Parent Headcannons

Basically, how I believe some figure skaters would be as parents.

Ilia Malinin

- I feel like he wouldn't want his kids to skate because of the pressure he feels from the media, and there would be an even bigger expectation for them as their dad is the 'Quadgod'.

- He would be really caring and involved in his kids' lives, I feel like he has at least two kids, and he supports them in whatever sports or hobbies they do.

- He does teach them how to skateboard, though.

Mikhail Shaidorov

- Did someone say girl dad?

- Seriously, I feel like Misha has 3 girls, and they are his whole world.

- He does teach them how to skate but doesn't want them competing. All he wants is a quiet life in Almaty with his family, away from the media.

Alexandra Ignatova

- Sasha has stated in interviews how she's excited about having kids, and I believe she would be an excellent mum.

- Those kids will have a dog each and will know how to ice skate by the time they are 3.

Makar Ignatov

- He has said in an interview that he is ready for kids but would be scared if he had daughters because he won't be able to protect them when they are older.

- Very overprotective but not in a suffocating way.

- Wants them to skate but won't push them to compete if they don't want to.

Junhwan Cha

- Another girl dad. He has twin girls who are an exact copy of him.

- Takes them out on adventures to explore the local nature and helps them collect leaves and flowers.

Yuma Kagiyama

- Only has one kid and is so supportive of them.

- I feel like he would encourage them to learn to skate, and he would coach them if they wanted to compete. He would be absolutely terrified of them injuring themselves, though.

Amber Glenn

- She is the most caring and supportive parent ever.

- Anything that her kids want to do, hobbies and sports, she will be making sure that they are able to do the best they can.

Dennis Vasiljevs

- Has one girl and one boy.

- Teaches them at least two of the many languages he knows.

- Both of his kids have his hair, so if he grows it out, they all match by putting it in a ponytail.

Ilia Malinin Dating Headcannons

In honour of him winning the gpf

- Constantly convincing him to wear wife beater vests so you can stare at his arms and his muscles. And drooling over him when he performs with his arms bare.

- I feel like he would want to keep the relationship private, not secret. But one day, he turns up at a competition and suddenly has a wedding ring on, surprising everyone, and then just not confirming if you are actually married.

- Surprise hugs from behind when you're talking to someone - I just get the vibe that he's really clingy if you are around him.

- Coming off the last one, if you are a skater and are at the same comp, imagine you are doing different interviews but standing next to each other, and he grabs your hand to be closer to you.

- To wind down at night, Ilia lays his head on your chest, and you read to him whilst playing with his hair. This usually happens after a rough competition where he didn't win or didn't land all his quads perfectly.

- Showing him around your home country, or state if you're American, and sharing your culture with him. He seems to be really open to learning about different cultures and traditions in different countries.

Mikhail Shaidorov Dating Headcanons

In honour of him winning 4cc, I'm so proud of him.

- In every country he competes in, he buys you a cuddly toy and a piece of jewellery that reminds him of you.

- His love languages are gift giving and physical touch.

- He is the most clingy person to ever exist. If you are around him he has to be touching you in some way.

- He often gives you back hugs with his arms wrapped around chest and his head buried in your neck.

- He also likes it when you're walking together and you hold on to his bicep instead of holding hands. It makes him feel proud about his muscles.

- You both give songs that remind you of each other, which eventually turns into a long playlist of your love.

Don’t give it clicks. Don’t listen. Don’t make them think we want abusive assholes like him around.

Imagine if, while in the zoo, the tributes of the 10th hunger games had spent their time bonding and at some point kinda joked about escaping together? And they all thought out exit strategies and such and even the word they’d use as signal to initiate the plans. They discuss who’s good at what, jokingly dividing tasks between them, with Wovey, Bobbin, and Mizzen getting the task of “stay behind us and don’t die” because they’re the youngest. No one really takes it seriously, they just use the fantasy to escape their horrid reality for a second because it’s nice to imagine all of them can make it out alive, even if they know that’s not the case.

Then the arena bombings happen

Otto and Ginnee probably still die, since they died from schrapnel, but Panlo and Sheaf were far enough away to still be conscious and moving around (that last part is mostly because of adrenaline). Everyone’s caught off-guard, but someone (probably Coral) sees their chance and screams the word they discussed, and all tributes jump into action. Jessup and Lucy Gray still save their respective mentors, but because the tributes are working together the peacekeepers have been taken out so there’s no one to drag them away. Instead, all 21 remaining tributes book it as fast as they can and manage to escape the area before reinforcements arrive. They are now on the run, and cannot show their faces without getting shot on sight, but they’re alive and that’s what matters. Mizzen, Sheaf, and Treech are the best thieves of the group (Mizzen’s small and fast (he was just closer to the snakes than everyone else shut up), Sheaf is described as "a limber little girl", and Treech sneakily stole Dill’s water bottles. That’s my evidence. Also they need more love) and thus go out to scrap together anything that may be helpful.

They, being the overachieving badasses they are, get their hands on futuristic medicine to cure Dill’s tuberculosis faster than the real world ever could and help Hy manage his asthma (because it’s chronic, there’s no way they can find a cure for that just lying around even in the future). I say they’re overachieving, because Sheaf did the back handspring for food, Treech only died because of Lucy’s cheating (still getting 6th(movie)/3d(book) place, and he definitely would’ve killed her and been a real contender for the win if she hadn’t cheated), and Mizzen is 13. A 13-year-old got 5th(book)/4th(movie) place. I rest my case.

They use the newfound supplies to heal their wounds and disinfect them, Jessup doesn’t get rabies because I make the rules here, and things are good. They spend a while utilizing their unique skills to stay hidden until one of two things happen:

1) the mentors, who have gotten quite attached to their assigned tributes, fight for the games to be disbanded and rally the rest of the academy, leading to a better Panem where the Capitol and the districts become a functioning, not-dystopian nation again and everything ends well.

Or

2) the tributes manage to escape the capitol and flee into the woods, letting Lucy Grey lead them to the Covey because ain’t no way they can just go back to their own districts just yet. The covey, being nomadic, is the best place for them to stay until they’ve grown up enough to be unrecognizable from their child selves to anyone who doesn’t actually know them.

Either way, things are better. I wanted to share this because I’m sad that all these wonderful (fictional) children died for the amusement of genuine monsters (and those indoctrinated to believe district people are not people)

* He loves going to the zoo. Not just for the pandas but he genuinely loves animals. Cat or dog person? Both. And every other animal alive. If you are scared of any animal he will desperately try to make you like them.

* I honestly feel like his favorite movie genres would be fantasy and animated movies people would say he was too old to watch (ninja turtles ect.)

* He learns a lot of languages and is wired ly good at them from the start. Like out of the fucking blue. You’ll come home and he’ll just be like “Bonjour mes chères créatures, avez-vous passé une bonne journée loin de moi?” Sometimes he would start talking about you in another language just for you to get annoyed that you don’t know what he’s saying.

* He flirts a lot but not in the cocky kind of way. He sometimes try but he can’t keep a straight face when he does. He dies of laughter when he tries.

* If he can’t have all the stuffed animals he gets in a competition with him home he will hold a funeral for them like they tragically died. After he often give them to people he meet. Mostly children.

* I feel like he loves cinnamon desserts. Cakes, cinnamon buns, cinnamon cookies ect.

* He always smells like cinnamon and that smell of ice.

* Loves to go on small dates or picnics. Once you took him to a cat cafe and you have never seen him smile more. You can’t have any sweet eye contact cause his eyes will be on the cats all the time. “Oh look at that one” and constantly just “aww”

* Likes braiding your hair. He’s not good at it but he likes doing it. Sometimes they actually turns out pretty good. He always take a picture of it if he likes how it turns out. The picture is just for himself.

* If he hears you say you like something he’ll go out and come home with like 30 packs of it and just say like “I just saw some at the store so thought I would buy a few”.
