This took me about all month, though it was sporadic bursts of work and then radio silence, but still.
incase the character card didn’t come in well:
Born: September 15th, 1901.
St. Louis, Missouri.
Sylvia, the devoted nurse turned Smuggler after the wealthy Knight family disowned her and her career went south, is a cool, collected and graceful woman, she has a past as clouded in torment and adversity as the cigar smoke that clings to the ceiling of her Boss’s office, despite this, her confidence is unwavering, and her determination to see an order or operation to a successful end, with just as much desire to insure the well being of her coworkers, is infinite, no matter how….annoying some of them may be….
She worked her way up the ladder and managed to get the attention of the Marigold, and being the opportunist she is, she knew there was no other way up, but through a established and powerful outfit, and now she applies the same meticulous techniques and enigmatic approach as a Marigold Operative as she had in her life as a smuggler, her strategic mind and attention to fine details leading Asa Sweet to pair her up with Mordecai Heller,-Though, the feminine touch and endless reminders of how bad smoking is, is a bonus no one asked for- leading to a successful partnership, even if she wasn’t fond of the idea at first….
I’ll be posting her character card too, which has all this information on it also.
I‘ve been thinking about her none stop honestly, and I want to make a much more detailed sheet one day, but this will have to do, especially since I will have her on ArtFight this year💕
Confession: Most my files are unnamed- But, I’ll name them now to save from ‘Untitled39’ and ‘Untitled33’ cause what’s the fun in that?

Rules: Post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous. Let people send you an ask with the title that most intrigues them, and then post a little snippet or tell them something about it! And then tag as many people as you have WIPs.
This game should be fun, as I have many silly names in my folders, most of which relate to the fandoms I wrote them for:

That's... 18 fics there, honestly not sure if I know 18 people on here, but I'll try. Open tag as always for anyone I miss!

Once finished I’ll probably also use this to say I’m on his stream playing Marvel Rivals
Music is very important to her. She grew up in a musically inclined family, so she was always surrounded by it. However, moving to the city and once separated from her family that kind of faded away. The moment she’s able to swing it, she’ll get herself a record for an old Victrola she bought second hand.
Aisling’s Bio Pic!
My silly little cat who has emotional issues and philophobia🥰
Mobile has made it a little blurry, so hopefully if you click on it it’ll become clearer-
The illustration was based off of this Saturday Evening Post by Coles Phillips.
I spent way more time than I’d like to admit simply going through an archive and looking at his art, even after I found the one I would reference.
And I did swap the mirror for a bouquet of flowers that I spent way too long looking into the meanings off and also back the back a record.
Her dress in the illustration is almost a 1:1 of this one from the Met Museum archive, called Robe de Style made by Jeanne Lanvin.
Of course, it’s fancier than what Aisling would be able to afford, and I added a few flap layers that you can’t see in the illustration. But I’m a sucker for black clothes and I felt it contrasted nicely against her mostly white fur.
There’s not much to say about the portrait outfit. You can’t see most of it, but I’ve decided on a simple beige button up, with a green country bow tie, and long pleated navy skirt. You can kind of see it fully in the small photograph at the bottom.
I also, of course, had to add a small UTDM Easter Egg in it as well. Marius and Jack are the two faceless cats within the photograph underneath the illustration. It’s based off of the Save/Load screen where in the report it mentions how your PC is circled.
How do you draw so well on paper without getting frustrated with your own art? Bless me with a tip pls
I often draw very messily on paper. I just clean it up afterwards, either by erasing stray marks and guidelines and relining the drawing, or by scanning and doing digital touchups. Or I just leave some of the messiness there because sometimes that has more personality and charm than a pristine, polished drawing does. I am also in a near perpetual state of frustration with my art. I think that's normal for anyone doing any sort of creative work. Having to erase and redraw something, having to reconfigure your approach after trying and failing the first few times, having to relent and seek out some reference material - it's a confluence of frustration and challenge. As maddening as it can be, it's also part of what keeps things interesting. If it was all completely effortless, what satisfaction would there be in doing it?
I guess if there's a tip in here somewhere, it's to embrace frustration. If you're feeling frustrated, it's a good indication you have a critical eye for your own work and that you're venturing beyond your comfort zones. Both of those things are essential to improving. (That's not to say you should torture yourself. If you're so frustrated that your blood pressure is spiking, well, take a break, cool off, return after a refresh.)
HEY! We were here first! Go find a spot somewhere else!
My Dungeons & Dragons group watching Dungeon Meshi/Delicious in Dungeon because a party member called out and we have a tradition of watching D&D media on days someone calls out:
Me: I wonder what race I would realistically be in that universe…
Friend with absolutely no hesitation: Half-foot.
Me: Really? Why?
Him: Because despite you turning 20 soon you still look like a 13 y/o boy.
