well, I was going on a walk in the dark on the bike trail by my house and there was a guy on the opposite side of the trail to me. I actually thought he was a woman for a sec cause he was so short lol but he got like 30 feet away from me and said "hey, how're you doing mate?" (In an impressively not Australian/British manner) and I was like, 'bro can't possibly be talking to me, he's probably on the phone with somebody' but then he gets closer and I see he's walking a dog and he WAS talking to me cause he says the dog is friendly and that I can pet her. But also this man genuinely thought I was just a cis guy and it was really awesome I love men (platonically, I'm a minor lol)
Not even just fanfics, this applies to literally any kind of media. Poetry, paintings, sculptures, graphite/charcoal drawings, pottery - if you like a post then LIKE IT.
I really don't understand how "without getting kudos or comments a fanfiction author is going to assume that people who clicked their fic didn't like it" became a controversial take.
I don't know why some people think an author should imagine, or guess that people who click their fic enjoyed it it when nobody is telling them that.
If you're re-reading a fic constantly, or leaving it up in your tab so that it re-loads every day for a hundred days the author is not going to know that unless you tell them. They'd love to hear it. It would make their day.
And if you don't tell them you liked their fic, there's no reason for them to assume you did.
Hi, I'm Cyanic | 17 | he/they | anything from painting to poetry, you name it, I've probably done it or planned to do it. But also, I procrastinate. A lot. So most of this is just reblogs of stuff I thought was cool, esp. animal and nature related stuff.
