I find very funny how in the books, they (Rick) tried so hard to sell Annabeth as the perfect match for Percy, and then they tried really hard to make the couple seen as the goal in relationships matter, AND THEN RICK GOES AND GIVES US NICO DI ANGELO. You know, the 13 year old who took Percy to the Styx so he heightened the chances that he wouldn't DIE, the 13 yo who turn on his father, A GOD, the second Hades tried to hurt Percy, the solid reason why they didn't die in the battle of Manhattan in the first place AND HIS SOLID MOTIVATION WAS THAT HE DIDN'T WANT PERCY TO DIE, all this poor kid wants is for Percy to live, and he goes to extremes to garantee this, even if Percy hate him afterwards, at least he's make sure he'll survive. Nico wasn't even with the Olympians, he was on Percy's side, and Percy just so happen to be on the Olympians side, I'm fully convinced that If Percy have had said "Fuck it" in BotL and just told Nico to just turn around and fight along Kronos with him (cofcof), Nico would had done it, he hadn't even meet Hades yet.

so it turns out that time actually does go by faster as you get older. just like how adults told me it would when i was younger. pisses me off

Percy really could have dated a rich,pretty,fun,artistic girl who he feels comfortable with or the son of one of the greatest gods who is kind,smart and probably the strongest demigod of this era + sees him as the greatest thing since sliced brad, and yet he decided to date a girl who hits him,insults him and thinks he is an idiot huh?

sexual attraction: wow I wanna fuck that

romantic attraction: wow I wanna date that

sensual attraction: wow I wanna cuddle that

aesthetic attraction: wow that exists

Hey, I'm at a point where I think I'm a bit lost with my writing. I used to be around people who made me think that I needed to add more suffering to my writing, and now people say I have too much angst. My main other issue is just that I need to make my characters less passive and have their actions decide the plot. I don't really know what my style is or what I'm good at because I'm not honest with myself or what I love. I can't write regularly because of school and bad habits, so any advice?

Start writing regularly. Write in class, write on the bus, write on your phone between classes. The back pages of class notebooks or even a small pocket notebook should always be handy for wordy scenes and quick ideas. I used to keep both my class notes and my writing notebook on my desk at the same time. Passed my classes and wrote my novel just fine.

Dismiss outside opinions as all wrong and let the writing be just you. You can’t develop a style or a voice if you let others’ opinions cloud your craft early on. They don’t know who you really are inside, and likely neither will you until you write it down. Writing for others comes when you’re writing for a paycheck.

Be honest with yourself, write what you know, and keep writing. That’s the best advice I can give you.
