Dpxdc Prompt #47
When Danny Fenton moved to Gotham for university the city noticed.
After all, before Lady Gotham was Gotham she was Samantha Manson.
It all started with the Nasty Burger explosion.
Mr. Lancer, Mrs. and Mr. Fenton, Jazz, Danny, Tucker, and Sam were all there. One moment, Danny was being confronted about cheating on his career aptitude test and the next all Sam could see was the familiar toxic green of the Ghost Zone.
Sam's first thought was did anyone survive? and her second was i need to find Danny.
She wasn't sure of the fate of anyone caught in the explosion, for all she knew she could've been the only one to die (unlikely), and if not that the only one to form into a ghost (sadly, plausible).
With worst case scenarios flooding her head, Sam began looking for anything familiar in the Zone. She'd never been without the infi-map before and now that she didn't have it she was lost.
She never had a chance of finding Danny because she fell into a portal after she'd barely begun searching.
When Sam became aware again, she found herself in a world similar to her home, but very different at the same time.
The times were different, this world barely in the 1700s. She was in a different location, somewhere in the northeast, but she couldn't tell exactly where yet. And most importantly, the world seemed more magical than the one she came from.
Of course, she tried to get home, but there were no natural portals opening up and no matter how hard she tried she couldn't make them herself.
After spending 20 years, more time than she had lived in her home dimension, in what had come to be named Gotham, Sam had settled down. She made friends with a family named the Waynes and though she would never forget Danny and Tucker she had an afterlife in this new dimension now too.
Sam protected the city best she could from anything that tried to harm it, making it her own haunt. Eventually the people around town started calling her The Lady of Gotham, later shortened to just Lady Gotham.
A century after joining the world, Sam was cursed and by extension Gotham was cursed too. She could no longer speak, and while she still tried her best to protect the city from outside harm there was nothing she could do about the corruption within.
She watched over the Waynes inside the limits of her haunt, them having become her family in this new world. And in return the Waynes tried to keep Gotham the best place it could be, attempting to keep it from becoming a cesspool.
Sam did her best, she did what she could and in return Gothamites had a certain pride in their city.
"It's terrible, but it's home" was the general sentiment shared by the citizens.
Soon enough the times were approaching to when she had been alive, and a new generation of Waynes emerged in her streets. When she failed to protect Martha and Thomas, Sam felt sorrow and let the shadows gather around Bruce to show him she was grieving too.
He left, but as many Gothamites did he came back. And when he came back it was with vengeance.
Her streets were more corrupt than they had ever been before, but Bruce came in like a knight in shining armor. No—not shining, but dark. Dark and jagged, but home and just as much a part of Gotham as Sam herself.
With Bruce becoming Batman, his partners weren't far behind. First Dick, then Babs, Jason, Tim, Steph, Cass, Damian, and Duke. And with so many Waynes, not in blood but in everything that mattered, trying to save her Sam felt more loved than ever before.
And then she felt a Danny Fenton, older than her's had ever gotten to be at 18-years-old, enter the streets. Sam, for the first time in forever, she longed for what could have been.
That night, the skies were clearer and the streets were quieter as Sam held on to Danny through the shadows and didn't let go.
Her knights wouldn't mind one more addition, she hoped.

Amnesia AU
Part 3
Danny: Ugh, they're back again
Jazz: Don't make that face at paying customers. Do you want to make a portal back home?
Danny rolling his eyes: Yes
Jazz: Then we need to get enough money to buy the parts. If that means waiting tables at a barely legal dinner, where idiots hit on us, then we wait those stupid tables. Now go over there and get the Waynes to leave us a 200 tip.
Danny: Fine, but only if you do too!
Jazz: *Tighten her apron straps into an hourglass figure* Way ahead of you.
Danny: *Rolling eyes but does the same*
Meanwhile with the Waynes
Bruce: It's so nice to go out to eat with you all
Alfred: Indeed. It's a nice change, don't you agree, children?
Wayne kids: *hyperventilating*
Bruce Not looking up from his phone: The Fenton siblings?
Alfred: Indeed, sir. It seems like Master Dick, Master Jason, and Miss Cass are going to attempt to speak to Ms. Fenton today. Master Tim, Master Damian, Master Duke, and Miss Steph don't seem mentally ready to look Mister Fenton in the eye. Bets?
Bruce: Dick chokes on his fork again. Tim face plants on the table, and Steph once again speaks in gibberish after forgetting the entire English language.
Alfred: Very good, sir.
By far one of my favorite aus to read
I don’t know is someone asked this before, but do Steven and Connie ever have there “Here Comes A Thought” moment? With Garnet?
“You’re going to do great,” Pearl promised. “You’ve been training for months. I’ll be right there if it looks like anything is going to go wrong. Just don’t fall off the edge.”
“Just make sure none of them push me,” Connie said with a giggle, only to have her heart plummet into her stomach as the warp lit up. Steven, Garnet and Amethyst came through, trotting up the arena steps. Steven and Amethyst were already play fighting, mussing up each other’s hair and jostling one another as they settled in. No, no no. She searched for a thread of hope. “Do they have the arena first?”
“Of course not! I invited them to see you fight today. It’s kind of like a graduation ceremony.” Pearl winked.
That was fine. It was only her worst nightmare. She was fine. Steven, Garnet and Amethyst. That was three people and that wasn’t a crowd. Unless you added in Pearl, which was four. And then, if you thought about it, Ruby and Sapphire brought it up to at least five if not six. An audience of six. That was more than the fingers on a single hand. That was arbitrary. It didn’t matter. It was fine.
Her fingers flexed around the hilt. Her hand was getting kind of shaky. How was she supposed to fight with a shaky hand? She could look stu-She could get hurt. That was what mattered. Who cared about looking stupid? She could get seriously injured with a shaky hand while everyone was watching. Six people twelve eyes that was so many eyes to see her make a fool of herself-
“Connie?” Pearl’s voice came from far away. “Is something wrong?”
“No,” Connie said, her voice strained.
Stop it. She grit her teeth. Connie was not doing this today. She didn’t have time to do this today. She was busy. Her brain needed to focus on the right things or at least turn off. Was the air thinner here? She took a deep breath and her throat ached and her chest ached and her eyes burned because it was happening again. That wasn’t fair. She had a sword. Cool people with swords didn’t have meltdowns over people looking at them.
Six people twelve eyes and she hadn’t even started and she was looking stupid. Breathing kept getting harder as blurry eyes caught a glimpse of the concern on Pearl’s face - on everyone’s face. She couldn’t do this. She wasn’t a fighter. She wasn’t anyone. Everyone was looking and they could see she was faking her way into something better than she was. They could see her every flaw, her every mistake, the little things Pearl called out to correct because Connie wasn’t good enough to be here. She was going to humiliate herself.

Because it looks like it's making a beeline for her fields.
She has no idea what makes her fields such a magnet for this, but she's certain it's not an asteroid. She couldn't say how she knows, just that she does.
It looks like a ship of some sort, with blinking lights and reflective surfaces.
She's debating on whether or not to sound the alarm and call one of Clark's friends, since she doesn't know if this alien will be friendly or not, when she notices something.
That ship isn't coming in smooth.
It is, in fact, tearing itself apart the lower it gets.
Then, with a final, ear piercing boom, it completely shatters.
Martha's eye is drawn to a rather round piece that broke off and shot towards the very edge of her property.
She doesn't call one of Clark's friends.
She gets the first aid kit and gets in the truck.

Dan is flying the Specter Speeder through the Infinite Realms, an unconscious Danny on the floor of it behind him.
The twerp's injured.
He can't treat him.
He has to outrun the GIW and their own Speeders.
In desperation, he does a hard turn right into a temporary portal. The kind that blinks out of existence almost as soon as they get made.
He appears in the exosphere of another Earth.
No GIW Speeder follows him, but he's got a new problem; this thing isn't meant for the force re-entering Earth's atmosphere will put on it.
He puts it on autopilot, ordering it to find an empty area with good Ley Lines, and turns to start arranging both himself and Danny into the escape pod.
He can't activate it, or it'll also be subjected to the forces currently tearing the Speeder apart.
He'll have to stay in the pod, shielding his clone/twin as best as he can, while they hurtle towards Earth.
The last thing he remembers is the pod breaking away from the Speeder and hitting the ground.
The next thing he knows, he's waking up on the floor of a farmhouse, covered in bandages.
