I want to hear your stories about the first time you shifted, where did you shift to? What was your first thought when you realized you shifted? What was the first thing you did?
I would love to hear your experiences :D
I want you all to know that a family member brought up something about swarms and I literally paused for a good few seconds before it clicked that they were talking about a wasps nest they saw.
Tma has ruined my brain. I see a worm? Jane Prentiss. tape recorder? Tma. Archives? You mean the Magnus institute, London??
Even just the colour green. Istg. I just can't be normal now.
Boys. Been thinking about them a lot, y’know?
i hear your “slow progress is still progress” and raise you “sometimes you will find yourself making no progress and that is okay”
we’re human and we’re not always going to be progressing every minute of our lives, and sometimes we need extra help to get to where we want to be and there’s nothing wrong with that
guys is it normal to look at yourself in the mirror and be unable to recognize that it’s you?? realizing that this reflection is what other people see? and how you envision yourself is so far off from the truth you feel this weird emotion I cannot describe?
uhhh yeah I think I got to go to bed

The urge to create comic was strong, but after this I don’t think I can lol
took me like an hour to finish just this 💀 my ADHD ass can’t do all that
stupid ramblings below if you wanna know more about the idea
basically, imagine if ants learned how to create an actual society and all that, that’s pretty cool right? so the premise of this comic is these two ants (the ones in the red and purple stall) get lost outside of the ant nest and have to learn how to fend for themselves in the wild, but it’s tricky cuz ants need to be together in colonies or else they DIE. Then there’s this whole other plot about the queen of the ant-hill is secretly an imposter and there’s a whole silly little ant resistance. uhhh idk, and also the ants are all named after each accessory they have (for example the one wearing a bib would be called bib and etc.)(the main characters are scarf and bandana lol). ALSO ALSO, some of them have four arms and some of them have two, it’s kinda random haha.
If you actually read all that THANK YOU!!!! SO MUCH!!!!!!!!

HOW DO YOU DO THAT?? DRAW SO GOOD!! TELL ME SECRETS PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
OMG OFCCC!!! Id love to tell my little secrets ^^/silly
Number 1 is how I use color theory to choose colors. Color theory can be intimidating at first but it can be boiled down to thinking of what color is opposite of insert color or what insert color is next to insert color on the color wheel. Ofc color theory can get more complicated but when you’re starting out I suggest just sticking to the basic. Also a huge thing is make sure you never just drag the color on the color wheel directly down or up when choosing a color to shade with as it ends up with your whole piece looking dull.
I do suggest watching this video it’s quite helpful and I managed to understand it which I normally dont when it comes to tutorials 😭
Number 2 is how I practice, for anatomy I draw gesture poses in a limited time frame. It can also help to watch tutorials or trace shapes over the human structure to understand it. Anatomy isn’t exactly my specialty but id say its not too bad. :]
Number 3 is texture. Texture is super important as it enhances your art. Ofc texture is no requirement it’s just something to spice up the artwork. Heres a few examples of texture. In these im using a rake brush/hair brush and a dot texture brush. And you can definitely find these on almost every art app if you look hard enough but i use cps.
Number 4 is overlay layers. Adding a simple gradient and setting the layer to an overlay, hard light, etc can help convey the mood and colors you want to achieve in the artwork. I also suggest using glow dodge, add, or add glow layers for lighting layers. Soft light or hard light can also work depending on what type of light you’re going for. Trust me their what absolutely carries my artwork.
Hope this helped!!! I love giving out tips so feel free to ask for more :3
I’ve been meaning to post this for sometime now since i have another orb art in the works, i was planning on posting them (the artworks) same day but i have the tendency to make ppl impatient with me- so uh, yeah i got scared that u might get impatient basically
(there was supposed to be an imaginary 4 day deadline once I started the 2nd orb art but my exams rolled around and I couldn’t finish it in 4 days)
(I also made a 2nd one because i hated how this one looked)
