Discovering a fandom long after its original content released somehow feels like discovering an old religion believed to be dead, yet still thriving.
It's like an adventure.
Like when I started getting into Lord of the rings a year ago, or when I finished Merlin mere days ago I was bitter about not discovering them sooner, because I thought I'd missed the fandoms highs and everything left today would be crums of what it used to be, since their last content aired literally almost decades ago.
Yet when I look up fanfiction, fanarts or just the tags on tumblr I find their fandoms to be as alive the day the show finished.
It honestly feels like the closest I'll ever get to discovering a fantastical place like Atlantis or Kong Island or something like that and I think that's beautiful
Pepa is slowly becoming my favourite character to draw, I love how they designed her, she has just so many expressions!
plus she‘s super hot
that scene in the finale of atla when zuko goes into irohs tent and starts giving him the long sad apology and blames himself but then iroh quickly cuts him off with a hug and they both cry is the most beautiful and touching scene in any piece of media Ever
Can't wait for clubs to open so I can experience this social phenomena once again
So she's been an Erwin stan from the beginning, right, like he's the only one whose name she actually remembers. And we've just reached the choosing Armin or Erwin episode. Here's a little best of of her comments during the whole ordeal:
"Ah! I knew Erwin was going to show up!" "Of course they're gonna turn him into a titan." "It's so obvious he's a titan shifter already, that's why he told Levi to give it to Armin!!!!"
Boy oh boy will she be disappointed once she realizes he ain't gonna come back
NO BECAUS E I’M HOWLING SHE DEADASS JUST SAID:
“Why did they make the colossal titan more handsome than Bertholdt?”
I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

If I had a nickle for every time a beige-wearing biblically lesser known angel forsook his gay love to take charge of heaven out of naïve motives I‘d have two nickles. Which isn‘t a lot, but it‘s weird that it happened twice.
Have I ever mentioned that I freaking love Iwaizumi Hajime? No? Well I freaking loooove Iwaizumi Hajime!
I was in such a mood to draw our Iwa-Chan stretching, so I just... did it... ._.
Not me saving each and every Astarion screenshot for „drawing reference“™ despite A) not having any time to draw whatsoever and B) not even being in full denial about the fact that I just wanna look at my pretty pookie lol
This is so interesting! I can‘t wait to check out the books listed above.
My legitimate surname is Merlin and I‘ve been wondering where it comes from for ages (I‘m not from the UK or france) and the whole thing just got more mysterious to me once I realized the mythological wizard isn‘t even named that, but Myrddin instead.
Maybe I‘ll do a DNA test at some point? At least my surname got me really invested in the arthurian legend and celtic mythology in general, which is a nice niche interest to have.
anyway just a reminder for the myth lovers out there
king arthur was welsh. merlin was welsh. camelot was in wales. the lady and the lake she pops out of; welsh. excalibur; magic inanimate welsh object. etc.
on the way to see family, i drive past a lake that in which is welsh legend, is the last resting place of excalibur.
i’m just saying in my experience a lot of these legends had been so anglo-fied in the past and it’s like, all this cool shit is celtic welsh legend.
