"My friend met him [Paul] at a party in LA, they chatted, then she hugged him. He whispered in her ear: "no one's hugged me like that since John Lennon". She nearly threw up from laughter."

To celebrate Ian Leslie's long anticipated biography of John & Paul, here is a look at a vintage McLennon article written by Michael Gerber all the way back in 2015. Don't skip the comments. Gerber responds to them and they bring out even more insight.
From the article: "A love affair between John and Paul, ended abruptly in March 1968 and followed by Paulโs departure from Rishikesh, explains a lot that the conventional narrative doesnโt."
From the comments: "But this is an obsession for a significant subgroup of Beatle fandom, and a significantly thoughtful, well-read and (strange as it may seem given the conjectural nature of the topic) evidence-based subgroup at that. And Iโm as interested in that subgroup as I am in the unanswerable question itself."

Oh my god, John. The flipper of a seal? Seriously John? Omigod. ๐
He does know that Mycroft will find out about that someday. He literally just said that he hears of Sherlock everywhere since John became his chronicler.
It just struck me how incredibly hard it must've been for Paul, George, and Ringo in the studio when they heard John's voice coming out of that tape deck singing "I know it's true"--
--I mean, it's hard enough on me and I'm just a second generation-era Beatles fan.
My new favorite music video of all time. Glad I'm not the crying type 'cause I'd be bawling.
Ugh my heart right now: ๐๐๐
My shadow waiting on me to finish the dishes and pay attention to her. (She's sooooooo neglected.)
Fair point, but in this case the video is from 14 years ago. โบ๏ธ
Int: Like you know today, John and Paul, all of that would have been behind them, they may have gotten back together - KM: Oh thereโs no question about it, no question, their relationship was so deep. Ken Mansfield, ex-Manager of Apple Records
