It’s been 3 days. 3 days since Steve last saw Y/N and he was feeling confused, to say the least. After that kiss, it’s pretty much like what Y/N described. Arriving at Oz and everything popped into technicolor. It’s a little cliche for his liking but even he had to admit it was pretty fucking weird that a simple kiss could make you question absolutely everything about a person. Because the truth is, 3 days ago Y/N was just the original not as cool babysitter, now…she was still that, but little things Steve noticed about her before started to be more present. He basically started to remember her existence and just the whole situation was killing him, he didn’t know exactly what to do, so of course, he went to Robin. But since Robin wasn’t home as in home in Hawkins due to some high school band trip, he was now faced to deal with the impossible task by himself.

Until…Dustin Henderson knocked at his door.

“Hey man,” said Steve not even fully acknowledging his presence, he had bigger things on his mind if you know what I mean…

“Well, well I couldn’t help but notice you wanted to talk to Robin,” Dustin mentioned mocking offense.

“Well, since she’s out of town and she’s probably gonna be moving out the next semester you’re gonna need a new Robin. So, I thought I would audition for the job.”

“Huh. Well, I couldn’t help but noticed that you’ve been spending time with Y/N.” Dustin of course loved her. She was the older sister she never had and if Steve and she ended up dating? Are you kidding me? That would be a dream come true for the kid.

“Really? Have I?” It started to feel like the universe was against Steve and the fact that he wanted to stop that growing pull towards Y/N.

“If we’re gonna talk about girls, I am a far more knowledgeable resource than Robin. You know…because I have Suzie? I should pretty much give you advice all the time.”

“Okay. But you can’t repeat this. Because if the real Robin found out I was telling the substitute Robin, a real secret…”

Both the inside and outside of the chateau were completely flooded with people when you arrived. Party Rock Anthem was spilling out of the outdoor speakers as you walked through the yard. You spotted Kie, Sarah, and JB on the porch and made your way over to them. 

“Well, this place is packed.” You smiled and gave each of your friends a hug. “Where’s Pope and JJ?”

“I really need one of those. I’ll be back.” You headed inside and as soon as you opened the door, you ran straight into JJ’s chest.

“I hated it when you called me that when we dated and guess what? I still hate it now.” You spit out but all he does is laugh. 

“Ya know Y/N, I really thought you’d grow out of this bitchy ass attitude when you became an adult, but here we are at nineteen and I’m still waiting.” He smirked and it took everything in you not to smack him. “Hey don’t get all murdery on me. We are supposed to be having fun remember.” 

“Well, I’d have fun murdering you honestly.” You didn’t give him time to respond before you stole his beer out of his hand and turned to run away.

“I may be a dick but you still love me.” You teased as you continued to walk away from him. 

“I got no idea why sometimes.” You didn’t bother looking back as he threw his fit and stormed back inside the house. Everyone had gathered around the fire so you joined them.

“Let’s play truth or dare.” Sarah spat out, excited.

Somehow Kie had convinced JJ to participate and he sat across the fire from you. You purposely waited till he was looking at you before you took a huge swig of the beer you had stolen from him. That was your dynamic. You never missed a chance to poke fun at one another. But when it came down to it, you really cared about each other. “Dare.” Every single time. He avoided truth like the plague. Kie and Sarah exchanged glances again before she turned back to look at JJ. 

“I dare you to do seven minutes of heaven with Y/N.” You shot her a warning look. The nerve of this bitch. You now figured out what these two were up to and they only smiled as you glared them both down.
