“I've loved you ever since that day you broke your slate over my head in school.” - Gilbert
SPY X FAMILY (CH. 105)
>> spoilers below
i think my favorite part of this recent chapter was seeing how franky has so many people in his life: from the forgers, to his fellow informants, to regulars at his store—there are so many people out there that he cares about or that he at least holds enough goodwill towards that he'll do them a solid when they need him. and for a lot of those people, that goodwill and care is returned. i mean, look at these faces! and the teller, too~ in a world where people are forced to take sides, i feel like franky's side will always be his own and whoever he thinks are behind that line
but what really hit was just franky's attitude as a whole. he's creative, curious, and cheerful, even in the face of frustrations and difficulties. he doesn't perform a life—he lives one, and while that means taking a lot of Ls in all sorts of directions, he can curse at them and pick himself up again just as quickly.
i really wonder about that strength tho—how much of it is the result of a healthy mindset? how much of it is a coping mechanism so he doesn't have to face his pain? how much of it is knowing that Life only gets infinitely harder if you can't pick yourself up when you get knocked down?
*anya proceeds to read his mind and find out exactly how much love he needs*
