I just tried to explain the significance of the opening sequence in The Batman (2022) to a friend that had recently watched it and they couldn’t see the significance within it, which I can’t blame them, it’s easier (and more interesting) to understand if you have a deeper understanding of the character (or a terrible obsession that plagues your thoughts- same difference imo)
