OK. Now you made me need a ‘Covenant Breaking’ section in all lingerie departments. Just next to ‘Mix and Match’.
(🔊 on) A Discovery of Witches Real Time Read Ch17
"I want to take you home."
Matthew wants to take Diana to Sept Tours so he can protect her.
This is my favourite scene in the whole show, their coming together and leaving Oxford to meet their future. It's so unbelievably romantic and swoony and exciting, it gives me all the feels 💓💓💓
And the way Matthew looks at Diana 💓🫠

Yep, Lazar. Still. 🧛✍️❤️
Lazaar’s Backstory
Don’t mind me - just over here daydreaming about Lazaar’s backstory. Again. I blame @asgoodeasgold for this particular version: she posted a fab interview of about MG’s Wickham and I went down an Abigail x Death Comes to Pemberley rabbit hole 🐇.
Who knows why.
📷 Silly photo mashup above made from screenshots of Death Comes to Pemberley (still currently available on Netflix - hurrah!) and MG’s interview with PBS on YouTube (thanks @asgoodeasgold for posting): https://youtu.be/AWZn_0FGSMg?si=8N8uTs5Jc78G4UIo 📷
Chapter 21 of the Visitor explains how Lazaar might have ended up at the gallows. It’s historically inaccurate and completely implausible, but it’s just for fun. Thank good(e)ness.

Can’t get enough of the Department Q books. Normally this genre isn’t my thing (too much of a scaredy cat) but the link with MG was too tempting and now I’m hooked. Difficult, awful subject matter but Carl Mørck is such a comedic and compelling character that I can’t help but read on. Great writing and translating, in my opinion.
I’m currently on Book 3. Made myself a silly bookmark; I know MG’s photo isn’t right AT ALL (from the glimpses we’ve had of filming) but hopefully there’ll soon be some promos from the show and I can make a better one🤞

Hurry up, Netflix. Please give us a peek of him!
Procreate sketch ✏️ based on fabulous 📷 shared on facebook by David A Calder - Department Q shoot on Portobello Beach
Inspired by some of the amazing Good Omens fan art out there, I experimented with a different style and a new (MaxPacks) brush set in Procreate. This sketch is intended to capture loving a vampire - not knowing if he’s going to bite you or kiss you… and feeling happy either way 😜 Still not over Lazaar and Joey, evidently 😂
Added some yellow options especially for @asgoodeasgold because she LOVES a yellow filter 😜😬🙃

(Completely Unofficial) Morck Merch. We need some.
And I’ve never loved a vampire before… so that’s a coincidence. 🤔🫠
Love this post ❤️
"I have never played a vampire before."
Matthew goes on talking about Dracula, the most famous vamp.
Exhibit A:
Exhibit B:
Fast forward a few years, Matthew has portrayed not one but two vampires, one of which is the iconic Count Dracula in Abigail! Never say never 😁

According to Jonathan, Drac’s creeping around. But someone needs to go to Asda… 🧛
Yes to absolutely all of these ideas. Especially Lazaar v Frank, which I also often have on the brain 👌 That would be a whoooole lot of fun 🫠
Whose your favorite Comfort character in Abigail? And why?
Joey! I just love that she’s so smart (and bloomin’ beautiful) and skilled and funny but also flawed. I find her relationship with Abigail fascinating and confusing and can never 100% work it out. I’m always pondering the fact she was spared by both Abigail and Lazaar. What weird vampire code of conduct is this?! I love her final WTF line in the film and the way Melissa Barrera delivers it and I think about that a lot. I wonder what on earth she did next after driving away (and will always hope there’s a sequel and she’s a vampire). And - of course - I love the idea of Lazaar falling for Joey… even though that doesn’t actually happen in the film (it really does in my mind 😂). She’s a comfort character for me because there are so many things to wonder about her and I think Melissa Barrera absolutely smashed her portrayal. Soooo, not a very original answer from me, I’m afraid. How about you?
