SHERLOCK AND JOHN IN THE AWESOME TOTTMNT ARTSTYLE :D (or at least my attempt to recreate it :)) )
ā¼ļø!SPOILERS OF COURSE!ā¼ļø
Firstly: Spock getting Kirk a good book and Bones getting him reading glasses makes me think about them discussing what each of them should get him for his birthday and trying to coordinate it accordingly
Secondly: "You keep missing the target!" No comment, just pure badassery from Kirk (and fear for the people around him)
And now I'm gonna copy and paste the thoughts that I'd typed out about the probably most important scene in this movie right after having watched it:
Mmmmmm Kirk didn't know that Spock was dying, kept thanking/complimenting Scotty for the good work over the intercoms (?)/communicator and actually thought they had made it out and everything was fine and safe now, only to have a distressed McCoy on the comms just a seemingly peaceful moment later, urging Kirk to come there. Now. and Kirk's immediate thought is Spock and so he runs and is absolutely trying/willing to throw open that door to get to Spock before he gets held back and reminded that this would kill everyone else :( And then Spock gets up, straightens his uniform and after just having cowered in the corner with his back turned, walks up to Kirk to speak with him and tell him that he shouldn't grief (oof) and that it was his logical solution to the Kobayashi Maru and that he had never taken it before and as he slides down, pressed against the glass, Kirk follows him closely, most likely trying to stay as close to him as possible for as long as he could
And then Spock takes off his protective glove and tells Kirk to llap and Kirk presses his hand against the glass too and they touch but can't reallyš«
Needless to say, I am excited for The Search For Spock lolš§
THERE WERE ACTUAL WEBSITES??
I really do miss the BBC show Sherlock. Loved the fact that they had websites that linked to the show and gave you a bit extra, the conversations in the comment section of John's blog, Sherlocks website
Tried to imitate his handwriting a little but I may have just ended up writing in regular cursiveš„ø I haven't written in cursive in a while though so that was interesting š§
3 attempts at understanding his hammer later we've finally got this lolš I hope I didn't overlook anything this time
Love this guy, Jayce Talis they could never make me hate you, dude is trying what he can with very little to zero actual guidance in the political position he was pushed into I hope I can get a better understanding on his character and the circumstances on my rewatch cause I was crocheting on my first watch and probably didn't catch some things lol
I could seriously write an essay on the dynamic between Deadpool and Wolverine, I am *this* close to asking my teacher if thereās any chance that I could get an extra grade for that, because THE CONTENT IS THERE AND I COULD ANALYSE IT
AND IāM NOT EVEN SOMEONE WHOāS INVOLVED IN THE FANDOM
Iāve finally found the magical formula to actually find the Star Trek animations on YT that I wanted, because apparently āfan animation Star Trekā wasnāt cutting it and I could have spent years searching for proper animatics there when all I needed to add to the equation was the little word āmusicā, because for some reason the algorithm was like ānope, thatās not a fan animation, itās a music fan animation, of course youāre gonna get completely different Star Trek videos after the few other animations we can offer instead of something with a very similar name to what youāve been searching forā lol Iām glad Iāve got that sorted out now/lh
Yes!! I'm still reading it, but it was wonderful to see Sherlock being all giddy about his research at the start instead of the usual gloomy man who only gets vaguely excited about a case every once in a whileš (I know that's exaggerated, but MAN the original Sherlock seems precious so far)
Just started reading Sherlock Holmes and all the adaptations are wrong. This man is a delight. He gets excited about hemoglobin and is ecstatic at the thought of Watson as a roommate. He purposefully forgets how the solar system works so he has more room in his brain for crime. He shows Watson the dirt stains on his trousers and he can tell what part of London they come from based on color and consistency. (As far as i can tell Watson didn't ask, Sherlock just gets back from walks and tells Watson about the stains unprompted.) The text specifically says "Holmes was certainly not a difficult man to live with." Why does every adaptation make him unpleasant and rude, he's literally just eccentric. He's such a goober, I love him.
Will forever love their choice of animating the SNW intro for the crossover episode, I got so psyched about it when I first saw it and Iām still so happy about it :]
I just find it funny how Stamford seemingly did NOT mention to John that Sherlock would know everything about him the moment heād walk in there. He did not know that he was instantly gonna be able to tell him everything about himself as if he had just finished copy and pasting a Wikipedia article about Watson directly into his verbal drive
Instead of warning him Stamford was just like āCanāt wait to see your reaction, itās better when you experience it first-hand without spoilers lmaoā and decided to let John walk into that room completely unprepared for what he was in for lol
John thought this was gonna be a relatively normal conversation
