Danny: im just saying Orphan has to be a vampire!
????(cass): No.
Danny: Are you kidding me? She moves with far to much elegance and grace to be mortal. Credit to the other bats but they move like mortals. She dances around both rogues and vigilantes!

????(cass): Batman.
Danny: well that says something about batman doesn't it. Have you seen the first Robin's outfit? Oof!

Danny: Oh! Yeah! My parents will take hours explaining everything anyway, But uhm. What's your name?

The next part will come out next week.
Usually, I post 6 panels each week but my computer kept on deleting these ones so I could only do 5 :/
It all started when a number code flashed across the screen of the Batcomputer while Tim was working on a case.
7 8 15 19 20
Flashed across the screen several times to the point it made Tim think that someone somehow managed to hack into the Batcomputer. It was also a number code he was not familiar with at all. So Tim reported it back over their comms in hopes that maybe one of the others knew what the numbers meant. Because all he managed to figure out from it was that the number code was an alert on the Batcomputer, one that came with coordinates that lead into the middle of nowhere.
Tim was about to join the discussion Dick and Jason were having on it when Bruce silenced them all apruptly speaking up.
"Answer code 2 1 20, sent them to the coordinates attached. I will be in the cave in ETA3 and take over from there."
The sudden silence on their communication line spoke volumes especially when Tim new the numbers was a simply code for Bat. He still did what Bruce asked him to do but that didn't stop the questions running through Tim's mind. He watched on the screen of the Batcomputer how the moment he sent the code in return, Programs started like on autopilot. A map opening that contained nothing at first but then changed into a map of a whole good damn city. Tim could only gap at what was happening on the Batcomputer before Bruce appeared and pulled him away from his seat to take over himself.
Bruce without a beat of delay started to input more codes and apparently access codes too as more and more windows opened on the Batcomputer. Tim did not realise that with time Dick, Cass and Damian had joined him as they watched Bruce work away on the Batcomputer. At some point an audiotrack opened but all they could hear was only static. They thought Bruce was going to run it through one of the noise filtering programs.
But to the shock of them, Bruce suddenly triggered a hidden compartment on the console, causing it to flip over and reveal communication link build in a way non of them had ever seen before. It was silver with green accents and looked far... older and less sleek than any of the ones they used. It was clearly not designed to stay completely hidden if put into your ear.
They watched how he simply put that earpiece on and then replayed the audiotrack.
The batkids shared a look of confusion. Non of them sure what to make of the situation until suddenly Bruce stood up from the Batcomputer.
"Prepare for a rescue mission. Nightwing, Orphan and Robin will come with me, the rest of you will stay in Gotham." Was all the man said before storming of towards the Batplane.
"Bruce what is going on?!" Dick instead of going to prepare asked stoping the man before he could get away from them. "What is the meaning of that code? Aside from the fact that simply translated it means ghost."
Bruce eyed the batkids present for a moment before letting out a grunt. "Ghost is finally ready to join the family."
"Ghost?" Tim echoed confused, never having heard that alias for any of them.
"Father what do you mean, 'join the family'?" Damian chimed in clearly frowning with suspicion.
The man eyed them once more his eyes going over each of his children, it looked like he was contemplating telling them more for a moment before he stood to fully face them and let out a sigh. "Like Clark, I too have clone child."
There was a stunned silence. No one speaking up until Dick did. "How long...?"
The silence continued as they all did the mental math. Once more it was Dick who spoke up first, clearly stunned. "You had a clone since I was eleven and now is the first time I hear of that?! You never bothered telling any of us?!"
There was a long suffering sigh. "We got to Danny before he was aged up, he was a normal baby even if created in a laboratory, so it was best for him to grow up normally, with the league we arranged for him to be sent to selected family since I had my hands full with you and-"
"Danny?!" Dick cut in. "His name is Danny? Does he even know about us?"
"Dick." Bruce called out his tone warning. "Of course I kept an eye on Danny's life. And I did made contact with him when the time was appropriated considering some of the things that were happening for the boy as he grew up, however he is not aware that he is a clone and it will stay that way. He will get to know all of you once we finished this rescue mission."
Before Dick or any of the others could say anything more Bruce spoke up firmly again. "Get ready now, we do not have any more time. Anything else will be handled later."

An expresso.
Five creams. One sugar.
Enough to bring enthusiasm into a person’s day, even if it meant that day was toiling with academics and personal grievance, which Connie Maheswaran definitely didn’t have. Not in the slightest. If she was, she would be more than welcome to groan and toil about than just complain about it.
Right. Maybe. She didn’t know if her mind was working with the caffeine, but at least she had an ounce of consciousness.
The cup of coffee sullen her mood, clasped in her hands as the piano music of the café reassured her mind that something will come out of this. A lone plate, crumbs strewn, with a rumple of ripped tissue were what remained of her sandwich. She just had to work on the pages in front of her—mathematics scattered like ants—and then she could have some peace. Maybe a muffin too if her mind wasn’t peckish.
“Connie?” The girl blinked, languid-eyed, as a new face sat down opposite from her. This was a café, of course, someone would take the seat opposite her, but why would they was the question here. When the sleep wore off, and she saw who was actually in front of her, she got her answer: bushy-crowned, smile the icon of a million rays, Steven Quartz Universe (gem piercing and everything) was sitting in front of her. “You okay?”
The athlete spotting her at the local joint shouldn’t be a surprise. But it was. Enough to have her stare at him with unashamed stiffness, like she was viewing an anomaly alike to the Loch Ness monster. “What are you doing here?”
“I usually go here?” He responded, countenance morphing with his confusion. His hand placed down a sweet-smelling bag, wafting of sugar and chocolate. “The group loves to grab doughnuts before we hit the town, but when I saw you here, I thought it would be great to meet up.”
That’s a classic Steven Universe move. Out of everyone she has met in Ocean Town Academy, she never expected people to broaden their horizons over friendships other than their typical clique. It’s hard to talk to people so the fact that people such as Steven Universe exist in her university makes it harder to describe. Was it a coincidence that this charismatic boy has the biggest set of connections because of his preppy sports team? One could coin a conspiracy, but she’d like to think something was going on with his family, preferably lots of money or lessons in etiquette.
But, to be fair, she never really talked to him until both of them planned his astrophysics tutoring, being a soft-spoken young adult that didn’t look the type to be part of the rumors that tailed him. There were rumors of him, of things he’s done, or the plots his friends got involved in, mostly in road trips and orientation-exploring escapades with boys; not at all secure, yet intriguing to think about from an outsider perspective—it seemed like he attracted a lot of attention that she, herself, never had the gall to attain.
What was his secret? Was it just as simple as charisma and extroverted intent? Or was it all a mask like those 80s and 90s high school movies she kept jotting through when her parents weren’t home?
“Uhm, Connie?” She snapped out of it. Steven had his eyebrows skewed, looking at her like she just resurrected in front of him in an instant he pulled her back to Earth—which must’ve been the case, considering how confused he looked.
“Erm, uh, yes?” Great going, now he thinks you’re inattentive. Connie took a sip from her coffee, wincing at the slight burn on her tongue. “What did you say?”
“I asked if you wanted to go hang out with me and the girls.” His smile beamed like always, but the question shook her to her core; leaving her wide-eyed and placid. “I want to get to know you better, and what’s better than a trip to a laser light show?”
“Right now?”
“Yep!”
He had to be joking. But can this boy joke with such tooth-rotting sincerity? It had to kill someone, eventually. “I don’t know. Are you sure? I wouldn’t want to disturb you.”
“It’s no biggie.” He said, Connie looking down to realize that he wasn’t in the cheering attire she’d seen him tow around. Instead, he was wearing a blue-yellow letterman jacket, cartoon t-shirt hanging between the folds like a snapshot. “We have a lot of room in Natalie’s van. I can help introduce you to everyone!”
What part of this world allowed this guy to stride on over to her and ask her to get into an anonymous van? She wasn’t that gullible. “I don’t think I’m comfortable being in a van with a huge group of people.”
“Oh, you don’t like getting squished?” He asked. And it was seeping of genuine intent, the innocence shielding him from the awkward contexts that hung over her words. “I mean, you can go into shotgun if you’d like?”
“I don’t think I’d like that either.”
“So, it’s a no then?” There was still some hope in his voice. Sweet and gentle.
She grimaced even more. “It’s a no.”
“Oh. Well, that’s okay.” Even with her reluctance and weariness, there was a part of her that winced over his voice. It revealed too much disappointment, like the intent wasn’t of malice but of something pure and simple—Connie wondering if her brain was on haywire or if the lights were too bright or if her tension got to him. She had no clue what made her feel so guilty at this moment. “I still would like to befriend you more, so I hope to see you at the library on Wednesday.”
Wednesday. The day when the first tutoring session shall begin. Pressing up her glasses, Connie affirmed to it, her tongue cotton. “I’ll have my schedule cleared up just for you.”
“Thanks, Connie, you’re the best!” He placed a solitary coco-glazed doughnut onto her plate, and then, giving her a quick and chipper wave, walked out with the rest of his pastries.
Eyeing through the café windows, she spotted the van in the vast parking lot—a cheerleader leaping onto him in a bear hug before the two of them disappeared into the vehicle. And with that, it buckled out of the parking space and drove out of her sight.
She huffed, continuing to eye the coffee lulling in her container. She wondered what would have happened if she accepted his offer. Would it have made a difference?
Comic on Tapas
Have I read this prompt somewhere or was this a fever dream from my bored mind.
What if, now hear me out.
What if we bring up Dana Winters-Drake (whose confirmed to at least be alive in the DC verse but no one knows where she actually is)
What if instead of when she had a mental breakdown and getting committed to an Bludhaven clinc she wandered away before anyone noticed and by the time Tim or anyone did notice a lot of stuff started happening at once in both Gotham and Bludhaven (Steph dying, The Bludhaven crisis, etc etc)
Tim still tries to find her though but even with best resources it was like she just disappeared into the wilderness and the stress of trying to handle more and more problems get worse.
So when out of the blue, a couple of years later, he gets a call from an unknown number. On his private, only for friends and family, phone and when he answers he meet with a young girls voice on the other end.
A very young, maybe six or seven, girl who informs him about his apparently half-brother Danny Drake-Fenton. And how she loves Danny so, so, so much but knows her home is dangerous for him to be in.
Tim is stunned and before he could question her, she says Danny is Dana and Jack's baby and that her parents had adopted him years ago and put Dana's stuff that the hospital had away for him to look at when he was older but she just had to fight off their lunch from eating her brother and she knows he needs a better place to live and so she snooped around and found Dana's diary and that she had to unscramble the nonsense Dana wrote and found Tim's number with the words 'tell him about his brother Danny' hidden in it. And-
But before she could keep rambling she hears Danny screaming "JAZZY THE MILK WENT BAD AGAIN AND HISSED AT ME!"
Tim is left with silence after hearing Jazz yell to Danny to lock the fridge and step out of the kitchen as she gets the bat.
