In the HP fandom there are an innumerable amount of pairings between one or two characters. In this post I'll go over the ships that I like or have like in the past regarding the characters inside the Golden Trio. Be aware that all of this is only my opinion and in no way do I think that other ships are invalid because of what I like. This is just for fun.
I always felt that Harry needed someone fun in his life. As someone who is constantly pessimistic and a "realist" regarding the future of his life Harry is sometimes unable to have a positive thought unless absolutely necessary (Patronus Charm).
There's a reason he enjoyed Ron's company a lot more than Hermione, Ron was there to remind him not what necessarily mattered, but what was also important in any person's life: fun.
So who better for Harry Potter than his best friend:
Who else but the first dynamic duo that Harry was a part of? Ron has been with Harry from the start. He has never been afraid to call out Harry when needed and he was even Harry favorite person.
The two could play Quidditch together and spend time doing things the two love doing seeing as they're almost two peas in a pod. And I'm about 92% sure that at some point Harry had a crush on Ron.
However, if Ron was not available for Harry or played for the other team there is a person who is just like him. Only with longer hair:
Just like Ron, except Ginny has boobs. I think from a standpoint she is one of the few people who could truly understand what it's like to have Voldemort constantly in their mind. She understands him in a way that Ron never could.
This is my OTP for Harry, but Rarry comes a close second. And what comes third is a bit more interesting. Harry needs someone that can take off his mind from Voldemort, someone who understands him as well as someone who knows what it's like to live through what he lived through:
Luna and Harry have a lot in common, but one thing that Harry could relate to the year he met Luna is being an outcast and an outsider.
Even in his previous years Harry had always been an outsider, someone who outside their choice became someone not relatable and uneasy to comprehend. Luna was an outcast because of her choice to be eccentric.
Who else would know what it's like to lose someone in front of your eyes but Luna?
Ah yes, the youngest of the Weasley boys. Ron is someone who is always positive, funny and quite optimistic. Like we previously mentioned he is good for Harry, but is Harry good for him? Ron is not necessarily attracted to looks in fact he advised Harry against choosing someone purely for their look at the end of OoTP.
Ron is quite insecure and always needs someone who is aware of his achievements and what he's capable of. Someone who notices who he is and doesn't think he's just Harry's sidekick:
My OTP since I was eleven years old. Brains and brawn. Beauty and beast. Opposites attract. Friends to lovers. Is there something these two lovebirds can't do?
Hermione knows Ron, he has seen him at his worse as well at his best. He knows truly just how brave and courageous he is, as well as how kind and loyal he can be. Wether it was the moment they met, or during the disastrous Yule Ball, Ron was destined for Hermione and vice versa.
Someone who reminded him of serious important stuff, someone who challenged him without making him feel inadequate or stupid, someone who could calm his nerves before his first Quidditch match.
However, there had been times where Hermione has been too blunt or simply doesn't acknowledge Ron as a person. Who is someone that could be more perceptive:
What else is there to say? From the moment the two of them met Luna thought Ron was funny and even expressed interest in having gone with Ron to the Yule Ball last year. Ron for his part thought she was... Looney.
That opinion however changed and throughout his fifth year and her fourth year he became aware of just how amazing she was. He even said so himself. Luna thinks well of Ron and has seen him in the face of danger, however she is also aware of his bluntness and isn't the type of person to stay quiet when it's clear he is less than nice.
But perhaps this is not enough praising? Who else could honestly praise Ron's achievements even more?:
To be honest I'm in the fence about this pairing. On one hand I love Ron and Hermione together and Lavender puts a wedge between the two. On the other I like the fact that Lavender likes Ron for who he is and isn't afraid to show her affection for him.
Unlike Hermione she didn't waste the chance to show her feelings for Ron by kissing him right after his first Quidditch Match. At the time I think Lavender was good for Ron as she took notice of him when Ron thought not even Hermione did. I think if Hermione was out of the picture she would be a really good partner to Ron.
Now, let's not forget something in common with this girls: Wisdom and intellect. Hermione, Luna and Lavender are all incredible clever at something in particular. Wether is books, wise advice, or Divination, so it seems that Ron is attracted to brains, how ironic considering his scars.
An honorable mention goes to Romionuna (A Ron, Hermione and Luna Polyamorous Pairing) I once stumbled across this ship in a fic and it left me quite a good taste.
The brightest witch of her age. Hermione was definitely the hardest of the three to pair with with as she is quite a special character. I think hers is probably the shortest of every list here.
And that is because there is only one name on this list. Ronald Bilius Weasley is the only one for Hermione Granger and that is a fact. Even though I despise The Play That Shall Not Be Named I need to give them props for one thing only. The way that Ron and Hermione interact with each other. Even in a world where they never get together Hermione still pines for Ron and vice versa.
He makes her laugh, relax and is the source of most of her fun in the Wizarding World. He loves her and she loves him and guess what. It's canon. That's right, it doesn't matter if you dislike it because it happened and it's perfect and this presentation is done.

So this took the longest time to finish, but I wanted to make it right
The Granger and Weasley families were rivals. One family warriors and adventurers working for the crown and banks. The other with more than half of them working as healers. The youngest son of the Weasley family, Ron, and the only daughter and heiress to the Granger family, Hermione, both knew that if the feud kept on going, both families would cease to exist.
There was an arrangement made between the two of them. They would marry in order for the two families to cease their seemingly eternal feud. And it worked. The feud had been over. There were celebrations, parties and balls made in the honor of the young newlywed couple.
But there was something that no one knew about the couple. And it was the mutual intolerance of one another. Ron believed that Hermione was a stuck-up nagging know-it-all that seemed to always need to be in the right. Hermione believed that Ron was an immature insensitive tactless man-child that had the apparent need to always swear.
But unknown to one another they became more and more smitten. They couldn’t let the other know. How could Hermione know that Ron thought that her wild brown hair made his heart beat somehow faster whenever he saw her in the morning? How her scrunched nose whenever she read a book was the most adorable thing he’d ever seen in another human?
How could Ron ever know that Hermione’s breath would almost stop completely whenever his large hands came in contact with her skin? How his blue eyes were the most beautiful shade of blue she had ever come across?
During a ball in Christmas Eve, Ron had a little bit too much to drink, desperate for an escape from his constant and undying pining towards Hermione. Then, Viktor Krum, a successful and famed boxer, had made an appearance and had danced with her throughout the night. She had called him out trying to stop him from possibly drinking himself to death, but Ron wasn’t having it.
“For once stop being a nightmare!” He had told her in an abandoned hallway. Her eyes filled with tears as her heart broke, and she ran towards the forests where no one could hear her crying.
Ron could only watch the back of her head with those curls that he so desire to sink his fingers into. He returned to the party after drinking a made-up hangover tonic that was in the pantry that managed to sober him up.
“WOLVES!” a quivering and scared voice yelled in the middle of the Living Room. “WOLVES HAVE BEEN SPOTTED NEAR THE MANOR!”
A sudden fear, so paralyzing that he thought if the world had stopped spinning for a whole minute, and then, Ron’s legs were moving before he realized.
Hermione sat on a rock by the lake. Her head in her hands as tears strolled down her cheeks. She sniffed and whined, not noticing the three wolves that had appeared just a couple of feet in front her. She raised her head. She knew she should’ve screamed for her help, but she became petrified. The middle wolf growled at her and as he went to lounge at her she covered her face, just to hear the wolf whimper along the voice of her husband.
“OI!” he bellowed. “Shit brain!”
Ron had thrown a sharp rock so hard the wolf had started to bleed, it escaped leaving two feral wolves to deal with. Ron threw another rock this time upwards hitting a large but weak branch that fell on top of a second wolf trapping him. The last wolf simply left seeing no worth in continuing the attack.
Ron was on Hermione at once hugging her as tight as she could. He laid apology after apology on her. He was crying, he realized how close he was to losing her. She was crying, she realized she hadn’t told him how she felt, she might’ve not had the chance if he hadn’t come.
They looked at one another. An unspoken agreement of blue crashing with brown. Their lips were on one another in a second, dancing with the other as they kissed for the first time. Her lips were softer than his dreams had thought of them. After perhaps making up for months constant pining and wanting they detached, their foreheads touching as their breaths hit their faces.
“Marry me,” he said. She laughed as if what he’d said was ridiculous.
“We’re already married.”
“Don’t care. I married you for them,” she didn’t need him to specify who was them. “I want to marry you.” A smile formed on her face as he kissed him some more.
“I will.”
Prince James was someone who princess Lily always thought of as arrogant, pompous. A no good brat who alway got what he wanted.
They met at the engagement ball of prince Sirius and princess Pandora, the two were close to the bride and the groom, but it was more out of obligation more than anything else that the two spend time together. In preparation for the wedding the two prepared the ball, it had been nothing short of a disaster.
Prince James had fallen in love the second he had set his eyes on Lily, she was perfect, the perfect red hair, green eyes, slender figure with the wisdom of Athena. Lily herself had taken notice of James's attractive features, his brown eyes and messy hair that looked like a tornado had gone through it.
But then the arrogant idiot prince had to open his mouth and ruin everything. He was nothing short of a complete abuser of his power, making fun of people at every chance he had and boasting about his expert sword-handling. He also had the incredibly awful habit of making fun of princess Lily's closest friend Severus Snape.
It was on the week before the wedding when she had enough, prince James had humiliated Severus publicly and Lily had done her best to defend him, but when he James finally relented his continuous abusive ministrations he had called her the most awful of names someone could call another person.
She left that same day, losing a life-long friendship, but also freeing herself from prince James.
On the day of what was supposed to be prince Sirius and Pandora she had been told that the wedding had been cancelled. It was an arranged marriage, everyone knew that, but after some encouraging from prince James, Sirius had decided to run away to Potter Castle with prince James.
It was so that James and Lily didn't see each other for the next two years, but she would often hear of his adventures, his new and constant battles as he freed towns from oppressive bandits with nothing but his sword. She would hear of his charitable actions regarding the poor people of his kingdom.
When they finally met again, it was like meeting a whole different person. The cocky and arrogant attitude while still there, had died down a lot, his kindness was something truly amazing and so was his compassion. Princess Lily hated herself for even thinking it, but she was falling in love, at least that's what she thought as she had never felt what she did for prince James, for any other person.
There was a problem, however, prince James seemed to had forgotten about her. Although the two stayed on amicable terms there were no more propositions of marriage or courting only subtle nods or quick greetings.
And then the news came to her, he was soon getting engaged, his parents were already too old and they desired to see prince James married and with a child. And so being his usual selfless self prince James had organized a huge ball where multiple women, royal or not, were to attend so that he may choose a proper wife.
Princess Lily hadn't received an invitation and when she found out she didn't waste another second and set out. As she entered the ball room she saw him standing tall in front of a crowd of girls all different from the other, his mouth opened and Lily hoped she was not too late.
"I prince James of Godric's Hollow," he said. "Hereby choose–"
"Don't!" Lily shouted without really meaning to. James turned his head, shock displayed all across his features. "Don't marry them. They don't– I will– You are the most... Insensitive, pompous, arrogant and handsome fool I've ever met."
Faces and murmurs clearly didn't agree with that, but the corner of James's mouth quirked up.
"But I love you so please don't marry them," his eyes widened at her confession, and he seemed to think for a second before he cleared his throat.
"As I said," his eyes showing mirth. "I prince James of Godric's Hollow, hereby choose," it was over. Lily was too late. "Princess Lily of Surrey to be my wife."
Her head shot up, unsure of what she heard. Until he came down from the pedestal where he stood and walked towards her with a determination she didn't know was possible in a human being. He embraced her, his hands wrapped around her, his head looming closer until finally their lips met in a soft kiss.
So yes, prince James was someone who princess Lily always thought of as arrogant, pompous. But damn it, he did get what he wanted in the end.
Ron sat down at the bar counter asking Rosmerta for his usual, Rum with Coke. He had finished preparing his latest lecture for his Literature Class at Hogwarts University. It had taken him almost an eternity to finish it in time, as he went to take a drink he heard a familiar voice behind him.
“Professor Weasley?” he’d recognized it anywhere. He turned around seeing Hermione Granger, the top students in all of Hogwarts perhaps. She was one his students, and the most challenging as well. Every class was filled with bickering between the two as they discussed a new novel or talked about a problematic author.
Recently he had started seeing her in a new light. As an educator he was ashamed of these thoughts, after all he was nearly ten years her senior. Well, he was barely seven years older than her, but that was still pretty bad. He had managed to become a professor thanks to the Headmaster, an old family friend.
“Ms. Granger,” he said. “What are you doing here? Isn’t it past your bed time?” She rolled her eyes, but she still smiled at his joke.
“Well, actually, my dorm mate Lavender said that I could use a break from all the studying. I don’t normally go out as much since–” she cut herself short as a sad look came across her eyes.
Ron didn’t need to finish. He had heard the gossiping around campus. How Hermione Granger had managed to score legendary football player Viktor Krum before leaving for college just for him to break up with her a few months later. He had actually heard of Krum, he was as old as him and Ron held a big admiration towards the famous athlete, before that admiration turned to disdain.
How could someone ever even think about breaking up with Hermione Granger? Sure, she could be nagging and bossy. But she was also kind, and brave. She wasn’t afraid of speaking her mind. And the fact that she was beautiful didn’t went over his head. She had this wild hair that always seemed untamable and Ron often found himself laying in bed as he pictured his fingers tangled in her mane while her mouth worked him until completion. He shook his head. He couldn’t think of that right now, and in front of her nonetheless.
“Well,” he said taking another sip of his drink. “I hope you have fun, Ms. Granger.”
“You too, Professor.”
The night went by and Ron couldn’t stop occasionally staring at her from the bar counter. In her table there were four other girls: a blonde girl who he had to guess was Lavender from the way Hermione kept calling her to get off the table; two identical brown girls, who Ron guessed were twins, one seemed as excited as Lavender and the other reminded him more of Hermione; and another blonde girl who had the widest eyes he had ever seen along with a dreamy look.
As the evening went by many of the girls started heading back to their dorms and homes. Lavender went back with an Irish boy from Ron’s class named Seamus, the identical sisters were helping Luna who had fell from the table trying to dance in a strange way. Leaving Hermione alone in the table, Ron noticed she had barely had anything to drink. He took a last sip from his drink and left some money.
He went out the bar and walked in the direction of his home. He decided that he was too tired to walk and went to take out his phone just to find that he left it at the bar. Groaning he returned back finding a couple apparently snogging by the doorway. Ron muttered something about kids these days until he recognized the wild mane of curls and something that was definitely not good.
“Cormac!” Hermione’s voice yelled. “I said get off!”
“Shut up!” replied Cormac McLaggen. He was part of the rugby team. “You’ve been teasing me all night with that dress. And I think it’s time I have a little fu–”
Cormac’s threat was cut short as a fist flew to the side his jaw. Cormac slumped to the ground. Hermione looked scared and turned towards Ron, as the fear in her expression left just to be replaced with a crying relief. She wrapped her arms tightly against Ron. He patted her back as she cried and thanked him.
“Are you alright?” he asked. Her head moved up and down against his chest. “I forgot my phone. I’ll go get it and then I’ll call you a taxi, alright?” She nodded again.
He went back inside the bar, took his phone and warned Rosemerta about McLaggen before going back out and calling a taxi for Hermione. When the taxi arrived he was faced with a request from her.
“C-can you ride back with me?” Ron didn’t hesitate and nodded.
NSFW Content ahead
The ride to her home was quiet. When they reached the door to her dorm, something sparked between the two fo them. Hermione pulled the collar of Ron’s shirt and brought his lips to her own. Ron knew this was wrong, yet he didn’t do anything to stop it. They were a passionate mess of kisses, licks and bites between the two.
"Are you sure?" He asked.
"Are you asking me if I'm drunk?" She asked him, her eyes half-lidded as they gazed at his lips.
"I'm asking you if you want to shag me as much as I want to ravage you?"
"And I'm saying I really want to ravage you as well, professor."
He undressed her with the most delicate of touches he had ever shown to another human being. She wasn’t just a hook up. Not to him at least.
When they were both nearly naked, Ron only having his underwear left, Ron put her down on the bed. He laid soft kisses from her ankle, to the back of her knee, to her inner thigh until his tongue was tasting her folds, the sweet nectar of her arousal touched his tongue and he thought his cock would actually burst. She writhed in pleasure under him, she was like the prey that he had wanted to tear apart for so long.
With a long moan that went to his ears and then to his cock she came. He kissed up her body, dipping his tongue inside her belly button and circling her nipples when he got to her chest before he reached her face. She was so bloody beautiful, and he didn’t know if he could hold on for any longer.
She turned them over kissing his jaw and neck. As she kissed him down his body before reaching the front of his trousers where a very prominent bulge took a hold of her attention. She kissed it through the cloth making him throw his head back. She pulled down his underwear revealing his large and thick manhood. She looked unsure of herself, and Ron was about to tell her she didn’t have to when she closed her mouth around him.
She was unexperienced that much was obvious her licking and sucking was very tentative, like she was afraid of doing something wrong. His hand unconsciously sought out her hair, as his fingers tangled with her hair. She didn’t seem to object as one of his fantasies seemed to play out in front of him. It took him Hermione kissing the tip of his cock before he came spurt after spurt in her mouth. He tried apologizing, but was left speechless when he saw her swallowing his ejaculation.
When he entered her he was careful, he realized this was her first time in a long time from how tight she was. He took his time to pleasure every part of her, playing special attention to her clit, nipples, neck and everything that he saw was making her approach her climax.
They came together with a powerful moan that mixed their two voices. She laid on top of him as she seemed to count the freckles on his chest.
“I’ve been wanting that for months now,” she said.
“Me too,” he admitted, running his fingers through her hair.
"So."
"So?"
"What does this mean?"
Ron took a few seconds, staring at her brown eyes, his heart spoke before his head had properly giving it a thought.
"I think that was one of the best nights I've had in a long time," he said. "And I'd love to take you out on a date, Ms. Granger." She smiled a bright and wide smile.
"It's Hermione, and I'd love to, professor."
"It's Ron, and I can't wait for it, Hermione."
That is so cool! I love it! It feels so good to know that people enjoy what I write!
Ron giving Hermione a little Christmas Gift. Scene taken from Ron Weasley and the Hogwarts Tournament. I recommend it, if you haven’t read it yet. Its Ron-centric and treats all the characters fairly. AO3 - https://archiveofourown.org/works/32071795/chapters/79449952 FF.net - https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13906311/1/Ron-Weasley-and-the-Hogwarts-Tournament Ron is a little more muscular and his hair has grown out because he has been very busy training. And Hermione has taken notice. They are in PJs because its early morning and Hermione found Ron working out… :) As I was reading through, I thought this was a cute moment and so I had to draw it up. I was originally going to leave it as a quick rough sketch but I was reminded that Valentine’s Day is coming up so I decided to fix it up and post it. Maybe one day I will color it in properly…
Harry and Hermione didn’t see Ron after the match, Harry had been involved in a fight with Malfoy, and all thoughts about celebrating with the team had gone out the window. And now he was serving a week's worth of detention along with the twins. It didn’t matter to her or Percy the horrible things that Malfoy said about Mrs. Weasley, and Harry thought at first that he’d seen George at his angriest with Malfoy, but when he saw that Percy was doing nothing knowing the things Malfoy said about their mother he thought George might’ve killed his older brother.
After he returned to the Common Room, he informed Fred of what’d occurred, the Gryffindor Quidditch Team once again had to restrain him. Harry was asked by Hermione where Ron was, Harry figured Ron was just avoiding them out of embarrassment.
Hermione spotted Hagrid’s return and Harry couldn’t have been happier. Harry and Hermione sneaked their way out to Hagrid’s Hut using Harry’s Invisibility Cloak, the Marauders’ Map and pausing at intervals to prevent themselves from being found by Filch or Mrs. Norris. They walked across the grounds and knocked on Hagrid’s door, they had made their way to Hagrid’s home without having made a single noise, that was until Hermione saw Hagrid’s damaged face and screamed.
“Merlin's beard, keep it down!" said Hagrid hastily, staring wildly over their heads. "Under that Cloak, are yeh? Well, get in, get in!"
Hermione apologized as she gasped, her and Harry made their way inside the house and pulled the cloak off once inside so he could see them. As Hermione worried for him once more and Hagrid dismissed her, Harry took a good look at the half-giant. He had bruises all over his face, there was blood on his clothes, beard, and hair. His movements suggested he may have broken a few bones, perhaps his ribs.
As he dismissed Harry’s demands to tell him what happened to him he put a copper kettle on the fireplace offering them tea.
“I'm tellin' yeh, I'm fine,” Hagrid said as he turned to Harry and Hermione trying to show a smile, but wincing at the attempt. "Blimey, it's good ter see yeh three agai-” Hagrid suddenly turned to look all over his home as if to double check, his good eye roamed every corner before settling back on both Harry and Hermione.
“Oi,” said Hagrid. “Where the ruddy hell is Ron? Too old ter visit his old friend?” Harry and Hermione looked at each other before explaining what happened at the last Quidditch Game, Hagrid seemed quite angered by the Slytherin’s mocking of Ron. “Those ruddy slimy snakes, hope yeh taught ‘em a lesson ay Harry?” Harry looked curiously at Hagrid as if questioning what he’d say.
“What?” said Harry confused. “I mean not exactly, I was more focused on catching the snitch so Ron wouldn’t have to spend more time being laughed at.” Hagrid looked quite shocked and the slit that was his very bruised eye seemed to open a bit before he winced, he then looked at Hermione.
“Well then,” said Hagrid. “Surely yeh gave sum o’ them Slytherins detention idn’ yeh? Saw the prefect badge on yeh, congratulations by the way.” Hermione looked pleased before looking at Harry for help, Hagrid looked more surprised than ever before and he almost let the dragon meat fall off his injured face. “Can’ believe the two of yeh! Yer best friend gets laughed at and yeh don’ help the poor boy?!”
“It’s not like that Hagrid!” The two of them almost said in unison, but the way Hagrid had put it made Harry think that it was very much like that. Hagrid looked at the two of them not really believing their answer, but nonetheless he didn't push it further, he took the now whistling copper kettle and poured out tea in bucket-sized mugs. He sat back down on his chair.

Never saw something more relatable
Dear AO3 readers please know that if I do not reply to your comment it is because I am laying it on the ground and rolling in it like a cat in a flower bed
Okay, but young Hercules from the Disney movie looks exactly like how I picture Ron.
Tall, gangly, skinny, big hands, big feet, big ears, long nose, red hair, blue eyes. Am I the only one seeing this?
The Lion With The Red Mane
Thanks for asking!
So, in Greek Mythology, Heracles (yeah, it's not Hercules that's the roman one) has about 50 kids with 50 princesses. The Weasley family happens to descend from one of these kids, and Ron happens to inherit Heracles's powers. Strength, superhuman durability, superhuman senses and a strong sense of courage.
He has an irrational anger towards centaurs, has a good aim, finds Fluffy adorable, loves Care of Magical Creatures, and finds Luna's lion hat the coolest thing ever.
The fic mainly starts in GoF, but it has a few scenes of how Harry, Ron and Hermione deal with some of the things in their first three years. During the Triwizard Tournament Ron realizes he's not the only one with a god's powers.
That event however didn’t stop Fred and George’s teasing for a long time, they would sometimes throw kitchen knives and sharp objects at Ron and were always amused when said objects did nothing to their little brother.
Sometimes a small object would make its way under the fridge, like when Mr. Weasley had dropped his wand and it rolled under the fridge. Ron simply picked up the fridge and handed the wand back to his dad. Bill and Charlie were always impressed and they would ask Ron to throw a rock as hard as he could. Or throw a gnome with only his index finger and thumb to see how far he could throw it. Or to pick up a fallen tree trunk and making a bridge to go over the river in the forest near the Burrow. There was an endless amount of things that the two of them would come up with for Ron to do.
Percy would ask his father to bring him books regarding wizards with an incredible amount of strength like Ron, it was only until he had turned ten years old that he had given up and decided that maybe Ron was strong just because.
Ginny liked calling Ron his big strong brother. When she and Ron had to stay on the ground as there were no more brooms to play Quidditch with the others, she would wonder out loud what it was like to fly a broom, she had been five and Ron seven, but at that young age Ron simply picked her up and launched her upwards. She squealed in excitement as Ron kept tossing her like a Quaffle.
For the first time in a long time, Daphne felt a bit unconfident. As she walked down the halls to the stadium she couldn’t help, but to rub her naked nape. For almost five months now had she worn Tom’s locket, she had grown accustomed to the comfort of the cold gold chain that hugged her skin, and now only 15 minutes without it, she felt as if she was about to go crazy. She looked down at the box that she held in her hands, for some reason she felt unsure about this. Never before had she felt unsure, in fact having Tom around only made her far more and more confident about herself, but now it was as if his comforting praises and words were the true source of her confidence.
She knew this was ridiculous, before she met Tom she was already aware of her own skills and capabilities. Tom was only a voice reminding her of how special she was, of how capable she was, she didn’t need him…
Daphne looked down at the box in her hands, feeling a heavy weight dropping on top of her.
That much…
Entering the stadium she saw Diggory, Lovegood and Weasley engaged in a conversation. Weasley said something that made Diggory laugh, and Lovegood something that resembled laughter in somebody’s messed up book. Diggory clapped Weasley’s back, and calmed down enough to say something in return, which made Weasley laugh. Lovegood then said something that made both Diggory and Weasley stop laughing, they looked at each other before bursting into more laughter, Lovegood joining them good heartedly. The three of them almost looked like friends, and a strange ache settled in Daphne’s chest.
Clearing her throat, she announced herself to the room. The three looked up, Weasley’s chipper mood faltering at her sight, Diggory’s smile lowered, and Lovegood’s small and simple smile remained as she walked over to them. In fact, it was Luna who had decided to greet her.
“Hello, Daphne Greengrass,” she said. “How are you today?”
“I’m good,” she said, simultaneously wincing at her quiet tone. Clearing her throat once more she spoke in a more loud voice. “How about you?”
“I’m very good,” she said with a smile. “Thanks for asking. Although, I’m not sure how happy you’ll be with us today, seeing as we stopped speaking as soon as you entered the room.”
Diggory and Weasley gave Luna a sharp look, after which Diggory quickly recovered and approached her.
“Sorry about that,” said Diggory. “We were just–”
“It doesn’t matter,” she cut him off, even though the words didn’t feel that honest. “I understand why you wouldn’t be so inclined to be on good terms with me–”
“Oh she understands now does she,” Ron muttered in a sarcastic tone. Ignoring him she continued.
“I came with gifts,” she said. “A token of my forgiveness, and my willingness for us to be…” As she saw the way they stared at her, Daphne’s mind blanked. “To be…” Her throat felt dry and she swallowed to no avail, “To be…” Sweet Salazar, why was it so hot inside the stadium?
“Friends?” Ron finished for her in a questioning tone.
“YES!” Daphne shouted, making them flinch before she swallowed down her relief and repeating herself. “Yes,” she said in a more calm manner now.
She turned the box in her hands, opening it and revealing to them three large, oval lockets of heavy gold. One with an almost feathery ‘R’ in blue sapphires, another with a simple ‘H’ in diamonds, and the last had a sharp ‘G’ in red rubies. As the three other Champions looked down at their gifts, they all, almost, simultaneously looked back up at Daphne, who could only offer what she hoped was a friendly smile.

RWatHT Master List
The four Champions had been called to the stadium. Ron was just finishing the last of his Herbology assignment, his fingers dirty with small ink spots. His hair was bothering him as it stuck to the back of his neck, perhaps he needed a haircut, but he thought about his mother ranting about Bill's hair and put the idea aside almost immediately. As he entered his private room, he left his things in front of the fireplace, taking a bite of a chocolate biscuit he had left a day or two ago by the sofa.
He entered the stadium to find that the other Champions along with their founders were already there. As he munched on his chocolate biscuit he tried very hard not to feel like the odd one out. Cedric had his hammer holstered on his side, Daphne wore her silver rings and Luna had her bow on her back. Ron very silently went back to his room and took his sword.
Sitting down and waiting for his Master, Ron took a second biscuit from that day’s lunch and ate it in one bite. As he swallowed a loud bang came from behind him, making him choke on the sweet pastry.
“Very well,” Gryffindor hollered cheerily. “Wait, what are you all doing here so early?” He asked.
“We’ve been here for 45 minutes, Lord Gryffindor,” said Slytherin, who at that point had been conjuring water snakes with his wand. “You’re the one who's late.”
“My apologies then,” said Gryffindor, a smile still on his face despite inconveniencing everyone.
“Why did you summon us all here, Madame?” Cedric asked Hufflepuff.
“Well,” she said, in an uncertain tone of voice. “It has come to our attention that perhaps trying to get all of you to train together might lead you to a… closer interhouse-relationship.”
“We’re worried that you might end up killing each other if you don’t get along,” Gryffindor said in a bit of an annoyed tone.
“Godric!” The other three scolded, only making him scoff as if to dare anyone to prove him wrong. Slytherin rolled his eyes and looked at Luna.
“Come on now, we’ll start with you Ms. Lovegood,” said Slytherin. “You and Lady Ravenclaw shall show us exactly what you’ve been doing during your training sessions.”
Luna nodded, and took out her bow. Ravenclaw for her part summoned a cage filled with small flying lights with wings; they looked like blue glowing snitches that flew around the cage.
“Ms. Lovegood,” said Ravenclaw in a clear voice. “Are you ready?”
“Yes, madame,” said Luna. Ravenclaw waved her wand at Luna.
“Caesio,” a piece of black cloth wrapped around Luna's eyes. She waved her wand once more at the cage, and the flying lights began to soar around the stadium like dozens of snitches trying to get away from a seeker. “Begin.”
Luna pulled the string of the bow and simply aimed at the side, the spell that was in the shape of an arrow shined brightly, Luna kept the string incredibly tight, when the light of it suddenly shined even brighter in a quick flash.
“Stupefy,” she casted and three spells shot out of her bow and hit three of the lights, vanishing them and making the other lights flying around the stadium at an even faster rate. Luna began to look around, aiming her bow at a seemingly random place before hitting at least one, sometimes two. About a handful of them charged at her, and she simply jumped into the air, before stepping on air like she had done at the Match and hitting the last of them.
Ron clapped for her, and was surprised when he was the only one to. He looked at Daphne Greengrass, it checked out why she hadn’t clapped, but Cedric was looking at something in the air, paying almost no attention to Luna. His eyes moved from one side of the room to the other, and then Luna was hit on the side of her body.
“Ouch!” Luna shrieked. She put her bow on her back and took out her wand hitting the last of the little flying lights. Taking off her blind, she had a look of almost annoyance, like when Hermione had insulted the Quibbler in their first meeting.
“It’s fine, Ms Lovegood,” said Ravenclaw. “Good job. You make your house proud,” Luna still seemed upset, but Ravenclaw’s words seemed to brighten her mood slightly.
“Very well,” said Hufflepuff. “How about you go next, Cedric?”
