my art cql part 1 lan wangji wei wuxian wangxian the untamed mo dao su zhi mdsz guys part 2 and 3 are already drawn but I'll wait a bit before posting them I doubt this will make huge numbers but I care about it a ot I've been working on this since pfiou the first draft of the translation is somewhere in like January 2021 but tbh I was like doing grad school for most of that time ya boi (nb) has completed a master now anyway i'll probably do a master post with all the drawings at the end where I'll add all the translation notes and shit honestly I've seen a lot fo like English edits of mdsz I'm always a bit meh about bc like i don't know how I feel about applying another culture on it and then I did exatly that But to be fair in my head it's like there's so much that's lost in the french translation I did and I imagine more is lost in the English translation of mdsz so like idk maybe it meets in the middle with english also yes I did read the book and not watch the show I have mixed feelings about the book in general but now I think my view of the characters is kinda like a mix of everything since I've been on that side of tumblr for a while And i've read the book more than a year ago also in more depressing news have you guys seen like the new legislation (?) that's operating in China for like actors and censorship I had a vague read and it was super chilling

I watched part of the first one obviously I'm someone who started to draw based on mangas when I was a kid my style is a lot less close now but i remember struggling to draw guys and picking references and in my oldest sketchbook I know I have an eye of kyo somewhere and I was like Aha ! if I master this I will learn how to draw guys someday little did I know that I would lmao this took e like 30 minutes ish? Maybe longer the time to warm up and you can see I'm a messy artist but it's funny bc like kid me would have been blown away I think by the like quality + ease I don't mean it's amazing or anything but drawing use to take me so long

art sometimes SUE ME pathologic warmups vaguely even more vaguely my blog is getting more nonsensical by the day the transistor au was an id from the discord it's probs the thing i'm happiest about bc like I like tracing it's a quick way to get ideas out I' actually in the middle of tow big ish drawings when I say that it's like 12 hours drwaings and shit so nice 30 minutes ideas are fun too I hate how stupid I sound in english I think I sound way too casual it's annoying sometimes I feel like it removes weight from what I'm trying to say when I put weight I think i hit somewhere btw cringy emo and poetic those words are for me to write and love and for the world to forget but their nice writing is a whole other thing it turns out I love the negative space in writing weirdly enough something I never really got for drawing how fun it is to see what's not there what's no said or shown
