Well this is certainly unexpected- uhh, hello everybody! It's been a while since I posted, but I bring some good news with me. I have one new metal cardbot, and a very familiar face- but shiny and brand new >_< First up, the May 2025 Dodger Redesign!! Honestly, I'm not unhappy with the first version, I only decided to redesign them because lately I've been practicing mecha, and it only felt right to give them a fresh new look. (You can tell that I got lazy very quick- I didn't feel like doing a fancy reference sheet I'm sorryyy ;;)

Next, we have my newest oc, Thorned Valor. I'm sure you can tell that by her little loin cloth, she is a Star Guardian. I'm happy to explain her lore, but I can only type so much on one post. I might do a lore dump on them at a later date, but for now here she is ^^

Now I know I already posted these two, Daybreak just a day ago and Dodger being a while ago—but their ref sheets were feeling empty. So I bring to you their updated sheets, this time with their alt modes! (I realized just today that their vehicles are not obvious at all just with their designs, so that's my bad-)

Metal Cardbot OC!

Name: Fern

Pronouns: She/Her

Age: Late 20's (around 27)

Occupation: Landscape designer and part time security guard.

Personality: Always tired and aloof, people see her as a lazy bum. This causes her to be apathetic and caustic towards others. Despite being constantly sleepy, she's a hard worker when night arrives. Basically making her nocturnal at her security job. She has a tough exterior that's hard to crack but given time, she's more nicer than she'd like to admit. Her kindness is a bit strange as it's usually shown through "tough love". Examples such as her nagging at Jun's grades and insisting he focus on school. Even play wrestling him to do his chores. This is due to her being abandoned by her family after dropping college. Usually quite sarcastic, she uses dry humor to ease the kids and cardbots into slowly befriending her.

Relationships:

Jun: Although she enjoys being his friend, she also fights with him the most. Mostly petty arguing in regards to school and safety. She worries about him being in danger like his parents and feels responsible if things go wrong. His parents, on the other hand, absolutely love her and tell Jun to take her advice.

Blue Cop: They both have respect for each other. Although she isn't really close with him, she trusts in Blue Cop keeping Jun happy and well. While he understands her reason for nagging Jun, he wishes she'd respect his time to be a kid a bit longer.

Mega Trucker: They share music with each other. Fern becomes more interested in Machina music after Trucker hears her listen to some. Trucker and Shadow X enjoy seeing her game and make up fun strategies.

Mega Ambler: It took a while for them to be fully open with each other. Ambler was surprised when Fern knew how to resuscitate a human. Fern reveals that she attempted to get into medical school but dropped out due to poor grades. He becomes a bit of a mentor figure to her in case of an emergency.

Phoenix Fire: Fern was a bit put off by his open kindness and sensitive personality. She thought he was being disingenuous until learning about his past. She becomes a bit softer around him and attempts to help his struggles with fire/heat.

Shadow X: The two are absolute gaming fiends and end up being competitive rivals. When they're teamed up, they cause a lot of chaos. She admits to finding him the most fascinating because of his cloak ability and weapon. They pair up with each other the most.

Yellow Jacket (OC): The first cardbot Fern discovered. Unfortunately scaring the others, he relies on Fern to help him integrate with the other cardbots. His extroverted personality made Fern be more confident in herself. He even brings out her nerdy eccentric side which frightens everyone. Both of them enjoy flying and sharing bug facts. They're very silly with each other when not supervised.

Wild Guardy: Fern was the first to find out about Crest's secret. When confronting him, she was injured by Wild Guardy in hopes of preventing her from spilling. When he was sealed by Jun, she disliked his stuck-up behavior. His ego annoyed her and still thinks he's a bit intolerable.

Dexter: They both enjoy wildlife and nature together. Fern's job as a landscaping artist helped prevent some forests be torn down. This made Dexter and Fern very close friends with their shared interests.

Fleta Z: Another bot Fern was initially thrown off by his personality. Physically cringed when he complimented her. Fleta Z was worried she disliked him and pushed to get to know her more. Fern had to confront him by putting down boundaries and leaving her enough space. Dexter added in by saying she was sort of cat-like. This improved their friendship and made her more comfortable around him.
