Dear sister,
Who is the man living in our house? The tall one with the white hair. Why is he here? Did you allow him into the homeโฆ on purpose?
-Barok
[modverse]
Dear Barok,
I have grown rather fond of the strange man living in your house. He is so very fun to watch! He sits upon any surface open to him, crawling inside of cabinets, bathtubs, closets, fireplaces... He reminds me of a feral cat in a very charming way.
As for who let him in, it was actually you! Benjamin asked you if he could have a friend visit, and that person just so happened to be Enoch. It seems you may be stuck with him, as he appears to be rather happy there.
Best of luck!! Rosie
Greetings Klimt,
What do you like about cats?
Best,
Fondest greetings,
I have quite a fondness for dogs, of course, and though the cats I've known have been few and far between, I do quite love the way they act. They are incredibly solitary and demanding creatures, and therefore, when they choose to spend time with you, you know you have put in a great deal of trust in them, and they have done the same with you.
Cats express their affection simply through choosing to be with you, even if they are not paying attention to you, you both know the cat is there. Yes, sometimes they will press up against you and make a contented noise, or paw at you, or ask for your attention, but so often it feels good to know that the cat is comforted simply by your being there.
I do quite adore that about them.
With love, Klimt van Zieks
Ryunosuke, what happened with your little aquarium??? Are the little critters alright?? -๐
๐,
...I forgot the aquarium.... I know it would have been impossible to bring with me, and there was so much on my mind I simply... forgot.
Though, that being said, it really was Susato and Iris who tended to the aquarium. They named the... how did you call them? Critters? Within. They cleaned the tank and found plants to put inside of it.
Actually, I feel as though the aquarium is going to be perfectly fine. Perhaps it will thrive now that Iris is responsible for it...
Best, Ryuunosuke Naruhodou
To whomever wishes to respond,
Can you tell me something that is quick, is easy, and it is free?
To anon:
There are a great deal of things that are quick, easy, and free. Tripping upon the cobblestones. Making a fool of yourself. Pacing back and forth. Concerning your neighbors. Taking from children.
While I do not recommend any of those things, they are certainly quick, easy, and free. One must find ways to entertain oneself when one is bored.
Signed, Venus
To Dr. Harebrayne,
Your transportation device thingy is impressive and all, but the real important question is:
can it run DOOM?
To zhorrot,
I don't know what you mean by this question, but I have been informed that Barok feels an immense sense of doom whenever he hears loud noises as I reconstruct my machine!
Despite the fact that I have quite expert help in the form of Enoch, Sherlock, and Iris, no science is without its own flaws, and bumps, scrapes, and minor blowings-up are rather common.
Thank you for your question! Albert Harebrayne
Benjamin, what is the nicest thing barok has ever done for you?
Dearest Anon,
I must admit, it's rather hard to figure out an answer to that question. Not only have we had a lot of happy memories together, I also often have trouble remembering what's happened in recent times. People have joked that I have the memory of an ant... Hah...
I suppose that may be the nicest thing he's ever done. I am a strange man. Everyone who meets me knows that I am rather eccentric. Barok does the simple task of not poking fun at me. He accepts me as I am, and he is my truest friend.
I also appreciate his generous offer to let me live with him, rather than having to pay for lodging now that I have chosen to return to London. I will always be grateful for such things he does for me.
Iris, what are your thoughts on dinosaurs? - ๐น
Dearest ๐น,
Dinosaurs are quite fascinating! I do think that it would be quite fun to journey out and dig for fossils, become a renowned paleontologist. How incredible would it be to discover an entirely new species and put it together?
I've even heard that Zieksie has some fossils somewhere... he won't tell me where. Someday I'm going to find out!
Love, Iris
van zieks if you were on a sinking ship with ryuunosuke naruhodou and a pile of wine bottles which would you push off first
To Ribbonroad:
I have often been told of the dangers of water. I would never allow myself into such a situation, but for the sake of your answer, I would push the wine bottles off of the boat first. I have far too much of it already, and I am not a fan of the taste. Bitter and raw, fragrant and malignant.
I have never finished a bottle, and I have no plans to change this.
Lord Barok van Zieks
To Klimt, Did you have any hobbies? Something relaxing to help take the edge off of your more strenuous duties? Signed, Ivy
Dear Ivy,
Appropriate to your name, in life I deeply enjoyed gardening. I took over Rosie's garden after she passed, and it was rather important to me. Our favorite thing to do together was dig in the dirt, finding worms and roots and rocks. Covered in earth and mud, with the smell of peat rising... that was what we got in trouble for most.
In my adult life, I enjoyed venturing to a neighbouring town, to watch how the people there grew plants, milled flour, raised livestock, and created things out of the items they grew. I wanted nothing more than to join them.
I am now working on sowing seeds to grow.
Best, Klimt van Zieks
two questions for asougi kazuma-san: 1) would you still love naruhodou ryuunosuke if he were a worm and 2) would you still hate lord van zieks if he were a worm
To Ribbonroad-san,
It is good to hear from you again, friend. I have heard that you have asked such questions from several of my acquaintances, and thus have been trying to find my way into a coherent answer. I'm afraid I don't know if I will be able to provide an absolute reason why for these answers, but yes I would still love Naruhodou if he were a worm, and no I would not still hate Lord van Zieks if he were a worm.
I would love to elaborate, but I fear I simply cannot. I know deep in my heart of hearts that these answers are true. There is nothing more to it.
Respectfully yours, Asougi Kazuma.
Dear Henry,
I... I do not know if I can comply with such a request. I understand the gravity of the situation, and it is something I never would want to find myself in, but the simple matter of fact is that I am in Japan and it will take me an immense amount of time to make it to Europe. My previous trip to London took me well over a month.
While I would love to help you with such a thing, I do not think I am the man for you. I am so, so sorry. Is there anyone else you could possibly ask?
Regretfully, Naruhodou Ryuunosuke
