Heyo! (I didn't know there was a ninjango fandom??) I'd like to ask: Because you're also a fan, do you accept fan made stuff for Spiderman/Peter Parker? I have a little song that I made for him, kinda based on Tony's/Dad's perspective. Would it be okay if I could share it to your blog or tag you in it, please? ^_^

Didyou mean Ninjago? But yeah of course please do! Tag me and I’ll take a listen and share!

A while ago, some people asked me to explain D&D and other RPGs… so of course I had to make it into an infographic!

This is by no means a comprehensive guide. The game can be as simple or complex as you want, but there ARE some pre-established basics you should know about - and those are best discovered on your own terms!

Some resources to help you get started:Ā

Watch/listen:

ā˜… Rusty Quill Gaming PodcastĀ - a ttrpg game in the Pathfinder system. Beginner friendly! Learn how to play along with the players!

ā˜…Ā Critical Role - a D&D game played by voice actors - Incredibly famous! Highly praised! Both videos and podcasts available.

ā˜…Ā The Adventure Zone - a TTRPG podcast by the MdElroy brothers

Read/learn the rules:

šŸ“š D&D 5e Player’s HandbookĀ - pdf

šŸ“šĀ Basic Introduction to Character RacesĀ - website

šŸ“šĀ Overview of Character Classes - website

How-to and Tutorials:

šŸŽ² Rolling a character - YouTube video

šŸŽ² How combat worksĀ - YouTube video

šŸŽ² Being a good player - YouTube video

And last but not least…

How To Play D&D Online! - YouTube Video

***

Of course, there are tons of other resources - endless writeups, dozens of YouTube videos and blogposts, and entire subreddits dedicated to this information. The important thing is to take things one at a time. Or not - just dive right in! Most seasoned D&D players are thrilled when others want to join them on their adventures and will be happy to help a new player find their tabletop legs.Ā

Writing x Characters When You Aren’t x, A Masterlist

x: a variable used to represent something unknown.

We’ve seen an influx of questions about how to write stories based around characters of color, disability, non-binary, etc. when the author does not fall into these categories. Rather than have these posts take over the site, we’ve decided to compile a list of resources to help our fellow writers become more educated about writing what they do not immediately know. However, this list is not the end-all-be-all of knowledge; one should always try to learn from someone with first hand experience in any topic. The world is constantly growing and changing, and because of that, there will always be more to learn. The admins at Plotline Hotline want to help writers form respectful, informed, and realistic characters that broaden the narrow range we see in literature today.Ā

*Be wary that some of the topics listed below contain sensitive material. Reader discretion is advised.*Ā

As always, the links I found to be especially apt will be in bold. Topics are listed alphabetically, excepting theĀ ā€œotherā€ section.
