🔥Aha ha ha ha ha haaaaaa 🔥

Well 🔥Do what you will...

You'll see... In due time🔥

I will be watching over her... Closely... As I always have...

And should the thought of deceiving her... Even fleetingly cross your mind...

🔥🔪I WILL NOT SPARE YOU🔥🔪

IT IS ONLY FAIR NOW

THAT I SHOULD PROTECT MY OWN BLOOD THIS WAY

Wouldn't you agree...

Mr Drebber?

🔥🔥🔥🔥AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

To presumably Courtney Sithe, or at least what remains of her,

I am glad to see I can always count on your levelheadedness in any sort of precarious situation. I am certainly thankful that your work is, or at least was, in that of dead bodies, rather than alive.

I am in no way trying to deceive your daughter. As for blood...

I have made my own sacrifice because of my family trying to protect their blood in much the same way. Do be careful of how tightly you hold onto them, as you may be applying a tourniquet to a wound or instead a healthy limb. Is it worth it to tempt the possibility of necrotic tissue that must be removed?

Scientifically yours, Enoch Drebber

To Albert and Barok let’s just say you two had twins a boy and a girl what would you name the kids?

What a delightfully difficult question, anon!

To Albert And Barok Let’s Just Say You Two Had Twins A Boy And A Girl What Would You Name The Kids?

As may not surprise you, I haven't put much thought into having children. I hope I do not need to explain why. That being said, I brought it up with Barok and we both have some things of note about names. I personally believe that twins should have names beginning with the same letters, and he truly enjoys the idea of naming children after plants.

I suggested Henry or Henrietta, and perhaps Harold. Maybe Harry. He thought that perhaps we could go with Heather and Hyacinth. I don't believe I can narrow it down from that list without any help! I have a hard enough time making other, even less important decisions.

What a thought, though. I love it! Albert Harebrayne

Susato, have you ever questioned your gender?

-⚙️ (yeah I'm new here! I like ur style of writing)

Dear ⚙️,

This is something that I debated on sharing with anyone. It took me a long time to be able to figure out how to word it to myself. Since that first day I dressed myself as Ryuutarou, I've felt drawn to his clothes. Er, my clothes, that is. The clothes that my father and I modified for that day.

I think of Ryuutarou as something different from Susato, as I have not been able to reconcile the two in my mind. I do not want them to be separate, I want to find some way to accept the feelings I have towards my situation in court, the way I was treated, how Haori interacted with me... it's not easy.

Looking back on some of the Sherlock Holmes stories, I noted that he on occasion would dress as a woman to disguise himself. Perhaps if I brought up my feelings on the matter to my father, then, a man who knows Sherlock so intimately, he may be able to help me sort through these emotions.

With love.... Ryuutarou.

Sherlock, did you get your partner's letter? - 💜

My dear 💜,

Sherlock, Did You Get Your Partner's Letter? - 💜

I am very pleased to announce that yes, I have received my partner's letter. I can only assume he answered as quickly as possible, which delighted me more than I can state. The contents of this letter, I cannot share, but let it be known that my melancholic violin playing was unwarranted.

Sherlock, Did You Get Your Partner's Letter? - 💜

Suffice it to say, I shall be purchasing a boat ticket soon!

Signed, Sherlock Holmes

Benjamin, how is living with Barok? - 🌹

Dear 🌹,

A gif of Benjamin Dobinbough/Albert Harebrayne from DGS violently writing in a journal, talking as he does so.

I love living with Barok! You would not believe the amount of money one saves when he need not pay for housing or food. I have put on a tad bit of weight--something I previously thought impossible, as my food was rather inedible. And yet now I have time! And food! And funding! And though Dr. Drebber may have had a point about my scientific abilities, well... I still enjoy my projects!

A gif of Benjamin Dobinbough/Albert Harebrayne standing in a neutral pose and talking.

I am quite seriously considering visiting him. I do not know how long his sentence will be. There was something comforting about his presence, his designs, the whir of the robotics upon his hand. I do believe the two of us would make quite a formidable scientific pair, if given the chance.

A gif of Benjamin Dobinbough/Albert Harebrayne looking timid, hand in his hair as he talks.

And, Barok takes wonderful care of me! He buys me clothes, gives me allowance, he even allows me to sleep in his bed! What a kind man.

Scientifically, Benjamin Dobinbough

Iris, I've heard that Kazuma is very fond of you. Did you know that? - 🌹

Dearest 🌹,

He is? That brings me such joy! I know that I find him to be quite an excellent older brother to myself, a good friend and a role model.

He seems to be quite down on himself a lot of the time, and in those moments I do try to find some way to cheer him up. I bring him tea, I give him a hug, I ask if he wants to participate in one of my experiments, and I talk his ear off about what I'm working on.

Sometimes when I am writing stories, I ask for his help in trying to figure out what the best word to use would be. He takes quite a bit of pride in his literacy, and I do like to try and give him that boost in self confidence. He is also teaching me to write in the Japanese script, and I hope to exchange letters with my family in Japan soon!

Thank you for letting me know!!! Iris

Lord Barok Van Zeiks,

We are immensely thankful to receive a response from you. The art of science is the art of collaboration. Every little bit propels us further into the future. We are disappointed to hear the falsity of the rumors, but some of our members have expressed concern there has been a misunderstanding. We are seeking information on a "land crocodile". A very large member of the monitor lizard family, theorized to be residing somewhere in the Indonesian islands. While dragons of myth would be ground breaking, all of our members agree that they reside firmly in legend.

We a currently drafting a separate inquiry regarding how how the exotic animals were maintained when they were alive. Our condolences on your fathers passing.

-Zoological Society of London

To the Zoological Society of London,

Lord Barok Van Zeiks,

Thank you for clearing up the confusion. My apologies for believing that you were referring to the mythical beast, I have a friend who is prone to flights of fancy, and quite possibly does believe that dragons, the great winged lizards, do exist. I have humoured him in his search as of late, and thus it has been on my mind.

Lord Barok Van Zeiks,

As for your true question of dragons, I do not know of this large lizard of which you speak. While my parents were world travelers, I have always much preferred to stay in my home country. I have not gone anywhere near such a place where you believe these dragons may be found.

Lord Barok Van Zeiks,

As for the exotic animals, I do not know if there is any particular way to know how he obtained them. I highly doubt it was in any sort of legal way. I regret to say that I do not have any further information that I can give you.

Signed, Lord Barok van Zieks

Hi barok… aah how exactly did you dad die?!?

Anon.

Hi Barok… Aah How Exactly Did You Dad Die?!?

My father was a cruel, foolish man. He believed that he could conquer anything, and that included the great beasts of the plains of Africa. He kept such animals in his house without knowing what such "pets" would demand in terms of care. He and his servants were injured many times by the unruly beasts. He was eventually killed by his favorite of his pets, the snake. It was entirely preventable.

mr stronghart do you think madame tusspells effectively utilized girl power when she committed the crime of graverobbing

An utterly ridiculous question. Your inane drivel would be entertaining if it were not so infuriating. I am unsure where you got your facts from, but I am afraid you've gotten the facts all wrong.

She was not grave robbing. She was committing a crime, in collusion with the prison connected to that graveyard, but her crime was not grave robbing. It could more accurately be described as desecration of a grave, as she was not stealing anything more than an artistic impression.

It could also be easily considered trespassing, though that is complicated by the fact that the prison staff were well aware of what it was that she was doing. Her infuriating actions certainly complicated quite a bit of things.

Mael Stronghart.

You have other work?!? grabby hands!

Indeed I do. I'd say my magnum opus would be this near 5,000 word epistolary I wrote about the Professor killings and such. It took me five months of research and writing and it was so fun and I am genuinely so proud of it. I have tons of other stuff on that account, but I love this story so much. I love epistolary and I'm fascinated by the stuff that happened before the plot of dgs.

Under the read more is a link and a description of the story and the work that went into it.

This story is an epistolary. If you don't know what that is, it's a story told entirely through documents. If you want an example of a really good one, the original version of Dracula by Bram Stoker is an epistolary.

I based the story off of a lot of things, but in particular, Dracula, various Sherlock Holmes stories (especially, of course, Hound of the Baskervilles), and original documents I found from the time period. I researched birth certificates, newspaper clippings, letters, journal entries, and even submissions to parliament. I talked to people who, like me, are really into the Victorian period. I asked my British friends for help on various aspects of life in England.

I realize it may not look like it, but a lot of fics take a lot of work. This one, I was writing before we knew that dgs would ever be localized. I had high doubts about it specifically because of the copyright surrounding Sherlock Holmes. I am so pleased that I made and released it when I did, as it came out a month before the localization. It's, in my opinion, a fascinating resource into what the story was like before the localization. I still haven't finished DGS 2 quite yet, so I have yet to see, for example, what Klimt's will ended up looking like. I based it half off of some random clipping I found on the wiki that I have no idea of the source for, and also a fanslation (not the dubbed one by I believe TaisaTheGamer or something along those lines, but a subbed one by a channel that's like Dai Gyakuten Saiban 2 or something).

So, basically, this is a lovely little melting pot of two or three translations, my own grammar edits, real historical documents, Arthur Conan Doyle, Bram Stoker, and some friends of mine. I am so proud of it.

souseki-san, if someone, say, a century from now, wanted to include you as a character who is a silly goofy little man in their fiction, would you want your hypothetical descendants to agree to such a depiction?

Ribbonroad-san,

I am rather fascinated by your question! The mere idea that someone would choose a man like myself in a story a full hundred years in the future is somewhat absurd. Does this mean that I will gain some sort of notoriety? Will my musings be popularized and recalled long after I am gone from this earth?

While I am not entirely certain that I would like to be remembered as a 'silly goofy man', as you said, I am honoured that they will remember me at all. So, I suppose I would have to say yes.

Signed, Natsume Souseki
