THE MANDALORIAN 2.03 + Connections To STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS and STAR WARS REBELS

I would personally disagree with the sentiment that TCW is the worst interpretation of Anakin.

I understand the point. But, I feel like clone wars can act as a way of looking at Anakin from an outside perspective. The rest of these characters don’t see Anakin suffering until it’s too late we aren’t seeing what a mess he is how fragile he is how his fear is consuming him.

he’s putting up walls.

Ahsokas just happy to see him again, Obi-wan is growing tired and wearing thin these are things we see the most in that final season.

Season seven almost acts as how Ahsoka saw Anakin. Strong, Quippy, Always looking out for the little guy.

To her the Anakin she left was just as whole and alive when she returned.

we know that’s untrue but that’s what she sees.

I understand that the show itself probably wasn’t reading in to deep and was using nostalgia off of the previous seasons to drive season seven.

but. I choose to look at it in a sadder way a way that allows for that version character to exist.

The clone wars is about Ahsoka and Rex at the end of the day. And to them, Anakin never changed.

padme body horror is supreme bc when you think about it, her very existence requires constant agony. in real life that red invasion gown took several weeks to build. and the costumes were so uncomfortable that kiera knightly, who was sabe for like 2 seconds, cried every night while filming. the main way natalie portman describes her prequels costumes is “painful” . and sure “beautiful” usually follows but dude. imagine being 14 and in constant pain bc your job requires you be pretty as possible while defending your planet from fucking invasion. i can’t imagine how estranged i’d feel from my own body and sense of self in that moment. you can take that (already extreme) rigor over the body to all kinds of violent ends. possession. some sort of creature. self-mutilation. fic writes itself tbh!

One Shot:Nightmare//Anakin X Reader

Summary: You help comfort Anakin after a nightmare.

A/N: (This is just me ranting btw) Ya’ll I think I’m dying. Ya girl’s got a double ear infection and pulled a back muscle dancing. But besides that I’m doing great and have lots of cool fic ideas! Also I am trying to get back into a writing routine! What days should I post, Saturday, or Sunday? Let me know!

The night sky stretched over the endless city of Coruscant, covering it in a calming blanket of darkness. Inside your apartment, away from the busy night life of the streets, you slept soundly next to your boyfriend, Anakin, enjoying the serenity. 

A sudden movement from the other side of the bed roused you from your deep slumber. You twisted in the silk sheets and onto your back before opening your groggy eyes, letting them grow accustomed to the darkness of the room. Through your cloudy vision, you saw Anakin tossing and turning restlessly, his face contorted with pain, his brow covered with a thin sheen of sweat. You had awoken to this sight a million times before and it broke your heart every time. Propping yourself up on your elbows, you gently tapped his arm.

“Ani it’s ok it’s only a dream.” You attempted to tell him in a soothing voice. Slowly, Anakin came out of his sleepy trance. He abruptly sat up, turning so his feet hung off the edge of the bed, his bare back facing you. He ran his slightly shaky mechanical hand through his curly locks, and you listened intently as his deep intakes of breath filled the otherwise silent room.

Anidala Week 2018 | Day 5 - Time Travel AU

 I would like to personally thank Dave Filoni and his last season of SW Rebels, which gave me so many hints to create a time travel au.

When she escaped Malachor temple, Ahsoka learnt that there are other time portals scattered through the galaxy and yet she can only go back to the last time she saw Anakin, so she is unsure whether her words will affect him in any way, but she has to try. I know that this comic is anidala-centric only in the second part, but to create this story I needed many more characters. And, even if Ahsoka is the one who sets some things in motion, also in this AU Anakin is the Chosen One, he is the one who decides the fate of the galaxy – just like at the end of the OT.

What I like about this is that, for this AU to happen, the story of the first 6 movies must still necessarily happen the same way. Enjoy it!
