First Impressions (Young! Loki X Young! Reader)

Words: 1634 Pronouns used: She/Her Warnings: fluff

Your POV “Come along (Y/n), this will be fun!” My mother squealed.

“Odin and Frigga have two boys around your age, now that I think about it.” My father followed up. I sighed and rested my hand against my chin, looking out the window of the carriage. “At least pretend to be excited when we get there.”

Putting on my best smile, I giggled. “Of course, father! Why wouldn’t I be excited?”

“That’s the spirit, dear.” The carriage came to an abrupt stop in front of a large castle. The driver helped us out while his assistant grabbed our luggage and carried it to the front door. A large, burly looking man opened the door and shook my fathers hand.

“Faas! Good to see you!” The man boomed. “And Alva, you still look as beautiful as ever.” (They are your parents)

“Odin, wonderful to see you too.” My father smiled. The two had been friends since childhood, and they hoped you and Odins sons would get along as well. A lady dressed in gold appeared behind him.

“Invite them in, Odin.” She said.

“Hello Frigga!” My mother practically sang. The lady ushered you in, and you gathered in the kitchen.

“Of course, you two know (Y/n).” My mom gushed.

“Oh, we haven’t seen you since you were a babe. If you wish, our sons are in the library.” Frigga smiled.

I thanked her and rushed out of the room, my dress flurrying behind me. I roamed the castle, peeking behind all the doors in attempt to find the library. I passed a room, poking my head in to see two boys. One was sitting in a chair reading, while the other was leaning on the back of the chair.

“Come on brother! Let’s spar!” The blond one whined.

“Thor, I’m trying read.” The black haired one replied.

“But Loki-”

“I’ll spar with you.” You interrupted. The two looked at you in surprise before Thor started to laugh.

“You? You are merely a girl!” Thor chuckled. “But if you really want to go, I’ll go easy.”

He led me to a room with matts on the floor and padded walling. Loki counted down, still engrossed in his book.

“Go.” Thor came towards you at full speed, attempting to take you down. I side stepped, taking his arm and flipping him which took him down for the count.

“I never thought a lady could be so… Manly!” Thor exclaimed. “I am Thor, and this is my brother, Loki. What may we call you?”

“(Y/n). (Y/n (l/n).” I laughed. “Say, could you show me back to the library? It was rather big and I’d love to look at what books you have.” Thors face fell, but he reluctantly led the way, Loki trailing behind us.

I grinned excitedly, thanking Thor before running off to find a book. “Aha!” You exclaimed, twenty minutes later, holding a midgardian book called ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ I began to climb down the extremely tall ladder, but it began to wobble, causing me to loose my footing. “oomph!” Was I dead? No, I couldn’t be. So how…? I opened my eyes and saw Loki holding me bridal style.

“You really should be more careful. You’ll get hurt if you keep being so reckless.” I’m sure in that moment, my face would put a tomato to shame.

“Thanks. Can you, uh, put me down now?” He set me down on the ground gently before going on his way. I found a chair in the room, sitting on it and beginning my book.

“Miss, dinner will be served soon. You’ve been requested by the sons of the household.” I looked up from my book at the maid.

“Of course. Would you mind showing me the way?” I asked.

“Not at all.”

Third person POV

That evening you sat under the covers on the guest bed, reading a book about constellations and midgard with a flash light. A knock on your door could be heard, but you were so caught up in the information that you didn’t hear it. The door creaked open, and a grumpy looking Loki walked in.

“I can see your light from across the hall, would you please go to bed?” He seethed.

You peeked out from under the covers and shone your light on him. “Sorry, but this book is really good!” He walked over and threw back the covers to reveal you and your book.

“You like Midgard?”

“Yes, it fascinates me! The constellations, their methods of buildings. Oh, my favorite era was the 1950’s!” You began to explain.

“Well one day, I’m gonna rule Midgard.” He grinned. “If you want, I’ll let you help me take over.”

“But we barely even know each other!”

“So? I’ll need a queen.”

You stared up at him and laughed. “Yeah, alright!”

The next day, you wandered down to the library with the large book, having agreed to meet Loki there last night. You heard girlish voices and a few deep chuckles coming from inside.

“Oh Thor, you’re so smart! Could you maybe help me with my homework?”

“Yes, me too?” Two girls sat on either side of Thor, pressing their cleavage up against him and looking ‘oh so lost.’ Loki sat across from them, back to you.

“Of course!” Laughed the blond. “I was always taught it is only polite to help ladies.”

You snorted and quietly walked behind Loki, throwing your arms around him.

“Hi Loki! Whatcha reading?”

“Hello princess (Y/n). It’s not of importance.” He shielded his book. You shrugged it off and sat down next to him and took out your book. The girls continued to press themselves onto Thor, and you could practically feel Loki’s annoyance of his brother getting all their attention.

“Loki, how do you say this?” You feigned stupidity. He raised a brow at you, but complied all the same.

“Eccentricity.”

“Right.” You said, bringing a finger to your lip. “And that means…”

“The measure of how an object’s orbit differs from a perfect circle. Eccentricity defines the shape of an object’s orbit.” He described. The girls eyes were now on him, and they whispered to one another. They got up from their current spots and shoved your seat away, sitting next to the black haired god.

“Wow Loki, you’re so smart!” Exclaimed one

“Yes, and handsome, too.” Said the other seductively. The boy began to bask in their attention, now ignoring you.

Looks like your plan worked too well.

Smiling sadly, you got up from the table and left the library, strolling through the gardens and occasionally meeting up with Thor throughout the rest of the day.

That night you slept soundly in your bed. That is, till someone shook you awake.

“What?” You groaned.

“Sh. I need you to come with me.” Loki whispered.

“Wh-”

“Just do it!” You were taken aback, but followed him all the same. He led you through the gardens into an open field where he sat down with a big book.

After a moment, you joined him in the wet grass.

“You said you liked stars, right? Well, that’s the constellation Orion, and that bright orange star is beetle juice. The one shaped like a pot is the Little Dipper, and if you look a little farther, you can see the Big Dipper.” He explained, pointing to each.

“Where’d you learn all this?” You asked, fascinated.

“The book I was reading earlier. Speaking of which, this is for you.” He slid you a large, leather bound book with gold lettering. “It’s all about Midgard and heavenly bodies. Thought you might like it.”

“Thanks!” He stiffened when you hugged him.

“You are very welcome.”

The two of you say like that for hours until you were falling asleep. He picked you up and carried you back to the castle, where he found two guards and his parents standing there.

“If you are going to blame someone, I’ll take it. I forced her out with me.” He explained sturdily. His parents sighed and Odin took the small sleeping girl back to her room. Frigga led Loki back to his.

Her words said, “We aren’t angry,”

But her face said “You’ve disappointed me.”

The boy didn’t sleep easily that night, knowing he was in trouble, and that he may have gotten his friend in trouble as well.

When he woke up the next morning, he found (Y/n) crying in the dining room as her parents punished her for her actions. He decided in order to no longer get her into trouble, he would keep away.

(Y/n) didn’t understand why he stopped talking to her out of the blue, but she did know that when she went home three days later, she was upset when he didn’t see her off.

“He didn’t even say goodbye!” She cried to her mother that evening, clutching her dress. The book he gave her sat on her bedside table, pages already worn from how many times she thumbed through it.

Her mother left the room not too long after, and the girl was alone once again, or so she thought.

“I’m sorry I didn’t see you off. I thought you would be angry with me for getting you in trouble.”

The (h/c) haired girl looked up. “L-Loki?” She sniffed.

“Only a projection, but yes, it’s me.”

(Y/n) began to laugh. “You idiot! Getting in trouble is worth it when you have fun.” She explained.

He threw her a confused look before grinning. “So we can still be friends?”

“Of course! My family and I will be visiting again soon. Could you tell me more about Midgard?” You pleaded.

Loki gave a soft smile. “If you wish, princess.”

A Cliché Anniversary

Summary: Bucky forgets your anniversary, will he make it up to you?

Word Count: 371

Warnings: None children, just fluff :)

Smack. You punched the bag. Again and again. They said it would help with anger, But it was doing nothing for you. Bucky, your beloved boyfriend, forgot your anniversary. A drop of sweat accumulated at your forehead, and worked its way down to your chin before falling onto the mat. You punched the bag again. Music was blasting, heavy metal to keep the mood. Switching it up, you rotate your hip and start kicking drills. Eventually a combination of arm, leg, and the occasional elbow.

A while into this, the song changes. A slower one comes on and you recognize it. It’s your and Bucky’s song, “Not Over You” By Gavin DeGraw. Once in the car you played it for him on the way back from a meeting with some S.H.I.E.L.D. officials. You thought he had never heard it, but turns out it was one of his favorites too. You paused to recollect this memory, a small smile gracing your lips.

Deciding it was time to shower, you grab your bag and swing open to the door to the hallway. After an uncomfortable elevator ride with Sam, you were sure he could smell you, yikes, you open the door to your suite and immediately race to the showers. A hot shower was exactly what you needed. Stepping out in a towel, you put on your favorite american flag shorts and a grey shirt. Realizing you never ate dinner, you make your way over to the kitchen, toweling your hair in the process. In the corner of your eye you notice a note that was slipped under your front door. You see Y/N written elegantly across the cover. Following its instructions, you head to the roof. Some candles were lit, and a suit clad Bucky was standing next to a table filled with your favorite food.

“I figured the best anniversary would be the one you thought I would forget.” His play on words with ‘you would never forget’ made you smile.

“James Barnes.” You smiled even bigger. Walking over to him you gave him a small kiss on the lips. It was so cliché and you loved every second of it.

“You remembered.”

“I remembered.”

Sad Love Story

Reader is in love with Bucky but is too afraid to tell him until it’s too late.

Word Count: 3081 (dang)

A/N: I thought this was pretty crappy but oh well, hopefully you enjoy! (There are a few curse words in there but that’s about it.)

“Hey let’s do something today,” Bucky said, closing his laptop.

“I thought we agreed that we can’t do anything fun today because I have an essay to write and you have to complete your mission report,” you replied.

“Yeah well, I’m kind of over it, and I’m not really in the mood to finish this anyways. Plus I really want to spend time with my best friend. Let’s go get some ice cream and watch a movie!” he exclaimed.

You smiled at his childness before closing your laptop.  “Sounds like a great idea.”

“Yes!” he said with excitement while closing his laptop.

You always admired his personality and how he could be so joyful after everything that had happened to him.  You remembered the first day you met Bucky, he was so nervous to even touch you, afraid that he would hurt you like he hurt all those people before.  You remembered the first time you heard Bucky laugh genuinely causing you to laugh along with him.  You remembered the first night Bucky woke up screaming from a nightmare, sweat dripping down his face, his breaths uneven, and his hands clutching onto the bed sheets causing his knuckles to become white.  You remembered hearing his cry causing you to jolt out of bed and rush to his side immediately, comforting him until his breathing went back to normal, until he was no longer shaking.  You remembered those times where he couldn’t sleep and insisted that you stay with him resulting in you playing with his hair and sharing about your day at University.

You remembered every single moment with him causing you to fall in love with him a little bit more each time.  You knew you should tell him your true feelings, but you knew he didn’t like you the same way.  Your friendship was more important than your true feelings.

“See you in five,” Bucky said as he walked out of your room with a huge smile on his face.

You laughed silently to yourself as you prepared yourself for an awesome day with your best friend.

A couple of days later, you and the rest of the team were invited to yet another party hosted by Stark, the only difference was, Bucky was escorting a girl.  She was tall and thin with long brown hair and brown eyes.  She smiled at everyone as she met the entire team.

“And last but certainly not least, my best friend, (Y/N). (Y/N) this is Megan, my girlfriend.”

“Oh my goodness, Bucky talks about you all of the time! I’m glad to finally meet you,“ she said shaking your hand.

“Likewise,” you said with a small smile.

“Well, I’m going to go get a drink, I’ll be right back,” Megan said before heading to the bar.

“She’s pretty,” you said just loud enough for Bucky to hear.

“I know, she’s absolutely amazing (Y/N), she’s everything I want in a woman.  I know you’ll love her too,” he said with a huge smile on his face.

You smiled back, concealing the pain that was coming from your heart breaking into a million pieces.  You watched as Bucky walked back to his girlfriend who was waiting for him with a glass.

“You should tell him you know?” Steve said leaning against the table beside you.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you replied quickly, fixing your dress.

“(Y/N), you know exactly what I mean.”

“I can’t tell him now!” you exclaimed, “I mean just look at him,” you said pointing at Bucky’s direction, “he looks so happy.”

“I know, but he deserves to know,” Steve said beginning to walk away from the table, “and if it means anything, I think you’re a much better match for him,” he whispered before walking away.

You smiled to yourself before returning your attention back to the party.

Before you knew it, months had passed, and Bucky was still together with Megan.  You were surprised knowing how quickly he would move one girl to another.  Your heart started to break little by little as you heard him talk about just how amazing Megan was or how Megan was absolutely perfect for him.

You remembered the time Megan had moved into the tower nearly redecorating every room to her desire.  Pictures of the two of them began to pop up in the living room and the dining room making your heart clench in your chest.

You remembered the first night Bucky had a nightmare when Megan was in the building.  You remembered how you shot out of bed like it was a natural instinct, however by the time you reached his room, you saw Megan by his side comforting him.  You froze realizing you were no longer the only one who could comfort him after a nightmare.  You felt tears building up in your eyes, jealousy and bits of anger filling your mind.

You decided to let out your frustration by going down to the training room and punching the shit out of a punching bag.  You neglected to tape your hands, hoping that the pain would take your mind off of your aching heart.

With every blow against the bag, your reflected on each event you had with Bucky causing you to only become more angry.  After what felt like hours, you stopped, your breaths shortening as your forehead leaned against the bag.

“Couldn’t sleep either?” you heard Bucky ask from behind you.

You shook your head, not wanting to face him.  “Why are you up? Shouldn’t you be asleep with Megan?” you asked getting some water while avoiding his gaze.

“I had another nightmare,” he said softly.

You stopped what you were doing before replying, “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t know.”

“You don’t have to lie, I saw you at my door.  Why are you avoiding me?” he asked making his way towards you.

“I’m not avoiding you Bucky,” you said quietly, facing him.

“Bullshit, did I do something wrong? I miss you,” he pleaded grabbing your hand.

You felt sparks as his hand clung to yours so naturally, your guys’ hands fit perfectly together.

“Nothing,” you finally replied, “You did nothing wrong.  I just have a lot on my mind right now.”

“You want to talk about it?” he asked, his eyes searching for yours.

You finally looked up into his eyes, your heart shattering into a million pieces.  You felt your eyes beginning to water before you replied, “I can’t do this,” and walking out of the room leaving both a confused and hurt Bucky behind.

Ever since that encounter, you decided to move out of the tower and into your own apartment, you couldn’t bare to see the couple walking around everyday.

“Do you have to go?” you heard Bucky ask from the doorway of your empty room.

“Yeah, I need to be on my own for a little bit and figure this out by myself.”

You grabbed the last of your belongings and walked towards Bucky who had a sad look on his face.  Your heart broke even more but you knew it was the right thing for the both of you.

“You promise you’ll talk about it when you’re ready?”

You froze, you didn’t know if you’ll ever be ready.  You decided to lie in order to calm some of his nerves by nodding with a small smile on your face.

“I’ll only be a couple of blocks away, it’s not like I am moving half way across the world or anything,” you said trying to lighten up the mood.

You couldn’t bear to see Bucky like this.

He smiled softly before pulling you into a hug, “See you around best friend,” he mumbled into your hair.

“See you,” you said before leaving his embrace and leaving the tower.

Years had past and although you and Bucky were still friends, your relationship with each other was holding on by a thread.  You began to become more distant, not just with him but with the entire team.  You would occasionally meet up with him for coffee but your guys’ meeting would only last for about an hour until you had to make an excuse to leave.

Suddenly one day as you were sorting out your mail that evening, you received a letter in beautiful handwriting.  You opened it, automatically regretting that decision.  The letter in your hand was actually an invitation…an invitation to Bucky and Megan’s wedding.

You didn’t even know they were engaged.

“Why didn’t he tell me?” you said to yourself.

You quickly picked up your phone and called Bucky, part of you wanting to tell him your true feelings, part of you wanting to tell him that this was a mistake and that Megan wasn’t the one for him…that you were.  However, once you heard Bucky’s voice answer, “hello?” all of your thoughts about telling him the truth disappeared.

“Hi Bucky,” you started quietly.

“(Y/N), how are you?” he asked, slightly surprised that you were calling him.

“I just uh,” you froze debating whether or not to tell him the truth, “I wanted to tell you I got the invitation.  Congratulations, why didn’t you tell me?” you asked.

“I was going to but we weren’t necessarily on good terms.”

“Oh,” you replied quietly, “Well, I want to let you know that I will be attending. Thank you for inviting me.”

“Of course, I couldn’t not have my best friend at my wedding,”  he said chuckling.

You felt your heart shatter once again before you said, “Well all right then, I’ll see you around.”

“See you,” Bucky replied before hanging up the phone.

The moment you set your phone down you started to sob, you knew it was too late to tell him about your true feelings.  You sunk down to the floor, leaning against the counter top in your kitchen with your head in your hands.

“Why didn’t I tell him sooner?” you asked yourself.

The day you dreaded finally came where you had to put on your best fake smile and act like everything was okay.  You had a plan, after the ceremony, you were going to leave and stay with your sibling.  Your stuff was all packed and ready to go, all you had to do was wait for the “I do’s” and then you would leave this life behind you, forever.

As you were shrugging your raincoat off of your shoulders, you ran into Steve who was walking around greeting guests for Bucky.  “(Y/N)!” Steve said before giving you a hug, “How are you?” he asked sympathetically.

“I’ve been better,” you said quietly, “I’m leaving for good after today.  I thought you should know.”

“What? You can’t just leave, we need you (Y/N).”

“I can’t keep living like this, I already missed my chance to tell him how I truly felt and now I’m here at his wedding! My heart breaks every time I see him now and I just can’t do it anymore,” you said, tears threatening to spill from your eyes.

“You should tell him,” he said.

“I can’t tell him now! He’s about to get married!” you exclaimed.

“(Y/N), he deserves to know, besides you’ll be leaving all of this behind you.  Just write a letter or something and slip it into his room once he leaves.”

“But I-” you started, immediately being cut off.

“(Y/N), it’s the right thing to do,” Steve said.

You sighed and nodded, giving into his advice before searching for a notepad and pen.  Once you were able to get your supplies, you sat down and began to write down your thoughts.

Once you were done, you decided to head to the room where Bucky was getting ready. Bucky was surprised to see you there.

“How are you feeling?” you asked as Bucky was putting on his tie.

“I don’t know, there’s a part of me that’s telling me this is wrong.  But it isn’t, right?”

You froze at his words, could it be that he had feelings for you as well?  No, there’s no way.  You snapped out of your thoughts before replying, “It’s probably the nerves that comes with getting married.”

“Yeah, you’re probably right,” he mumbled, struggling to tie his tie.

“Here, let me help,” you said rushing up to Bucky and using your slim fingers to tie the tie perfectly around his neck.

“Thanks,” he said, smiling.

“Buck!” Steve said barging into the room.

Steve smiled at you before saying, “It’s time.”

“I’ll be out there in a sec,” he replied, Steve nodding at his response and leaving.

“You ready to become a married man?” you asked, your voice slightly cracking from the tears threatening to spill from your eyes.

“I think so, what’s that?” he asked referring to the piece of paper in your hand.

“Oh nothing you need to worry about,” you said quickly slipping it into your purse.

Bucky sighed, straightening his suit and saying, “Time to become a married man,” repeating your words with a smile.

You smiled back before pulling him into a hug, “Good luck,” you whispered laughing slightly.

Bucky smiled before leaving you behind in the room.  You pulled the piece of paper out of your purse again and stared at it for a long minute.  You sighed and said to yourself, “It’s for the best,” before leaving it on the table by the mirror.

You quickly left the room and took a seat in the chapel next to the rest of the team.  Little did you know that Bucky, being the forgetful person that he was, had forgotten his vows and had returned to his room moments after you had left.

He quickly grabbed what he needed before his eyes landed on your letter on the table.  His name was written in the most beautiful handwriting.  He smiled taking the letter of of the table and opening, assuming it was from his wife to be telling him how excited she was to become Mrs. Barnes.

However, it was exactly the opposite.  As he read the letter in your recognizable handwriting, he froze.

Dearest Bucky,

I know that now is probably the worst time to tell you this but I thought you should know.  For the past 7 years I’ve known you, I have loved you and I still am.  I am truly, madly, deeply in love with you and it hurts. I loved you so much that I didn’t want to jeopardize our friendship by telling you my true feelings.  All of those memories we shared together are ones that I will treasure forever.  I hope you have a great life with Megan, I know she will be the perfect wife for you.

Love,

(Y/N)

Bucky froze, he couldn’t believe his eyes, how could he have been so blind?  He sat down on the chair by the door, his head spinning, questions running through his had at a million miles an hour.  The one question that kept popping up in his head was, who do I really love?

Suddenly, your face appeared in his head, your smile which always lit up the room, the light in your eyes illuminating your face always causing him to smile as well.  All of those nights where he couldn’t sleep, you were there, all of those nights where he would wake up screaming, you were there to help him, to comfort him.

“How could I have been so stupid?” he asked himself, “I have to call the wedding off.”

“Bucky!” he heard Steve yell from the hall way.

Bucky quickly ran out, running into Steve who had a strong grip on his shoulders, “Let go of me,” he said trying to get out of his grasp.

“You have to go! Everyone’s waiting for you.” Steve exclaimed dragging him towards the chapel.

“No you don’t understand!” Bucky replied, fighting his grasp.

“It’s just your nerves talking,” Steve replied, barging into the chapel with Bucky in hand.

Bucky quickly turned to Steve, “No, you don’t understand, I have to call the wedding off.”

“What do you mean call the wedding off?” Steve asked, “You’re just nervous now get up there!” he replied pushing him up to the arch.

Bucky cursed himself as he fidgeted where he was standing.  His eyes scanned the crowd before they fell on your eyes.  Your eyes were filled with such sadness that he had now just realized.  He couldn’t take his eyes off of you, the way you sat in your dress.  Before he knew it, Megan was standing in front of him, a huge smile on her face.

His heart broke, he couldn’t hurt her, but he would be living a lie.  “I do,” Megan said with such certainty.

You grabbed your bag, ready to make a quick exit, ready to leave all of the pain behind.  You waited for the words to slip from his lips.

“I’m sorry, I just can’t,” you heard Bucky said.

You froze, staring at Bucky, his eyes automatically meeting yours.  The rest of the guests gasped in shock and whisper, but all you could focus on was Bucky.  You shook your head before grabbing your bag and running out of the chapel, running away from everyone.  You ran out into the pouring rain now caring about your dress getting ruined, or your makeup smearing down your face.

But before you could reach the car that you arrived in, you felt a hand wrap around your wrist stopping you in your tracks.  You knew exactly who it was, but you didn’t dare look at his face.

Bucky turned you around to face him, the rain mixed with your tears making your makeup run down your face.  “Why didn’t you tell me?” Bucky asked softly, his warm breath fanning your face.

“I was too scared,” you choked out, “you weren’t supposed to read it until after, this isn’t right,” you whispered trying to run off again.

Bucky kept his grip on your wrist refraining you from turning away.  “No, I’m not going to lose you again, please stay.  I’m sorry for not noticing, I’m sorry for not realizing you were in pain, I’m sorry for not realizing I loved you as well.  You’ve always been there for me, supporting me, caring for me, and I broke your heart in return.  I’m sorry, just please stay so I can fix my mistakes, so I can make things better between us.  I love you.”

You Didn’t Expect It, It Just Sort Of Happened. Your Period Was Late For A Whole Month Before You Knew.
You Didn’t Expect It, It Just Sort Of Happened. Your Period Was Late For A Whole Month Before You Knew.
You Didn’t Expect It, It Just Sort Of Happened. Your Period Was Late For A Whole Month Before You Knew.

You didn’t expect it, it just sort of happened. Your period was late for a whole month before you knew. Two pregnancy tests just confirmed it. You weren’t ready and you weren’t experienced but you sure were excited. A whole new world just opened up in front of you. You just needed to tell Bucky about it. You sat there in your room, alone…how were you going to tell him? You suddenly felt morning sickness kicked in and you felt like you will vomit. You took a deep breath trying to control yourself but it wasn’t working. You went to the bathroom trying to calm yourself down and luckily you didn’t vomit all over your clothes. You washed your face and looked at yourself in the mirror. You couldn’t believe it this was happening. It’s too early. The tears were now rolling down your cheeks. You haven’t realized Bucky had already come to the room.

“Hey (Y/N)?”

“Yeah?”

“You okay there doll?”

“Not really.”

“Can I come in?”

“Yeah.”

He opened the door and found you crying on the bathroom floor, head down between your knees, in your pajamas.

“What’s wrong?” He sat next to you.

“If I tell you will you stay?”

“Why wouldn’t I?”

“Because it’s too early.”

“Too early for what, doll?”

“For a kid.” You said. Bucky’s jaw dropped. “I’m pregnant James.”

“Wha-wha….what?”

“Yeah I know.” He immediately wrapped his hands around your small frame pulling you closer to him. You were a little shocked by his reaction.

“I will stay.” He whispered into your ear.

“What?”

“I will stay no matter what happens, okay? It’s early for us and it will be stressful but we can do it.”

“You really think so? I thought you will freak out and leave me.”

“I love you way too much to leave you (Y/N). Even if I wanted to everyone in the team would probably kick my ass for being a coward. Plus I have always wanted to be a dad.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. After Hydra I thought it was over for me…”

“Never say never…clearly.” You smiled.

“I love you doll.”

“I love you too.”

“Does anyone else know?” He asked.

“Just you.”

“Do you want to tell everyone at dinner?”

“Sure. I think only Wanda knows though.”

“How so?”

“She tends to sense when something is off.”You said resting your head on his metal arm. It was surprisingly comfortable and you were happy.

I haven’t done a Marvel imagine before so bare with me.

I hope you enjoy!

REQUESTS ARE OPEN!

You possessed a special ability that let you look into people’s possible futures and pasts. Before meeting the Avengers, you had no control. You’d just touch someone or look into their eyes and see their future or past. You’d feel their pain of a loss or their end. But over the months, you’ve gotten a better grip of your power. Now, all that was needed to activate your powers was a touch.

Except when nightfall came. Your mind would replay all the terrible things you saw. If someone saw their parents getting murdered and you saw that event unfold through their eyes, you would be haunted by the moment at night. You couldn’t control it once your eyes closed and you were sent into a slumber.

But Tony and Bruce came up with special medicines that would help you sleep aimlessly. It made you feel like a mental patient but if a goodnight’s sleep is the benefit, you were willing to pay the price.

Bucky would often have night terrors about his days being held in Hydra. He wandered around the tower to calm his nerves until one night he found your bedroom door wide open. Bruce walked out and gave him a small smile before disappearing into his own room. Curiously, Bucky entered your room and found you calmly asleep on your side, clinging onto what seemed like a bear.

He noticed the bottle of pills that was at your bedside table. He was about to steal some pills, in hopes of helping himself sleep as well, but he found himself entranced by your calmness. He’s seen you walk around the tower in the day time, you were always uptight and careful not to make contact with anyone. To see you calm at night somehow calmed him.

And so every night Bucky needed to be calmed down, he found himself sitting next to your bed and watching you sleep.

One day, everything seemed to be alright. You were all discussing random matters. The team were getting into playful arguments and you had muttered something sarcastic that only Wanda caught. She laughed and hit your knee playfully. You were instantly sucked into the moment her brother, Pietro, died. Wanda had actually felt the bullets penetrate through her brother and you felt Wanda’s emotions flood through you.

Bucky had been watching you carefully. He saw how your eyes widened slightly as they turned a bit glossy and then he nudged Steve and nodded your direction. Steve went up to you and noticed how stiff you became. “Hey, what’s wrong?” You looked into his blue eyes and all you saw was his doomed future.

He was walking up what seemed like a capital building when a single bullet flies through the air and pierces his heart, leaving him for dead.

“I’m fine.” You lied. “Just tired. I’ll go to my room and rest.” Before you left, you turned and told him,. “Stay away from capital buildings, Cap.”

The rest of that afternoon you attempted to calm yourself. Bruce had told you not to say anything about the future because you could cause a ripple in the timeline, but you couldn’t just let Steve die like that.

That night you were restless, Bruce stayed with you until you fell asleep. It was already 1:56 am and Bucky was already on his way to your room. Bruce was leaving her room. “She’s a little restless and upset.” Bruce informed the soldier. “Might be best if you found a different way to calm yourself for tonight.”

“I’ll be as quiet as a mouse.” Bruce dismissed Buck and allowed him to stay in there for a little bit. He was no position to argue, he was completely tired.

Most nights, you were completely still but tonight you were frantically moving around. Your bear had been pushed off the bed and had face planted into the floor. Bucky picked in up and put it by you again. He’d hum a tune of a Russian lullaby in an attempt to calm you.

As the hours passed, you became more still. Bucky was about to get up and leave, feeling calmed himself until you sat up straight and screamed. You looked at Bucky in surprise. “What are you doing here?”

“I watch you sleep sometimes when I have a nightmare.” He confessed. “What’s wrong?”

“Nightmares.” You deadpanned and reached for another pill until the Winter Soldier stopped you. “What the hell, Buck?” You snapped, quickly moving your hand away from his.

“One pill a night. It says it on the label.” Bucky explained. “Wouldn’t want to overdose now would you, doll?”

“I need to sleep, Buck.” You sighed, putting your head in your hands and then you grabbed your bear.

“Why do you sleep with a bear? Aren’t you too old?” He joked, cracking a smile.

“Funny, coming from you.” You laughed.

“Scoot over.” Bucky said. You shook your head frantically.

“I don’t want to-I’ll see.. Buck, no!” You panicked and then he held out his wrists to you. You gave him a weird look. “What?”

“I used to have nightmares about jumping out of planes.” He explained. “Then I did it. Now I’m not afraid. I’ve noticed how you refuse to touch people. I get it. You’re afraid so you have nightmares about your visions. But sometimes, you have to face your fears.”

You gave him an unsure look before grabbing onto his wrists. You were prepared for the war and the Hydra brainwashing sessions but you were unprepared to see a wedding. It was pure and white and gorgeous. Bucky was watching as his soon-to-be wife walked down the aisle and you smiled slightly when you saw that you were the woman in white.

You let go of his arms and smiled at him which he returned. You scooted over and the two of you talked all night long.

The next morning, Bruce would come and wake you up. When he opened your door and saw you snuggled up next to Bucky, he couldn’t help but smile and get the other avengers.

After that night, you and Bucky would share a bed and just talk then wake up next to each other. Soon, you finally embraced your abilities. You knew that you couldn’t have done it without him. You looked at him while he slept, you were slowly drifting away too.

“It all started with those damn Nightmares.”

Hi there! My period is hitting me like a truck, could I please request fluffy Bucky? Maybe like reader and him go grocery shopping for ice cream or something? I'm in dire need of some fluff. Thank you very much dearie 😊💕

You were in that painful and awful day of the month, lying on your stomach and hugging one of the pillows, a failed attempt to make yourself feel better but, in fact, while you were like that nothing would get better. You stayed like that until the moon came to the sky, but you didn’t care. You just wanted to make the pain go away. You heard your door open and quietly footsteps getting closer to you, the mattress lowered slightly with the weight and then you felt your boyfriend scent. He stroked your hair, taking it out of your face and kissed your head.

“Baby, do you wanna go to the grocery with me? There’s a new ice cream flavour.” he murmured quiet, tenderly smiling when you moved a little so you could look at him.

“Can you bring to me? I’m not feeling well.” you tried not to whine about your period but Bucky was always trying to spoil you. So there you were pouting and making him nod carefully.

“Sure thing, doll. I’ll come back in one minute.” Bucky kissed your forehead and then left you alone again.

You didn’t know exactly how long you waited, but when you were finally drifting off to sleep you heard Bucky come in. You grumbled sleepily as the light turned on, but soon you rested your hands on the mattress to lift and turn your body, so you could sit and lean back against the headboard. Bucky smiled sweetly, taking the ice cream pots, chocolate and Doritos from the bag and them walking in your direction. He sat in your empty side, placing the food in front of him so he could open one of the ice cream and give to you. Silently, you accepted and took one scoop of the sweet, closing your eyes when you felt the coffee and nut touch your tongue. Bucky placed his arm around your waist, pulling you to lean against him and thus let you more comfortable. You hummed happily after almost all day feeling grumpy, and you knew that you were lucky to have a man to spoil you like that.

“Did you liked the new flavour?” he whispered quietly and you just nodded, too concentred in finishing your ice cream and Bucky chuckled “There’s another one here, but do you wanna eat Doritos first? And watch some movie?”

“I love you so much… You know that, right?” you sighed, hiding for a moment your face in the curve of his neck, your cold breath causing him chills and making him giggled.

“I love you too, baby.”

I think how much people choose their future work because main character of series/films/books do sth. Like I wanna be psychologist because Hannibal Lecter is psychologist.

TLOU2 and the Stages of Grief

To begin, here’s a quick crash course into the 5 Stages of Grief.

There are five stages of grief; Denial & Isolation, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance. Although these are the identified stages, they are not experienced the same for everyone. People experience them occurring in different orders, experience each stage to different degrees, and in some cases people don’t experience all of the stages. Often times people in real life experience these stages without full completion due to how quickly the world moves and the responsibilities that society has put on an individual. Throughout the whole process, our own feelings and thoughts of mortality is brought up. But there is a common thread in each of the stages and that is Hope. While you may have lost someone you are still alive and there is hope that you will continue to live, or in some cases just survive.

Now that we’ve covered some basics to the 5 Stages of Grief, let’s really get into it in regards to The Last of Us Part II. There will be spoilers ahead.
