Had a full-day of workshop and I still have a few more to go... The day hasn't been that bad. Not until I realized how much I got charged for a recent imaging I had to do for my accident 🙃 They say US health insurance sucks, and I cannot agree more. I'm trying to stay positive and keep faith in the Universe, but it's hard when things like this happen. I don't know what more I can do. I don't know how I'm supposed to let go and surrender.

Completed

✅ Workshop ✅ Hangout with my friend ✅ Dinner ✅ Thesis work (30 minutes) ✅ Phone call with partner

Energy Periods

OK, I have to note this down because I just recognized an energy pattern that I have! What a win!

3-6pm: my peak productivity time

when it is easier for me to focus and concentrate

especially on days when I have not done anything at this point, I feel like doing something so the day doesn't slip away completely

helps when I have time to ease into a slow morning and make food for myself (and exercise on some days)

12-2pm: potential medium to medium-high energy

I know that it is possible for me to start doing tasks at 12pm, so this might be a period where I can start with easier tasks and feel good about some small wins

I think this will be a good time where I build up the momentum to do my higher tasks later in the day

9-11pm: medium energy

there have been days when I can still complete school tasks or even write parts of my thesis during this period (tbh I can push until 12am but I really need to get some sleep before a full day of classes)

hopefully this will be a period where if I have not been able to get to my thesis tasks during the week, I can save 2 hours just working on it before I go to bed

I usually sleep better the next day if I do work on my thesis task the day before

My schedule doesn't always allow a ful-day of research/thesis work, so hopefully this will help me organize my time based on my energy instead of what I feel like people keep telling me to do. I'm definitely not an early bird, and I think it makes sense to follow my own energy/rhythm at this point so I can actually reach my goal of proposing my thesis by the end of April.

I appreciate the real people tagged here!!

Still new here, so I've only interacted with a handful of people lol

@yourstrulystudybuddy222 @lottiestudying (y'all's posts inspire a lot 🩵)

A friend threatened me to repost so I will!

Basically, there r tons of fake asses on tumblr who just want comments and followers, so someone started this to see who's actually a good friend. Everyone I tag better repost (and tag other people and preferably threaten them in a creative way as well) bc I'm high on caffeine and newfound lesbianism and will resort to violence.

@ey-theys-was-coronas

@fangirlhehe

I would tag more people but they're the only ones I've really interacted with-

Friendly reminders taken from @cwote

Your mental health is more important than your grades

You are good enough, smart enough, pretty enough, and strong enough

Don’t just be good to others, be good to yourself too

Embrace all that is you

You will be okay

Just breathe. It will be okay.

Be proud of yourself for how hard you’re trying.

Be nice to yourself

Don’t beat yourself up. You are doing the best you can.

Be gentle with yourself, you’re doing the best you can.

Better things are coming.

Loving yourself is the greatest revolution.

Remind yourself, you deserve to be happy

Respect yourself. Don’t let others tell you who you are.

Learn to say no to people and things that make you unhappy.

Enjoy your own company.

Forgive yourself.

Never apologise for how you feel

Give yourself some credit. You’ve come pretty far.

Mental health is just as important as physical health.

Surround yourself with good vibes

Stop worrying about people who aren’t worried about you.

If you find you are surrounded by toxic people… Cut. Them. Out.

Trust yourself. You’re smarter than you think.

I'm back!

I was gone for 4 days straight cause I was out of town to celebrate a birthday. I actually did a lot of work on my clinic report during these 4 days and now I'm mostly exhausted and trying to finish everything left of the semester.

I still plan to be here and track my progress, I think I just need some time to adjust to my regular schedule again so I am not burning myself out even more.

Miss y'all 🩵

04/09/2025

Started reading this Webtoon called "Ex-Love Review" and I couldn't stop until I can find the latest chapters. So I'm just gonna finish one task and head to bed...

Completed

✅ School ✅ Part-time job ✅ Phone call with partner ✅ Quiz ✅ Dinner ✅ Read Ex-Love Review ✅ Clinic report results x2 (finished in 30 mins?? Amazing!!)

To-Dos

⏹️ Shower (I'm gonna shower in the morning, I promise 🤞🏻)

[End of day: 1:05am] Got more done than I expected, but I definitely neglected some things 😅 I think I'm starting to burn out, which is why I started reading on Webtoon to get a dopamine hit. Need to figure out how I can better rest and do schoolwork at the same time... Good night 🩵

Does anyone else use Notion to take notes and stay organized?

I thought I'd list a few tips of making Notion more fun to use as you study/journal! And perhaps some of it is already SUPER obvious so I'm sorry if this list ends up being useless🥹💗.

I'll be using a mock-garden journal template to point out the tips!

Does Anyone Else Use Notion To Take Notes And Stay Organized?

1. Add emojis to your database titles—or to everything!

Does Anyone Else Use Notion To Take Notes And Stay Organized?

Add emojis to everything! It can honestly make it more fun to look at, even the calendar above looks cuter (double click to zoom in)!

But if that is a little overwhelming, but you still want to use emojis in a “quaint” way, you can make your database title a series of emojis. Like below!

Does Anyone Else Use Notion To Take Notes And Stay Organized?

I clicked the three dots, then clicked “edit database title.” I chose three tulips just to keep it on my garden-theme. So cute! 🌷🌷🌷

......................

2. Utilize the calculate button—in case you didn't know how to!

Does Anyone Else Use Notion To Take Notes And Stay Organized?

Maybe you already new this but I struggled to figure this out at some point lol! At the very bottom of a table right after the "+ New page" row, if you hover you'll see the "calculate" row.

When you want to add/average/whatever just click the "More options"! Yay, math!

......................

3. Solid colors as covers (from Unsplash) are very relaxing!

This one is super simple. I find that sometimes a solid cover for gallery pages is really nice to look at.

So I’m prone to typing specific shades I’m looking for into the Unsplash menu:

What I do is, I click a page, go to 'change cover' and choose Unspalsh. Then type in something like “pastel green” or “baby pink”. If the options aren’t enough, you can go directly to unsplash.com and find a free one! Example below of lovely solid colors!

Does Anyone Else Use Notion To Take Notes And Stay Organized?

......................

4. Easily change card sizes to adjust your galleries aesthetic

Does Anyone Else Use Notion To Take Notes And Stay Organized?

You can easily change card size to a just the aesthetic of your galleries ! Go to the little three dots at the top of your gallery (shown above), click layout, then card size! Now you can choose between S, M, L!

Bonus tip: if you go to ‘card preview,’' still under layout, you can choose what will be displayed on the front of your cards.

In the above example, I chose ‘page content’ 'cuz all the bullet points and todo lists looked so neat! Hehe! But you can choose 'page cover' if you have a fun image/color.

......................

Ands that’s all my loves! Let me know what you think in the comments! <3

If you like the look of these template snapshots and you coincidentally need to organize your garden project or any other project that fits the vibe (hehe), you can get it for free! I'll pop the link to it in the comments!

I hope this is helpful-ish!

HUGS!

3/1/2025 Day 1

I feel like yesterday wasn't that bad, so today should start pretty well too... Guess I was wrong / not as accurate as thought about my own behaviors.

I ended up waking up and checking social media, and it sent me down a spiral of starting this new online novel about werewolves and fated mates. They know me too well lol.

Now it's past 3pm and I have a long list of to-dos, combined with what I didn't get to yesterday. Will this kind of life ever end? Will I ever decide to not push away what I need to do right now and enjoy the instant gratification that causes me long-term despair?

Took me a while to get back in my groove, but I am grateful for this journey with supportive people so far 🩵
