Generic alien AU my beloved

(I know this AU idea has probably been done to death by now, but it's genuinely my favourite concept in this fandom and I've always been obsessed with making my own version of it 🙏)

--- In a nutshell, the weird-ass space goo Pim injects into his arm during the party ends up fucking with his DNA as a Critter later on, causing him to start developing alien traits because of it (Initially just stuff he could easily hide, such as pair of antennae and slightly green-ish pupils, but it later develops further into psychological traits as well, such as nocturnality and an instinctual longing to return to space)

The character Pim Pimling from the show 'Smiling Friends' looks out a window into a cityscape beyond, a blank, distant look on his face. In contrast to his usual design, he now sports a pair of alien antennae upon his head

Despite his usual apathy, Charlie finds out pretty quickly that Pim's hiding something (as he would, considering that they're together on jobs nearly every day), and once Pim tells him the truth, he opts to help him hide these changes for as long as they can (such as lending Pim his hoodie to hide his most prominent alien features, making up sick-day excuses for him, ect...), or at least until they can find a cure of some kind, despite not knowing where to start looking.

The character Charlie Dompler guides his friend Pim, who is now wearing a hoodie to cover up the antennae shown in the previous drawing. Charlie is looking off into the distance with a furrowed brow while saying "Coast's clear, c'mon man," to Pim, who is looking over his shoulder nervously, as if trying to hide from someone.

They both know they can't tell anyone about these changes happening to Pim, fearing that it might all end up in one of them accidentally blurting out what happened during that Saturday night that all culminated in Bill's death and them finding out that the earth is flat (both of which they're still trying to recover from, on top of all this.) --- I have a whole bunch of different ideas for this au that may not even make it into the final product (Glep was initially going to find out about Pim as well, but I scrapped that idea in the end, seeming as it kind of took away from the whole tension of P & C having to keep the UFO Hunting incident a secret), so maybe I'll make another, more refined post about this AU someday?? Who knows??? Bonus old doodles back when this AU was still in its baby stage:

In the foreground, Charlie is sitting up with a tired look on his face. 'Just woke up' is written above his head.

In the background, Pim is standing in a doorway with green, glowing eyes (it is implied that he was the one that woke Charlie up). 'Mom I frew up' is written beside him, a reference to the meme with the same caption.

Another, older drawing of Pim looking out a window longingly, this particular drawing showcasing a grassy hill beyond the window instead of a cityscape like the previous drawing. This drawing also depicts him with alien antennae and glowing green eyes, showcasing his alien traits.

"Instinctively wants to return to space, stares out into the night sky a lot" is written above his head in the top left corner.

This happens to me a lot, actually! I'll hear a really beautiful piece of music in my dream, but when I wake up I've forgotten it altogether 💔

The only time that hasn't happened was years ago when I was really into Vocaloid/Kikuo, and ended up having a dream at one point with a song that went something like "Oh the moon, oh the moon. How it shines brightly down, trapping everybody in its white gleam."

(Said dream also ended with this really fucking disturbing portrayal of Miku with realistic eyes for some reason, but that's an art piece for another day)

I've never done anything with those particular lyrics since making music as opposed to listening to it isn't really my thing, but I still think about it on occasion.

It's 5:25 am and I can't sleep. There's a beautiful song playing from my dream. I wish I knew how to read music notes or whatever because I have this tune in my head that needs to be written down RIGHT NOW. Oh god I hope I don't lose this tune from my sleep like all the others.
