The cameraman stirred awake as a bright light shone against his eyes. That sleep sucked. It wasn’t the worse sleep, but it still sucked and his body was aching. He looked around, right…he was in this place.

There were some people awake, but the only people, he really cared about was Tenshi and Nyssa. Nyssa as laid on the ground, her legs propped on a bench while Tenshi was resting against a wall, his hand on the axe firm. Vinny noticed the people he was warned about were awake, more specifically this guy named Tex.

There was nothing out of the ordinary with this guy, he just had massive asshole vibes radiating from him. The cameraman probably would’ve avoided him even if he wasn’t warned. Vinny let out a sigh as he rubbed his head. He had a migraine. Of course he did.

The cameraman just sat there for a while, he didn’t want to talk to anyone. He didn’t even know if he could fully trust Nyssa or Tenshi, but he hoped he could trust them. Most people seemed somewhat scared of Tenshi, and for good reason too. Surviving 25 years in this place has got to fuck someone up mentally and physically.

“Hey new guy!” Someone called out to Vinny, catching his attention as he looked up from where he was sitting. “Come join us!” The guy spoke, the man had dusty grey hair and black eyes, he was also sitting with that guy called Tex.

“Nah, I’m fine here” The cameraman answered, he had trust issues at this point. Rida ruined his trust in anyone.

“Nonsense! Just a quick conversation, we wanna get to know you!” Tex spoke as he walked over and harshly grabbed Vinnys’ arm, dragging him off the ground and onto his feet. The cameraman tried protesting, but was dragged over to the group with the other men. “I’m Tex, that’s Chris and that’s Jun” he spoke as he swung on arm over Vinnys’ shoulder.

“I’m Vinny?” The cameraman awkwardly introduced himself as he tried pulling Tex’s arm off him.

“Nice name” Jun spoke, though it was clearly a lie hidden between honeyed words.

“What’s a guy like you doing here? And that fight yesterday was entertaining as Nyssa said” Chris chuckled out as he sat next to Vinny.

“How the fuck am I meant to know?” Vinny grumbled as he rubbed his forehead, he was not in the mood for this. These guys were annoying.

“It’s strange that the fight was ended before anyone died” Tex spoke, “You know anything about Rida?” He questioned.

“No” The cameraman answered bluntly, he didn’t want to tell anyone what he knew about Rida, mainly because he hardly knew much about Rida.

“This is really nice” Tex snarked as he lifted Vinnys’ arm and stared at the arm bracers. “Where’d you get em’ from?” He asked, as he watched the cameraman pull his arm away.

“Wouldn’t you like to know” Vinny hissed as he tried getting up, only to be pulled back down on the bench.

“Why so harsh?” Jun asked with a smile, “We’re trying to be friendly”

“I didn’t ask you to nor do I care” The cameraman answered as he knocked their hands off of him.

“What happened to your hand?” chuckled Chris as he grabbed Vinnys’ hand, he still had stitches in his hand from when he had Zane and Pixal stitch up the stab wound from Enji.

“Why don’t I represent it on?” The cameraman scowled, pulling away his hand once more as he stood up trying to walk away, only to be threw against the table.

“Your face is awfully plain” Tex chuckled as he grabbed the dagger from Vinnys’ pocket and pressed it against the cameramans’ cheek, not hard enough to pierce.

“Get off me asshole” Vinny hissed, he was not in a mood for this. Everyone he met now seemed to be assholes, he still wasn’t sure about Nyssa and Tenshi.

“Shh, wouldn’t want to wake up those two” Tex chuckled as he pointed to Nyssa and Tenshi who were sleeping on separate sides of the cellar. “I’m sure if we tried hard enough we could kill Nyssa, so it would be smart to stay quiet” he added.

Vinny growled in annoyance before bringing up his fist to greet Tex’s jaw, earning a pained hiss form his as he dropped the dagger and stumbled back. “Little bitch” the cameraman spat as he picked up his dagger from the ground.

The three didn’t have a good reaction to this as Chris and Jun lunged forward and held Vinny against a table and just as Tex was about to punch him, someone stopped him. “Are you fucking insane?!” It was Nyssa, the cameraman let out a sigh of relief as he saw her holding back Tex’s arm.

“He deserves it” Tex spat as he rubbed his sore jaw, and tried bringing his fist down to meet Vinnys’ face. Nyssa kept trying to stop him, but Jun distracted her and Tex managed to get a punch on Vinny. Other people in the cellar began waking up and witnessing the fight as the cameraman managed to dodge one of the punches, before kneeing Tex in the guts.

Vinny managed to scramble away before watching as Jun and Nyssa fought, Nyssa was trying to get over to the cameraman, she knew Vinnys’ defensive abilities and safe to say they weren’t ‘good’…

Tex and Chris tried attacked Vinny again, pinning him to the ground. The dagger was grabbed by Tex and he was about to stab it into the Vinnys’ throat. “Fucking hell! You’re so short tempered!” Nyssa hissed at Tex as she tried pushing Jun off her.

“So what” Tex hissed as he lifted the dagger, Vinny writhing around trying to push them off and escape. Tex was distracted by a hand on his shoulder as he was thrown back. “Who the hell!?” He hissed as he looked up at the person, his voice trailed off as he saw Tenshi standing there holding an axe.

“Let him go” Tenshi spoke to Chris, who was still holding Vinny down. To say that Vinny was let go of quickly would be an understatement, Chris removed his hands of Vinny faster than the speed of light. “You let her go” Tenshi added as he pointed the axe to Jun who was holding Nyssa down.

Nyssa was let go of quickly as she rushed to Vinnys’ side, helping him up. “He is right about you…you all are little bitches” Tenshi muttered to Tex and the other two. His voice was low and scarily calm yet threatening. Did Tenshi hear what they were talking about before?

Tex and the other two rush off into the other corner of the cellar, while Tenshi just scoffed as he went back and sat down against the wall. “When the fuck were you on his good side?” Nyssa whispered to Vinny, “He’s never protected anyone like that”

“I mean, we talked last night?” The cameraman confessed as he dusted himself off. They both heard murmurs from all the other people in the cellar.

“You two come here” Tenshi spoke as he dropped the axe down onto the ground next to him. Nyssa exchanged looks of wordy with Vinny as they went over to Tenshi and reluctantly sat down when he patted the ground.

“You’re not gonna kill me right?” Nyssa bluntly asked, she was very clearly nervous as he bounced her leg repeatedly.

“Kill you? No, if you so as betray my trust I will torture you, same as you” Tenshi spoke to the two as they nervously nodded.

“Fair” Vinny sighed out as he stretched.

“What even happened for you to get them so pissed?” Nyssa questioned as she leaned back.

“They wanted to know me better, and I didn’t want to know them” the cameraman began, “Tex took the dagger and was gonna scratch my face so I punched him” he continued.

“You forgot to mention something” Tenshi muttered.

“Like what?” The cameraman asked as he cocked his head, Nyssa seemed confused too.

“They told him to be quiet so he didn’t wake you up, and they said if he woke you up they would kill her…that’s when you punched her” Tenshi answered, causing Nyssa’s eyes to widen as she looked at Vinny.

“Aww thank you” Nysaa thanked the cameraman with a smile as she hugged the cameraman.

“I-I don’t like it when people talk about or hurt my friends…” Vinny muttered, it reminded him all too well of Rida and Enji.

“I’m your friend?” Nyssa asked receiving a nod from Vinny, “How long do you think we’re all gonna survive this?” She sighed out.

“Vinny has more things with Rida than he lets on…we talk about this last night, which is why I’m helping you” Tenshi spoke, “He thinks he can find an escape”

“Seriously?” Nyssa asked, “You’ve been here for years Tenshi and haven’t found a way to escape and you’re helping him because he knows somethings about Rida? What do you even know about Rida?” She spoke.

“It’s stupid I know” Tenshi sighed, “But Rida definitely didn’t want me killing him yesterday meaning there’s a chance we can escape this place”

“I’m not that dumb Nyssa” Vinny chuckled out, “And yes I do know some stuff about Rida…he annoyed me outside of this place”

“I understand Nyssa, but I’m only telling you this, because I know you want this just as much” Tenshi sighed out.

“So you in or out?” The cameraman asked her.

“I’m in” Nyssa immediately chuckled out, “Where’s the fun here either way?”

“Alright then! Now we just don’t need to die” Vinny spoke.

“You don’t need to die…Tenshi’s been here for 25 years, he’s the champion in this place” Nyssa laughed out as she leaned back.

“That doesn’t mean I can’t die” Tenshi spoke.

“No one’s dying!” The cameraman spoke up, receiving a laugh from Nyssa. There was this silence for a while before Nyssa looked out at the sky.

“I say we have around 20 minutes till we’re fighting” she spoke.

“What?” Vinny asked as he cocked his head.

“We’re sent back to those cells from yesterday and people are chosen to fight” Tenshi explained, before handing the axe to Nyssa.

“Don’t be afraid to kill” Nyssa spoke to Vinny, “it’s either your life or someone else’s life, so best it be someone else’s life” she sighed out as she took the axe.

“Can I see your hand?” Tenshi asked Vinny, he reluctantly gave him his hand. “I can get rid of the stitches, the wound is closed…how did you even get this?” He spoke.

“Alright?” The cameraman answered, “Someone stabbed me…works with Rida and is quite literally one of my least favourite people, but sometimes my favourite person when I meet someone worse than him” Vinny explained.

“Dagger” Tenshi spoke to the cameraman who handed him the dagger. “That’s strange…what’s this persons’ personality like?” He asked as he took the dagger and began gently slicing the stitches.

“A lot like Tex actually…but Tex is just worse for some reason, don’t like him” Vinny explained.

“So if we get out of here I’m gonna kill him” Nyssa chuckled.

“You remind me of this one friend I have…you would get along with her” The cameraman spoke to Nyssa as he aloud Tenshi to keep slicing the stitches.

“Really? What’s her name?” Nyssa asked, her eyes lighting up happily.

“Willow” Vinny answered with a smile, though he and Nyssa looked confused when they saw Tenshi bristle at the name.

“You ok?” Nysa asked curiously.

“I’m fine” Tenshi bluntly answered as he let go of Vinnys’ hand.

“I’ll go get food” Nyssa spoke as she got up and walked away.

“Your hand should be fine” Tenshi spoke to the cameraman.

“Thanks” Vinny sighed out as he watched Nyssa, quickly come back with three bowls of whatever this food was.

The three ate in silence, there wasn’t much to talk about. Once they finished they talked about random stuff till they all fell throw the ground in into separate cells. “Great…” Vinny grumbled as he stared out the bars of the cell.

He could only wait and see if he was gonna fight. He hoped he didn’t have to fight though, he was tired.

(Had writers block, my neck hurt and I had a migraine again, but it’s good now. I procrastinated in this chapter so fucking much someone help me)

As Vinny finished getting dressed he wondered if Shancai was still awake. He hesitated for a moment before leaving the room and going over to the princes’ room. The cameraman stared at the closed door before taking a deep breathe and gently knocking.

He heard some rustling from inside the room and the door opened, Shancai was awake. “Is something wrong?” The prince questioned, there was no annoyance in his voice.

“Just wanted to check if you were up…” Vinny spoke awkwardly, Shancai nodded in understanding before moving to the side offering Vinny to enter the room, “A-are you sure?” The cameraman questioned, the prince nodded. He didn’t talk much, unlike Willow they were like polar opposites, but they were both likeable.

The cameraman entered the room and looked around, it was more decorated than his room, which made sense he was in a guest room. Vinny noticed that Shancai had a shit ton of hair products, some organised while others just put on the dressing table. The prince pointed for Vinny to sit on the bed, which he did.

“Did you bathe well?” The prince questioned as he went to the dressing table and took off the bonnet, placing it to the side, he made sure to hold up his hair so it doesn’t reach the ground. Vinny pulled out the dagger and began fidgeting with it.

“Yea…it was really relaxing…how about you?” Vinny responded, as he watched the prince start to put other products on his hair, Vinny suspected that Shancai didn’t put them in before, because he had to make sure the cameraman didn’t die in the bathtub.

“It was well…do you like your hair?” Shancai questioned once more, he didn’t seem the best at conversing with others.

“Yep, it’s nice, I was gonna get a haircut later this week…but then I ended up here and it just slipped off my mind…” Vinny chuckled awkwardly, the prince nodded in acknowledgment and continued fixing his hair. “You’re hair’s really nice…” Vinny blurted out without thinking.

Shancai paused for a moment, “Thank you…” he finally spoke up, cussing Vinny to let out a shaky breathe he didn’t even know he was holding.

“Do people normally compliment your looks?” The cameraman hesitantly asked.

“Occasionally…not necessarily my body marks, but mostly my hair and eyes…” Shancai answered.

“R-right…so your body marks…not the vitiligo, the patterned ones…where are they from?” Vinny asked.

“I am…unsure, my mother said I was born with them…I’ve never really…believed it…” Shancai replied, his voice becoming quieter as he looked at his arm covered in those patterned marks.

“Should I not ask these questions? I don’t wanna press on if you’re uncomfortable…” Vinny spoke as he looked at the prince worriedly.

“You are free to do so…it’s not often I’m questioned about myself” Shancai spoke as he looked at Vinny.

“Alright…you don’t have to answer everything if you don’t want to” Vinny spoke before taking a deep breathe, “Was it…hard growing up with those marks? I don’t know much about the kingdom and it’s people…but back in Ninjago people are really judgy…”he asked.

“It was…though I had a friend, he assured me of everything…and he was the closest I’ve ever been with someone I wasn’t related to…. Shancai confessed, the cameraman looked at him curiously.

“What happened?” Vinny asked.

“He…disappeared…” Shancai sighed as his eyes flicked down to the dagger that was in the cameramans’ hand.

“Oh…” Vinny spoke, he was about to say something, but was cut off by the door opening.

“Are you seriously still awake…?” A familiar tired voice spoke as the two turned their attention to the door. Willow…wearing a shirt and shorts as she rubbed her eye from exhaustion.

“Yes I am…” Shancai spoke to Willow who blinked for a couple of seconds before turning to Vinny.

“Are you having a sleepover?” The nature elemental spoke, “I’m hurt I wasn’t invited” she added as he made a dramatic pose, Shancai rubbed his temple while Vinny chuckled.

“We’re not…we were just talking” The cameraman spoke to Willow.

“We should have one, all three of us!” The nature elemental spoke, her exhaustion disappearing.

“I wouldn’t want to intrude and this is your brothers’ room” Vinny spoke, as he looked towards the prince who was putting his hair back in the bonnet.

“It is fine with me…as long as someone actually sleeps” Shancai spoke as he looked towards Willow who smiled sheepishly.

“I’ll sleep I swear!” Willow laughed out as she closed the door.

“Alright then” Vinny spoke as he smiled, Shancai nodded in agreement.

“Shanni! Please I am begging you can we make a blanket fort!” Willow begged her brother.

“Seriously?” Shancai sighed, the nature elemental nodded desperately.

“He wants it” Willow spoke as he pointed to Vinny who was silently laughing at the two siblings.

“Fine fine…” The prince answered, Willow immediately jumped towards the bed and grabbed the pillows and blankets.

“Help me you two” she spoke, the two nodded and did as they were told. Setting the blankets and pillows in ways that made a roof and and soft makeshift floor bed. It took around 10 minutes and then they laid in it.

“I haven’t been able to convince Shancai to do this since we were kids” Willow told Vinny as she relaxed in the blanket fort.

“That’s because it’s childish” Shancai spoke.

“Childish? This will never become childish!” Vinny laughed out, he really enjoyed their company, Willow was the perfect amount of fun and childish while Shancai was the perfect amount of mature and serious.

“See? Even he gets it!” Willow said to her brother who rolled his eyes playfully. “Admit it! You’re having fun!” She begged her brother.

“Alright…” Shancai sighed, “Maybe I am enjoying this a little bit” he added.

“A little bit?” Vinny teased as he laid on his side and stared at Shancai.

“Maybe a lot…” the prince looked at Vinny and corrected himself.

“Yes you are!” Willow laughed before she playfully ruffled her brothers’ hair, only to have her hand knocked away.

“This is the best I’ve felt in a while…” Vinny sighed as he relaxed onto his back.

“With the whole Enji thing?” Willow asked.

“Yea…you two really make me feel better…” the cameraman sighed.

“Well I knocked two birds with one stone!” Willow teased Vinny and Shancai, “You’re both so moody” she laughed.

“Yes yes…” Shancai sighed as he bit back a smile, “Now sleep…mother doesn’t like us staying up” he added.

“Correction…she doesn’t like you staying up” Willow spoke, “Me and Vinny are fine” she added.

“Yea, I slept before” the cameraman teased Shancai.

“Well if we don’t sleep then how would we be able to show Vinny around the kingdom tomorrow” The prince spoke, clearly knowing his sister well. Willow put her hand up to retort, but stayed silent.

“Fine, you win!” She laughed out as she playfully punched her brother.

“Who’s turning off the light…?” Vinny asked.

“Shanni…” Willow instantly spoke, Shancai looked at his sister, before sighing and getting up then turning off the light and laying back down.

“Now we sleep…” Willow yawned as she rolled to her side, the other two nodded and Vinny hugged a spare pillow. “Night everyone…” she added.

“Goodnight…” Shancai spoke in response.

“Night…” the cameraman yawned in response.

Silence filled the room, it was a comforting silence…the sound of the wind gently howling from outside as it entered the room and gently hit against their bodies. Willow was first to fall asleep her soft breathing, then it was Vinny and finally Shancai…

Vinny liked this…he liked this kingdom…he liked everyone he’s met here…they make him feel safe…

They all walked through the forest, Vinny avoiding eye contact with everyone. The guilt he felt knowing he was the reason they were all was overbearing, to him he deserved whatever happened to his arm.

Kai seemed to notice the cameraman who was trapped in thought and walked next to him, wrapping an arm around his shoulder. “You look blue buddy, what’s on your mind?” He questioned.

“Of course he’s upset Kai, his arm’s probably broken” Jay spoke, as he rolled his eyes.

“Shut up Jay” The fire ninja replied bluntly. It was a normal response to Jay, he would randomly tell Jay to shut up even when he wasn’t talking.

“Enough you two” Nya sighed as she watched her lover and brother squabble like toddlers.

“Alright alright…back to the questions, is anything on your mind?” Kai as Vinny who was looking away, avoiding eye contact.

“I…not really…just worried about the others…” Vinny spoke timidly as he looked at the ground, it wasn’t really a lie, he was concerned for the others, but he was mad at himself for being an idiot.

“They’re strong, if we managed to be safe this long, they’ll be perfectly fine” Lloyd spoke, “They have most of the brains of our group, other than Nya” he added, causing the water ninja to smile at the compliment.

“We can be smart” Cole spoke, Jay and Kai nodded in agreement.

“Sure you can” Nya spoke sarcastically as she rolled his eyes, causing Vinny to chuckle softly.

“When we get back we’re playing video games…” Jay spoke.

“Definitely” Cole and Kai spoke in unison.

“I still need to reorganise my side of the room” Nya groaned, causing Jay to snicker.

“Should’ve got it done when I did” The lightning ninja teased, receiving a glare from Nya.

“I swear whoever that guy from yesterday was in already a p-“ Kai was cut off as a spear flew by his face, narrowly missing him.

“What the…?” Vinny muttered as he and the others turned around to the spear which was lodged in a tree. Before they could say anything, there was two bangs on the ground that sounded like metal, and the spear exploded.

The cameraman stumbled back and fell onto the ground, his dagger falling out of his pocket, down next to him. The others managed to stay standing. Lloyd crouched near Vinny, holding his arm to help him stand up.

“Who’s there!?” Cole shouted as he banged his fists together, triggering his earth punch. Kai formed a fireball while Jay and Nya pulled out their swords.

As Lloyd began helping Vinny up, he was cut off by a harsh kick to his chest as he was knocked back into Nya, she thankfully caught him and lessened the impact. The cameraman stared back at Lloyd worriedly, but was given a thumbs up from in for comfort.

Vinny looked back in front of him, he took a sharp breathe as he felt cold metal pressed against his neck. It was a spear, which led up to a man…a cold, emotionless expression on his face…

The man was intimidating…black scleras with silver irises that pierced anyones soul just by looking at him, in this case…Vinnys’ soul…scars across his face…not as much as Rida though…a yin sign on his left cheek,…two different skin tones…vitiligo…as well as floor long, fluffy black hair that was tied up in a single bubble braid.

He wore balloon harem pants, with a short waist cloth, armour that looked like it weighed a ton, hardly any of his body shown other than his face. His armour had a flower like insignia which no doubt held some meaning. The spear had some gems scattered across it’s handle as well as the armour. His appearance was interesting…his most striking features, his hair, eyes and vitiligo…

Vinnys’ trembled as the blade of the spear was kept against his neck, he gulped, his adam apple bobbing as he done so. He noticed the mans’ eyes flick down to the dagger which was laid across the ground, a flick of recognition was no doubt in the mans’ expression, before his expression darkened.

“Where’s the dagger from?” The man spoke, it wasn’t a choice to answer he had to. The ninja watched from behind, Nya working up the courage to walk over and crouch next to Vinny knocking the mans’ spear away from his neck.

“He doesn’t have to answer you” the water ninja hissed as she grabbed the dagger from the ground and gave it to Vinny.

“N-Nya it’s fine, honestly…” the cameraman replied a little touched at the care from Nya, considering they’ve only been close friends for a few days, “I-I brought it from somewhere…” Vinny replied to the mans’ question, it was a lie, but it was what everyone believed.

The mans’ eyes sharpened as he grabbed Vinny by the collar of his shirt and pulled him up, “Lying won’t do you any good” He spoke, his voice hid no malice, no threats…no emotion and neither did his expression.

“What would you know?” Kai hissed from the back, clearly ready to fight whenever anything bad happened, the man just ignored Kai.

“I-I’m not lying…” Vinny spoke, his voice was shaking, did the man know Rida and Enji? Did he work with them? Was all that was going through his mind, he couldn’t deal with another like Enji. He looked up at the man, his expression begging for him to stop with the questions, he didn’t want the others finding out he lied.

The mans’ monotone expression faded for a second into realisation, before he sighed and let go of Vinny, and backing away. When this happened the others immediately bunched together. The cameraman let out a shaky breathe one he didn’t know he was holding once he was let go.

“Who are you?” Lloyd questioned,

“Shancai, prince and sworn protector of the Ivory Kingdom” the man spoke before he helped Vinny get up from the ground.

“Hah…that’s nice, but why’d you feel the need to attack us!?” Jay questioned, his rage not well hidden.

“You aren’t from here, technically trespassers” the man spoke bluntly, as he closed his hand around the spear and it disappeared into thin air.

“Ok cool, so where are we?” Kai questioned, as he rubbed his temples.

“As of now, Ivory Kingdom, if you were further into the forest would be the Grove where my sister protects” Shancai spoke as he dragged Vinny to follow him, making sure not to hurt his arm.

“Where are you taking us?” Lloyd asked.

“My mother, she can most likely take you back to wherever you’re from” Shancai replied as he continued walking, he kept Vinny close, glancing at him every now and then, the cameraman stuffed the dagger into his pocket.

“You’re helping us?” Cole asked.

“For now…if I find out you’ve caused trouble in your time of being here I won’t hesitate to change my mind” Shancai replied, as he gave the others a glare.

They continued walking, “I expect a truthful answer when we’re alone…” Shancai whispered quietly to Vinny causing him to take a sharp breathe and nod slightly.

This man definitely knew who Enji and Rida were…Vinny could only hope this man wasn’t working with them…

(I UNDERSTAND VINNY AND SHANCAI HAD A ROUGH MEETING BUT TRUST ME!!! IT WILL GET BETTER IT WILL GET BETTER!!! Also I love Shancai more than all my ocs…he’s so pretty🥺)

Vinnys’ eyes widened as he saw Rida, he hadn’t expected this and reluctantly let go. He wasn’t aware of what Rida was capable of and didn’t want to know either and he also didn’t trust him. “Why so tense?” Rida spoke, the cameraman could practically feel the smile forming behind his mask.

“No reason…” Vinny muttered as he put the dagger back in his pocket and stared at Ridas’ now, slightly cut arm. He turned around, facing his back to the taller man.

“Now now then, that’s not how you treat friends” Rida chuckled as he took off his Phoenix mask and placed it to the side.

“We’re not friends…” the cameraman’ grumbled as he sat on his bed and avoided staring at Ridas’ face, he was intimidating. Those bright orange eyes would burn holes into Vinnys’ head.

“We’re not?” Rida asked with feigned curiosity as he turned his head to the side. “I heard about your little run in with Rushifa, fun was it?” He chuckled, the cameraman felt sick at the thought.

“Why are you here?” Vinny suddenly asked, he was curious. Rida was an enemy of the kingdom and a pretty well known one so he definitely wasn’t up to any good. “Wasn’t sending Enji here enough?”

“I wish it was” Rida groaned as he rubbed his temples, “However he won’t tell me anything, in hopes of protecting the prince…quite pathetic if you ask me, but he does most of what I tell him” he confessed with a smile.

“So Enji really does care about Shanni? Or Rida’s fucking with me…” Vinny thought to himself.

“Now then, how have you been?” Rida questioned as he began looking around the room.

“Fine I guess…” The cameraman muttered, he didn’t want to talk to him, he didn’t trust him at all. “And answer me, why are you here?” He repeated in a more assertive tone.

“Trying to control the situation doesn’t suit you” Rida spoke as he touched the bandage on Vinnys’ arm from the day before. “Who did this?”

“You’re smart, figure it out yourself” the cameraman hissed as he pulled his arm away, Enji definitely kept secrets.

“Ah…so he came here yesterday as well?” Rida chuckled to himself.

“Answer me now” Vinny repeated for the third time, “You shouldn’t even be here, you’re not allowed in the kingdom, you’re sure as hell lucky I haven’t ran out” he added as he began fidgeting with the dagger.

“Just taking a look and making sure everything’s in check” Rida answered as he pressed his finger against the cameramans’ cheek, digging his nail in.

“The other day…when you said Enji was getting something that was rightfully yours, it was that chest right?” Vinny asked as he harshly grabbed Ridas’ wrist and pulled it away from his face.

“Enji was right…you have become more short-tempered” Rida chuckled, the cameraman looked at him in annoyance still waiting for an answer. “Yes yes, it was that chest” Rida sighed out as he rolled his eyes.

“Are you even royalty?” Vinny questioned as he cocked his head.

“Wouldn’t you like to know” Rida teased as he pulled his wrist back, “I take it that insufferable woman told you about this?” He hissed, clearly annoyed when talking about what was most definitely Deify. It reminded the cameraman of how Rushifa spoke of Willow.

“Yes she did and she’s not insufferable” Vinny scowled at him, he didn’t like someone badmouthing Deity, she was sweet.

“She’s trapped you in her lies as well?” Rida questioned, laughter threatening to exit his mouth.

“Lies?” The cameraman asked, he knew Deity had some secrets, but she definitely didn’t hide anything that would be too serious. He couldn’t blame her for having her own secrets.

“Oh you silly silly person” Rida spoke with feigned empathy as he bent over to Vinnys’ height and cupped his cheek. “You couldn’t possibly trust this kingdom more than me?”

“I can and I will” the cameraman answered with a hiss, “Since you and Enji showed up my life has been hell!” He hissed as he looked up a Rida, before going quiet as he shivered as if a gust of wind had brushed over him. His eyes had gone dark…with just bright orange eyes no emotion to them.

Vinny had only seen Deity, Shancai and Willow with those eyes, how then? How did Rida have them? And how did he hide them? Maybe he was being delusional maybe Rida was using some magic to fuck with him. The cameraman wanted to say something, but he felt his words get stuck in his throat.

“You have grown quite a tongue” Rida eventually chuckled out, breaking the silence and only seeming to make it more tense. “I suggest you distance yourself from here, would be a shame if something were to happen to this place…”

Vinny didn’t know what to do or say, instead he stared at the ground. He wanted to cry. He didn’t know why. He just always had pent up emotions now, either anger or sadness. “Now now then, tears don’t suit that face of yours” Rida spoke clearly mocking him as he lifted his chin up.

“What the hell do you actually fucking want from me?” The cameraman hissed as his gaze darkened and he gripped Ridas’ hand tightly, catching him off guard.

“You’ll know in due to time” Rida replied as he tried pulling his hand back, only to have Vinny tighten his grip. “Let go” he ordered.

“I want a fucking answer and I want it now” The cameraman threatened.

“Is that a threat?” Rida spoke, as a sadistic smile formed on his face. He was intrigued by this.

“It’s whatever you think it is asshole” Vinny responded as he gripped the dagger with his free hand.

“I don’t respond to threats well, there’s a reason that snake is blind” Rida confessed as he used his free hand to grip the cameramans’ wrist.

“Maybe she’s the reason you’re fucking scarred up eh?” Vinny mocked as his pupils constricted. Saying that seemed to get a rise out of Rida as anger flashed in his eyes before dying down.

“Perhaps I should take you down there? First hand experience as one would say?” Rida replied causing the cameraman to take a shaky breath. “Nothing else to say?” He asked smugly.

“I should fucking slit your tongue, you’re just as much as a snake as he-“ Vinny was just off by being thrown across the room. “F-fuck…” he groaned as he rubbed his back that hit the ground harshly.

“Would you like to repeat that please?” Rida hissed, “The only reason she didn’t tear you limb by limb was, because of me…perhaps I should let her eat you?” He asked.

“Better than seeing your fucking face!” The cameraman scowled back, before groaning as he felt hands wrap around his throat.

“Perhaps I should’ve let Enji kill you, no?” Rida chuckled out though clearly forced. “Or maybe I should let him kill your friends with you watching?”

Vinny growled hearing this before knocking Rida off of him, which took a lot of effort, he’s tall and much stronger. The cameraman grabbed the dagger which was sprawled across the floor and before he could think otherwise he drove the dagger into Ridas’ shoulder, earning a pain cry.

“Why don’t I fucking kill you?” The cameraman threatened as he pulled the dagger out and held it against Ridas’ neck.

“You wouldn’t” Rida painfully chuckled, as blood gushed from his arm.

“How would you know?” Vinny hissed as he threatened to press the dagger in.

“You’re too pathetic, imagine what your friends would say!” Rida answered, “I haven’t done anything too bad so you’re practically killing a man for more than his crime, for yourself!” He cackled out.

The cameramans’ eyes widened as he began to think what the others would say. Rida was right…this was wrong, he shouldn’t do this. But he deserved right? While Vinny was distracted by his thoughts Rida knocked him off of him and onto the ground.

“Try not to lose your sanity, this is beginning to get fun” Rida chuckled as he stood up, ignoring his arm which was profusely bleeding as he grabbed his Phoenix mask and put it on.

“Go fuck yourself” Vinny hissed, it was the first thing and the only thing he could say at the moment. His hands were covered in blood as he wiped his face accidentally rubbing it on his face.

“Also…I haven’t done anything bad yet, that is” Rida chuckled before another gush of wind brushed over Vinny as he shut his eyes before opening them and realising Rida was gone…The cameraman sat on the ground, not knowing what to do, or well…he couldn’t really move, his body felt numb.

“I’m really fucking crazy” Vinny eventually laughed to himself as he held the dagger tightly before wiping the blood off with his hand. Was all this worth it? He should just tell everyone and be done with it. “I’m not fucking short-tempered…” he grumbled to himself, he didn’t want to believe it, but he knew he’s slowly became more agitated.

The cameraman was cut off by a knock on the door. “Who is it?!” Vinny shouted out, presuming it was Shancai.

“Me” just as the cameraman expected it was the prince, Vinny sat there for a moment, he was covered in a blood and shirtless, but he couldn’t careless.

“Come in! Door should be unlocked” The cameraman called out, he ad forgotten to lock the door due to the events from before. The door opened with a creek as Vinny saw the prince stand there for a moment after he turned on the lights, he looked worried and was holding some clothes, clearly this old ones.

“What happened?” Shancai immediately asked as he put the clothes on the bed and rushed to crouch down next to the cameraman. “Are you hurt? Is it from your shoulder?”

“I’m fine, don’t worry” Vinny chuckled out, “Not my blood”

“That does not lessen my concern” Shancai spoke as he was about to grab the cameramans’ bloody hand.

“Don’t get yourself dirty, you just showered” Vinny spoke as he pulled his arm away.

“Then tell me what happened” the prince repeated.

“Rida came…he was a bit annoying and I may have well…sort of stabbed his shoulder?” The cameraman nervously confessed, causing Shancai to stare at him in surprise.

“Rida was here? What did he want? Are you sure he didn’t hurt you?” The prince questioned once more.

“He just was here like how Enji was…to be an ass” Vinny sighed out, “I sort of threatened him then he brought up he’s the reason Rushifa’s blind so then I asked him if she’s the reason he’s scarred just to mess with him then he threw me on the ground” the cameraman sighed out.

“Oh…oh wow…” Shancai spoke as he looked at Vinny who was chuckling softly. “You should go shower before someone sees you like this…”

“Yea…I was gonna shower, but then he came” The cameraman sighed as he stood up as put the dagger back in the sheath.

“I have to go though…I can get someone to clean your room though”the prince confessed.

“It’s fine, I’ll be with Deity” Vinny answered as he stretched. “And I guess someone cleaning the floor would be nice…I doubt I’ll be able to clean blood properly

“I’ll see you when I get back and I’ll find someone to clean this” Shancai sighed as he stood up, the cameraman nodded as he watched him leave, closing the door. Vinny locked the door and sighed, his life was fucked.

He went into the bathroom and grimaced as he looked at the mirror. His face was body was covered in blood. Who knew stabbing someones’ shoulder this much caused this? Vinny emptied his pockets and swore to himself as he had forgotten he had that photo he found when he was checking that room with Shancai.

As much as he wanted to inspect the photo now, his hands were covered in blood and he didn’t want to ruin it. So he simply put it to the side and glanced at it quickly. Vinnys’ eyes widened.

There were two kids in the photo, one looked like Shancai, but the other wasn’t recognisable, he had short hair, a large smile with a missing tooth as his hand was swung over who Vinny presumed as Shancai.

The cameraman took a deep breath, he can think of this later right now he had to shower. Vinny took off his pants, he had already taken off his shirt before. He entered the shower and turned on the water letting out a sigh of relief as the blood dripped down his body.

Vinny splashed his face with water, he couldn’t imagine how the others would react if they saw him covered in blood like this. And honestly he hated the way it felt on him. It was a quick shower nothing out of the ordinary other than a bunch of scrubbing.

Once he was done he wrapped a towel around his waist and went back into the bedroom, careful to not step on the blood as he began getting dressed. He had decided on wearing one of those old pants Shancai gave him, they were awfully comfy. He also just threw on some random shirt before he rubbed his hair with the towel.

After he finished with that he went back into the bathroom and began cleaning off the bloody dagger and cleaning the floor, it was best to clean as much as he could he didn’t want to annoy the person cleaning the bedroom. Vinny wiped the floor in the bathroom before sighed as he stared at the ground in the bedroom.

As much as he wanted to clean it he was afraid of ruining something so he grabbed the photo from the bathroom and just sat on the bed. The cameraman began to observe the photo, he wanted to know who the other kid in the photo was. Maybe it was Enji? Shancai and Enji used to be friends before…

They looked so…happy together. Shancai had a soft smile on his face while Enji had their cheeks pressed against each other. “What happened…?” Vinny spoke to himself out loud. Maybe he can ask Deity later, for now he was snapped out of his thoughts by a knock on the door. So he quickly got up and opened the door.

A woman stood there, a soft smile on her face with a mop and other. She had a blue and brown eye, with light skin and black hair. “You’re the one with the blood right?” The woman asked softly.

“Uh r-right” Vinny spoke awkwardly, it was a bit embarrassing as he stepped the the side and let her in, she didn’t seem fazed by the blood. “Sorry for the mess…” he apologised as he sat on the bed.

“It’s no issue, the prince is no different from this” she chuckled in response.

“He is?” The cameraman asked.

“Yep, I don’t mind it” she answered.

“Right…” Vinny spoke, there was this awkward silence, they both clearly didn’t like conversations and didn’t want to introduce themselves.

“You can leave if you want” She spoke up, “I enjoy being alone”

“A-are you sure? I feel bad about the mess…” Vinny answered back.

“I’m sure” she chuckled, “You even sound like the prince, don’t worry” she comforted him.

“A-alright” the cameraman sighed, “I’ll be with Deity if you need me just come get me” he reluctantly spoke, as he shoved the dagger and photo in his pocket, she nodded and watched him leave.

Vinny felt a ton of relief now he wasn’t in the room, so he decided to make his way to Deity, he had questions…

Overwhelmed(Vinny x Garmadon Part 5!)

The group of four left the apartment as soon as Vinny packed his things, if he was gonna stay there for a while he’ll need some clothes. Vinny luckily managed to get out of work mainly because Garmadon yelled at the guy on the phone. The only thing Garmadon took was Christofern which pissed off Lloyd.

“So Vinny back to my question” Lloyd said as they started walking to the monastery. Vinny turned red, “What question?” Garmadon asked oblivious as he was asleep when the question was asked. Wu bonked Lloyd on the head with his staff, earning a pained groan. “What was that for?”Lloyd asked and he put his hands on his head. Wu let out a sigh, “Questions such as that are for later not now” Wu responded obviously noticing Vinnys’ face turning a bright red and using his staff to point towards him. It took Lloyd a moment to realise what he meant but when he it was quite obvious, because his eyes widened the he immediately stared towards Vinny and his father.

“I’m still curious what’s the question? Vinny do you know the question?” Garmadon asked turning to Vinny. Wu let out a sigh, “It is best that we continue walking otherwise we’ll be here all day” Wu said. “Y-yea we should get going”Vinny said out in an awkward laughing tone as he tried his best to shake off the question. Sure the two literally confessed their love for each other yesterday he still found it a pretty embarrassing this to talk about especially with 2 people that haven’t got a clue about their relationship.

Garmadon let out a sigh then continued walking along with the other 3. “Brother you and Vinny don’t mind sharing a room as there isn’t that many rooms for the two of you. “I don’t mind it isn’t that much different from the apartment” Garmadon replied. Lloyd stared at his father realising what he meant, “Wait wait wait, you two share a bed??”Lloyd asked he was flabbergasted at the thought of those two sharing a bed. Vinny nodded, “Vinny wouldn’t let me sleep on the couch and I wouldn’t let him sleep on the couch so we both agreed on sharing a bed” Garmadon said.

“Well that is quite a shock to hear that you would share a bed” Wu said as they all kept walking. “Honestly I had to sew 2 blankets together just so he could have his entire body covered” Vinny chuckled out. Garmadon stared at Vinny before saying, “I did not tell you to do that you did just did that out of kindness”.

“Here we are” Lloyd said out in a sigh of relief glad to be home. Vinny looked up at the stairs, “I’m not walking up all that..”Vinny said.“That’s why we installed an elevator” Lloyd said as he went towards the elevator. Vinny let out a sigh of relief and went in the elevator along with the others.

“Brother you should try your best to teach Lloyd properly and Lloyd will listen”Wu said he didn’t want a repeat of last time.”Very well I’ll try as long as Lloyd listens” Garmadon responded. It took a few minutes to reach the top of the monastery but finally they made it up. “Lloyd go tell the others that these two are staying with us I’ll take them to their room” Wu said as to which Lloyd obeyed.

Wu led the two towards their room and opened the door, the wall and a bit of a space theme there was small stars on the wall painted, there was two closets, a draw, a desk with a chair, a bedside table and there was a king sized bed(they deserve the best)which Vinny immediately jumped on, they took their shoes off outside. “I love this bed” Vinny giggled out loudly as he snuggled into the bed. Garmadon stared at Vinny and a small smile appeared on his face along with his cheeks having being covered with blush, Wu noticed this and smirked.

“Brother may I speak with you for a moment while Vinny unpacks?” Wu asked, Vinny nod nodded as he signalled his lover to place Christofern on the table next to him which the he obviously listened. Vinny gave Garmadon a thumbs up as he left the room closing the door. “What did you want to tell me?” Garmadon asked his brother. Wu walked a little bit far from the room, his brother following, as he didn’t want Vinny to hear him. “What do you think of Vinny?”Wu asked it was just like Lloyd said but with more meaning Lloyd wanted to know if Vinny thought Garmadon was a monster while Wu wanted to know if he actually liked Vinny.

Garmadons’ face lit up with bright purple blush but he attempted to hide it, “I don’t understand” Garmadon asked trying his best to act oblivious, “I’ve seen the way you look at him brother you were smiling before that is something I’ve barely seen you do”Wu replied. There was no answer what was he meant to say to his brother just fully on tell him the events of yesterday?Hell no he wasn’t going to do that, Wu would never stop bettering him about it.

“It’s alright if you do not feel like telling me, but you can always ask for help”Wu said as he left his brother be. Garmadon let out a sigh, “Is it really that obvious?”He thought to himself before going back to his room where Vinny was laying on the bed waiting for him. “Hey Garm! Isn’t this place great, I mean look at how big this bed is it’s bigger than me?” Vinny said out happily as he did a star pose showing how his limbs didn’t even reach the corners. Garmadon let out a chuckle before he kneeled down and gently kissed Vinnys’ head. This sudden affection made Vinny turn a bright red as he rolled over onto his stomach and shoved his face into the bed.

“Is there a training grounds here?” Nya asked, Shancai nodded in response.

“We could use some training…fighting against someone we don’t know due to our new threat” Lloyd spoke.

“New threat?” Willow muttered to Vinny.

“Enji…” The cameraman whispered back, Willow made a ‘oh’ sign with her mouth and nodded.

“How about we finish eating then we can go?” Wu asked, receiving nods from the others.

“Where’s your mother?” Jay blurted out to Willow and Shancai, they both shrugged.

“I saw her earlier…but she was busy with something…” the nature elemental spoke, Vinny and Shancai exchange worried looks, wondering what was up with Deity.

They all finished eating and began making their way to the training grounds. When they went by Deitys’ room Vinny paused, he wanted to see her. “Everything alright?” Kai asked the cameraman noticing he stopped walking.

“Uh…yea, go on without me I’ll catch up, just gotta do something” Vinny answered receiving nods from the others as they began walking again, Willow and Shancai staring as him curiously, Vinny pointed to Deitys’ door and they both realised what he was doing and nodded, then walked off.

Once he was alone, he worked up the courage to gently knock on the closed door. He didn’t hear anything and waited a bit more, thankfully the door was opened and Deity stood there. She looked overworked…was that chest Enji took worrying her that much?

“Morning dear…” Deity spoke softly as she gave him a small smile, it was obviously forced and didn’t carry the same comfort of one true smile.

“Morning…” Vinny replied, “Sorry…for bothering you, I just wanted to check on you” he added, Deitys’ expression softened hearing that.

“I’m well dear, did you rest well?” She questioned.

“Yea…I wanted to thank you too, talking to you helped…” Vinny spoke to her, when he spoke to her, he felt like the weight of the world was lifted off his shoulders.

“It’s no problem dear…talking to you helped me as well” She answered, “Is everyone awake?” She added.

“Yep, we were going to the training grounds, Willow suggested Shancai spar with the others and he took up on the idea” Vinny replied.

“That’s good…” she sighed, “I checked up on you early this morning…you weren’t in your room, but then I went to Shancais’…I was surprised seeing you all bunched up together…” she chuckled.

“I wasn’t planning on it…me and him were up and we must’ve woke Willow up, but she came in and suggested a sleepover…it was really nice” Vinny answered, his expression softened at the thought.

“I also happened to check again and find Willow purring makeup on you two” Deity teased, causing Vinny to blush.

“Y-yea she did…but it was funny…” Vinny spoke through embarrassment.

“Best you be off, before you lose your way” she teased.

“R-right!” The cameraman laughed out as he looked back in the hallway, “I’ll see you later” he added, Deity waved goodbye and watched Vinny run off into the hallway and try to catch up with the others.

Vinny was out of breath as he finally made it back to the others, “Look who decided to grace up with his presence” Kai teased as he allowed Vinny to lean against him and catch his breath. Garmadon looked at the cameraman and sighed, he wanted to talk…but how…?

“Those…” Vinny panted as he pointed to the halls, “Are some long ass hallways” he breathed heavily.

“That’s why you walk in them” Shancai spoke as he summoned his spear and gently bonked Vinnys’ head.

“I had to catch up!” The cameraman answered, “And I was not going to talk to someone to find you all!” He added.

“Idiot” Nya teased, as they all exited the palace into a large area.

“Here we are!” Willow spoke joyfully as she pointed to the area, it had archery targets, hay targets and all types of training equipment.

“Sometimes I forget we’re in a huge kingdom…” Cole spoke as he stared into the large area. They went down the stairs and designated one area to their training.

“Shall we warm up?” Zane questioned.

“Stretch” Shancai spoke, “You two may not pull a muscle” he pointed to Zane and Pixal “but they will” he added as he pointed to the rest who are not nindroids. “You’re not fighting I take it?” He asked Vinny.

“I would pull a muscle with or without stretching” Vinny chuckled, and sat down where Shancai pointed. Wu and Garmadon sat on the side.

“Shanni! Take off your armour, you’re sparring!” Willow begged her brother, Shancai rolled his eyes, before taking off his top armour piece, he was wearing a black compression shirt underneath. Goddamn did he have muscles.

“I do not want to fight him…” Jay muttered to Kai and Cole.

“Agreed…” Kai and Cole spoke in agreement, Shancai rested his armour piece next to Vinny, who just stared at it and tried poking it…never again…that’s heavy…

“How about we just do weapons first?! Then we can have on with you all using your powers!” Vinny suggested.

“That’s wise” Zane spoke.

“Very well” Shancai answered as his eyes scanned his spear for any damages, the other ninja nodded in agreement.

As the ninja finished stretching and warming up, they debated who was sparring Shancai first, “I say Jay goes first” Kai suggested.

“W-what why me?!” Jay answered, clearly offended.

“Cause if you can beat him we can” Cole teased, he was just playing along with Kais’ teases.

“He won’t kill you!” Willow called out from next to Vinny in an attempt to comfort them, “Not sure about hurting though!” She added, she wanted to mess with them.

“He’ll hurt them?” Vinny asked her.

“Nah, I’m just messin’ with em’”Willow answered, causing the cameraman to snicker. “How about you all go at it?!” She called out.

“What?” Lloyd asked curiously.

“You all attack him with weapons!” She answered.

“A-are you sure? Maybe that’s too much” Nya questioned.

“What’s that meant to mean?” Shancai questioned, to him it sounded like he was being underestimated.

“N-nothing!” Nya spoke immediately.

“Sure…we can do it…?” Lloyd replied, causing Willow to smile happily.

“You sure this is good?” Vinny asked.

“I know my brother and his limits…and he knows them too” Willow replied to Vinny.

They all positioned themselves, Shancai in the middle surrounded by the others, Vinny, Willow, Garmadon and Pixal all sitting out. Kai attacked first, lunging forward with a sword, the prince dodged with ease, moving with grace. He used the blunt end of his spear to knock the others away.

As Jay attacked with nunchucks Shancai used the spear head to lodge it in the chains of the nunchucks and pull it out of Jays’ hands throwing it to the side. “Cocky” the prince spoke as Kai attacked again, “Slow” he spoke to Cole, who was using a scythe, “Aggressive” he said to Nya, who growled at him.

“I’ll show you aggressive…” Nya grumbled, Cole managed to grab Shancai from behind using the spear to keep his arms back, while Lloyd put a sword to his neck, they seemed to have let their guard down slightly.

Shancai jumped off the ground and used Zanes’ chest for power as he knocked off it, freeing his arms from Coles’ grip and landing behind him, “Save your celebrations till after all escapes are blocked” the prince spoke as he knocked Jay to the ground and held the spear to his throat.

“Geez okay!” Jay spoke with fear, he didn’t like this, Shancai sighed and got up.

“You put too much power in your hits and that slows you down” Shancai spoke as he pointed to Cole, “Too confident in yourself…you don’t know your limits” points to Kai.

“He didn’t kill them…but he killed something” Vinny muttered to Willow who laughed.

As Shancai began helping better their techniques Wu got up and began helping as well, they did get along quite well. Pixal joined Zane in seeing how she can better her techniques.

Vinnys’ mind and body worked in auto pilot as it just walked back inside the palace. Nya, Wu, and Lloyd noticed this and turned their attention to Garmadon, who was looking at the ground rubbing his temples and stroking a hand through his hand.

Vinny just kept walking and walking…where was he going…? No idea…did he want to know? No…all he knew was that his life just collapsed in the span of 3 minutes…
