BBEG ideas!

I am hosting an Avengers (Specifically 2012 to the endgame saga) inspired campaign and would like help to brainstorm a BBEG. (Big Bad Evil Guy)

Now, the concept of this "BBEG" is that there are two "entities" who like to play games every three centuries. (Think of the La Muerte and Xibalba from Book of Life.) They decided to create another game, manipulate the chessboard into forming two groups (Stonebound and Driftfall) into fighting a threat they created.

Now, in order for that to happen, they used Lady Lilac (Empress of Romfell) as the nick fury of the situation. gathering two unlikely groups that will soon merge into one to handle a big threat.

I have no idea what the threat will be and that's why i need your guys help if you'd please. I can't give you guys my world building unless its in DMS due to how long it is. but i can tell you that these deities aren't gods or from other universes, they just... exist. I have gods and Primordials, i just have no origin for these game chasing individuals who by the way will be showing up in the two campaigns. (Not at the same time, one appears in one group and the other goes to the other)
