Goro finds a Gyoza and Tanmen shop while exploring the lanes of Shimonita.
Always smitten by the sizzle a dumpling-bum makes when placed on a hot pan and the slightly burnt, golden corn flour cage that is the pride of gyoza-lovers.

The other guests along with Mine & Kaoru help her to see her true worth. On today’s menu: pickled cucumbers, deep fried tofu with minced meat, a wannabe quiche and a ‘bottakuri’ take on margaritas. ~

~ notes from everyday ~
Hello,
I hope the weekend is being kind to you and I hope you're being kind to yourself. :)
I took a week off from writing (didn't realize it would be this tough, I guess I had proper withdrawal symptoms, lol). But it was necessary. Last week, I asked myself, "What do I really want to write about? If there's only one thing I can write about, what would it be?"
The answer was very clear: words that add to the world. Words that bring in love, light, healing and warmth.
After thinking on this a bit more, I've decided to follow my heart.
I would like to share daily, positive prose-poems on my blog going forward. As for dramas, rather than reviews, I want to share a list of learnings from each show that's inspired me.
Putting this out here because what you see here, in this space, will change drastically. Please feel free to unfollow if it doesn't vibe with you.
As always,
With love and in love,
Anvi :)
~ it's okay to bloom at your own pace ~ . Blooming isn't a competition. It doesn't have a predefined pace. . Often, our social media feeds may make us feel "slow" about our personal growth but may we know that the obstacles and curves in our path are only known to us. . Nobody else can determine your healing or its pace. Nobody else has a say in how you grow and what your growth should look like. . The courage it takes to show up day after day, isn't a visible thing. It happens only within. . So the next time we get tempted to compare our '3' to somebody's '20', may we stop ourselves and acknowledge the beauty of our own inner journey. 🌼

Me: *falls in love with dramas*
Me: So this is what it’s like to be a fan...
My heart:
These are screengrabs I’ve taken while or after watching an episode. Returning to post these brings the same warmth and fuzziness in my heart as it did the first time I watched these scenes.
I’m always grateful for positive things in this world, especially on the days that feel a bit too hard. I’m always grateful to be Loved, even though I may not understand the ways in which I’m being taken care of.
Sometimes, a shoulder to cry, a show to return to, or a Friend who’s picture you can look at and talk to are enough to soothe the rough edges of life.
I hope you find those too, in case you may need them today. 🌸
My goals may be very simple, and they may probably be considered underwhelming, but they should align with the way my heart wants to feel.
Whatever I decide upon as the direction for my life, my work, and my relationships, it should make me feel good. The goals I make should feel fun, exciting, and challenging but not completely far-fetched.
I took a small but big step today and set goals that make my heart smile.
