it's interesting how despite her freakiness, mahoro isn't on the same level of delusional as arajin or matakara. arajin and matakara keep chasing the object of their affection (mahoro for arajin, arajin for matakara) to fuel their own coping mechanisms, and in the process they start to build up a version of them that only exists in their heads. meanwhile, mahoro fangirls over marito and chases after him, sure, but she knows that he won't listen to her and leaves when she knows he doesn't want her there. i think she's self-aware to an extent because mahoro knows what kind of person marito truly is. i hope next episode arajin finally realises that he and matakara are wearing the same hat and does something about it.

Calling it right now, Jasmine is an actual cat and that’s the funny twist in the final episode

so in every style savvy game there's a guy in it that wants to kiss you so bad. this guy does not exist in styling star. styling star is the game with a very obvious lesbian couple in it. it has just occured to me at 2 in the morning that there isn't a boy who wants to kiss you in styling star because Yolanda wants to kiss you

the episode was interesting story-wise as always (aside from arajin having one extra cringe hetero moment not related to mahoro) but it fell kind of short. Don’t get me wrong, it looked good as always, just between shots and the way the story plays out feels more… choppy? I can’t explain it. If there’s something happening behind the scenes I hope gets remedied because I don’t want the production/story to go downhill because it has so much potential

On the positives: we get to see mahoro being an evil girlboss this episode, siguma squad and more delinquent gang lore seeing how differently each gang operates. the welcoming party you can tell they’re all having fun even tho they’re beating each other up

theories/questions for future episodes: does that mean if arajin is going to become marito’s successor will he fight matakara??? or will matakara fight marito or mahoro? it’d be interesting to see mahoro fight someone because she’s clearly capable of force and manipulation in other ways (slaps arajin, screams like a siren to get matakara to go away) Now that he knows the reason why arajin joined siguma I wonder how willing matakara is to fight for him/get him back.

I also wonder how the NG boys will play into the next/future ep. next episode is probably about the war between the gangs because that’s where the episode left off.

Ok listen. I know what Mahoro did in the latest episode to both Matakara and Arajin (esp my sunshine boy Matakara 😠) is straight up nasty. Outright ignoring the former when she was confronted for her subtle manipulative tactics and refusing to give her answer and being downright ignorant of Arajin’s feelings and slapping him when he tried to back out.

But at the same time, I can’t bring myself to hate her despite her shitty behaviour in today’s episode, cause from what I see, she is just a morally selfish girl. Not evil like what the NG Boys are building up to be in the later episodes, just horribly selfish when it comes to her brother.

Which made me curious. Does she and Marito have any living relatives? Was Marito her only support since childhood and when he started to get into gang fights, started to ignore her? Why does she go out of her way to make herself look cute and pretend to care for the guy all just so that said guy can take over Siguma and bring her brother back to her?

I think there is a lot of potential with Mahoro’s character and why she acts selfish when it comes to her brother’s attention.

Hopefully, by future episodes, we get to find out soon enough.
