Currently insane about the parallel Endeavor was created as a coping mechanism to protect Enji from the heartbreak about his father's death the same way Dabi was created to protect Touya from the heartbreak of Enji emotionally abandoning him.

And then how their endgame is Dabi destroying Endeavor, leaving Enji and Touya sharing a slow hell of grief.
