I want everyone here to know that Boimler referenced Moriarty in the Lower Decks mobile gameš§
I missed my chance to take a screenshot though because I tried to hold the screen since I forgot that I just don't have to touch the screen at all for this part of the dialogue to stay, so the dialogue went on and I didn't take a screenshot nowš
finished the game for the first time on Sunday and havenāt been able to stop thinking about it ever since š The way Markus was introduced with his cosy first chapter, especially in contrast to Karaās introduction, instantly had me sold on him, heās certainly one of my favoritesš¦«
also got a version without the statue from the pacifist route (which I loved to have as an option)š«” love this guy
Iām still confused about where these rendering skills randomly showed up from specifically for this drawing lolš
I've been drinking it sometimes and I actually quite like it! :D Of course I'm biased about things that I associate with my favourite media thoughš
buuut I do genuinely like how it can kind of balance out the uncomfortable aftertastes of some tea flavors (for example tea that is meant to help with your throat when you caught a cold y'know)
as the cold weather starts to set in i find myself seriously considering trying tea and marshmallows
Here's some Truman show fanart cause I recently watched that movie :)
Listening to "When The Walls Fell" by The Beverly Crushers for the first time and I'm lowkey getting the urge to learn parts of the Tamarian language
ā¼ļø!SPOILERS OF COURSE!ā¼ļø
Firstly: Spock getting Kirk a good book and Bones getting him reading glasses makes me think about them discussing what each of them should get him for his birthday and trying to coordinate it accordingly
Secondly: "You keep missing the target!" No comment, just pure badassery from Kirk (and fear for the people around him)
And now I'm gonna copy and paste the thoughts that I'd typed out about the probably most important scene in this movie right after having watched it:
Mmmmmm Kirk didn't know that Spock was dying, kept thanking/complimenting Scotty for the good work over the intercoms (?)/communicator and actually thought they had made it out and everything was fine and safe now, only to have a distressed McCoy on the comms just a seemingly peaceful moment later, urging Kirk to come there. Now. and Kirk's immediate thought is Spock and so he runs and is absolutely trying/willing to throw open that door to get to Spock before he gets held back and reminded that this would kill everyone else :( And then Spock gets up, straightens his uniform and after just having cowered in the corner with his back turned, walks up to Kirk to speak with him and tell him that he shouldn't grief (oof) and that it was his logical solution to the Kobayashi Maru and that he had never taken it before and as he slides down, pressed against the glass, Kirk follows him closely, most likely trying to stay as close to him as possible for as long as he could
And then Spock takes off his protective glove and tells Kirk to llap and Kirk presses his hand against the glass too and they touch but can't reallyš«
Needless to say, I am excited for The Search For Spock lolš§
I could seriously write an essay on the dynamic between Deadpool and Wolverine, I am *this* close to asking my teacher if thereās any chance that I could get an extra grade for that, because THE CONTENT IS THERE AND I COULD ANALYSE IT
AND IāM NOT EVEN SOMEONE WHOāS INVOLVED IN THE FANDOM
I just learned that people use the word doylist to describe an out-of-universe perspective for fiction and watsonian for an in-universe perspective and this is my favorite thing Iāve learned today, how great is that, I may just start using this as a fun-fact from now on, apologies to anyone who is going to have a conversation with me within the next few days because I WILL mention itš§
Thank you so much to everyone who wanted to help me with this assignment by sending in their examples!!
I wrote it today and didn't end up needing as many as I thought for the speech itself, but I absolutely appreciate how many people sent their thoughts in, it's crazy how much support you guys offered, I'm really thankful and there was quite some interesting stuff among that :]
Hello everyone, I am having to prepare to write a speech for my literature class concerning the quality of movie adaptations of novels. So I wanted to ask: Do you guys have any adapted scenes that you found remarkable in some way? Preferably a good one, but bad examples are welcome too of courseš«”
Maybe a scene from Arthur Conan Doyleās canon that often gets left out but you find important? Or a scene that you thought a certain adaptation absolutely nailed or really just butchered? I am specifically referring to specific scenes here and *not* to overall seriesā or movies. Please do tell me about what you find remarkable in relation to the original novels, I would really appreciate any help with this as Iād started to look for examples a bit late so I only have today and tomorrow to gather themš§āāļø
This doesnāt have to concern Sherlock Holmes, it can also be about Harry Potter, etc., anything really, I just used that as an example since I plan on using Holmes as a reference/example for my thesis anyway.
Fast replies would be much appreciated, as I donāt really have any idea where to even start right now :,)
Just two characters clinging onto their logic while inevitably slipping more and more into emotions by surrounding themselves with humans, yep, donāt see any connection thereš„ø
I think Hank would probably show Connor Star Trek at some point and Connor would certainly have something to relate to with Spock I think
(She/Her/Any pronouns) 17 | Hi! I'm gonna be sharing my fanart here :] (will also ramble every now and then)Mostly Sherlock Holmes, Star Trek and Detroit: BH at the moment, some other stuff tooMy Instagram: a_nerdynerd
