Killua and Gon mimic each other a lot.
On the start of the fourth phase of the hunter exam, while in the boat, they sit like this:
and by the end of their talk, Killua mimics Gon:
They half mimic each other in heaven's arena too, probably subconsciously (these two panels are on the same page)
They lay down in the same pose on the campfire chap, so i can't tell who mimicked who.
And killua has his usual 'cool kid' pose when he sits up. His default way to sit.
but he mimics Gon every time he changes poses.
this one is the funniest to me cause they sit so differently when they are a little away from each other/not paying much attention to each other
but when they are side by side, or right in front of each other BAM
And I am not sure is if this has any meaning, but I do find it interesting that when Gon is overwhelmed, frustrated, or defeated he usually sits with both knees up and his arms crossed.
But while waiting for Pitou to finish healing Komugi, he mimics Killua's mannerisms
Anyway, if you know more moments of them mimicking each other please share! It brings me life.
that awkward moment when you realize you were having a moment and bonding with your partner đ
I'm gonna say it here too. Allow me to be crystal fucking clear.
It is not cowardly to stay in the closet. Full stop. You do not owe anyone any part of yourself you aren't ready to share
If you unable to come out because you fear for your safety or well-being or because you know it will cause you substantial discomfort, that is not a defect in you. It's a failure of the society in which you live and the community surrounding you.
If you just don't want to share that part of yourself, that is valid and I support you
to heal by your side
( if you seen this drawing elsewhere and itâs slightly different I made adjustments because Iâm never satisfied and notice small details that bothers me đ)
having a cat is so miraculous. this little guy wants to sleep in my bed with me and purr on my chest. itâs his favorite hobby. no one told him to do that he just Loves His Mommy
i found this information and translation from the hxh fandom site - https://hunterxhunter.fandom.com/wiki/User_blog:MrGenial11/Jump_Ryu_Vol.21:_Yoshihiro_Togashi
itâs long so iâm rephrasing and only sharing the Hunter x Hunter stuff & some Togashi facts i found interesting (and yâall too probably) so :
When Togashi was in junior high school, he was fully attracted to ShĆjo manga (girls manga) such as Mineo Maya's manga. (Mineo Maya is known for creating LGBT ((shĆnen-ai/gay)) manga)
Togashi read manga like "Urusei Yatsura" and learned how to attract female audience.
Although Togashiâs favorite manga genre is ShĆnen, he thinks he's suitable for ShĆjo manga.
Togashi's first manga serialization was a romantic comedy, Ten de ShĆwaru Cupid. Afterwards, he began Yu Yu Hakusho. After YYH, Togashi wanted to create manga that WOULDN'T be popular to show various aspects of his personality as mangaka to his audience. He then created Level E.
After Level E, Togashi began Hunter x Hunter. He changes his style in each arc so his audience can be surprised. Togashi loves surprising his audience.
Togashi thinks characters are sometimes more important than the story itself.
The Chimera Ant arc ended differently than Togashi first expected.
He creates simulations of the characters and how they will talk with each other and take an action in situations. This allows his audience to feel as if his characters really exist.
Togashi drew his characters acting unexpectedly in desperate situations when they encountered someone accidentally. For example, the encounter between Morel and Shaiapouf, or Killua and Meleoron.
Togashi has been attracted to the dirty side of manga rather than beautiful side ever since he was a junior high school student. (whatever that means..)
Togashi drew Yu Yu Hakusho's art style impressively and Level E realistically. In Hunter x Hunter, he avoids using screentones as much as possible.
Togashi considers the manuscripts of Hisoka and Kastro's fight as "bad quality" . He said that the internet fandom was angry and embarrassed with the chapter at that time. (so he DOES look at fanforums. that's no good)
"Togashi-sensei is very gentle. He remembers what editors said in the past" (a quote from one of his editors)
"Togashi resembles Gon/Ging Freecss in terms of personality" (another quote from his editor) (the hunterpedia page said âGinâ so idk if the translator misspelled âGonâ or forgot the last âgâ in âGingâ đș i see both tbh)
Togashi scolded an editor only once when they slightly changed a few words in the manga without permission.
Togashi is very confident in his words being interesting. He chooses his words and sticks with them, not letting anyone change them. He is very selective and peculiar about the words he uses. (hm this makes me think of the lines âja nakya dame nan daâ/âshika inaiâ , âdajinaâ/âkichĆâ , âshinjĆ«â , ect.)(dw iâm making a post explaining those lines later)
Togashi's message to mangaka beginners: "Keep in mind the audience. Make every effort to go beyond their expectations.â
there is something horrifically grim to it, but illustrations for gaza and palestinians tend to catch more mass attention that actual photos of people. this made me feel incredibly helpless for a long while, seeing both how people would rather look at a neat drawing of red black green and white than lookïżŒ a human in the eyes, and how online platforms would rather push a viral drawing while suppressing those begging for help at the same time.
a way to cope with this feeling has been taking advantage of it to directly guide people to helping palestinians.
if art gets better traction, then thereâs an incredible amount of good that can be done by creating art that immediately links to fundraisers. creating art of the many images of those who are asking for help.
within hours of posting my drawing, there has been jumps in the thousands for bashar from gazaâs fundraiser. itâs a small effort in the grand scheme of things. itâs not a fix it. but itâs something good. please take care of each other and do what you can. i think this could help a lot of people if a lot of people did it.
here is bashar. iâve drawn him, spoken to him, and known him now for a few months. any shares help, any art helps. draw who you see, draw what you see. thanks all
