if you're an adult and you're still afraid of being proshit on main, sTOP
you're only feeding into the idea that it's the abnormal view to have. the gross side of the "debate" that should only be spoken about in whispers of shame. it's not. you know what's gross? harassment. censorship. doxxing.
block buttons exist for a reason. muting tags is a real thing you can do. there's always someone somewhere who likes that one specific niche thing you do and is just waiting for someone else to notice its potential.
it's 2025, ditch the toxic fan-policing circle jerk and be free
Being a pro censorship ao3 user is so insanely cringe. Either use the (incredibly effective and well designed) filtering system to avoid seeing the shit you don't like or stop complaining. Leave the pro censorship rhetoric to Wattpad or smth
my ass when I accepted that I was proship
fuck. you.
yeah letβs just ignore real qualified therapists telling trauma victims they can cope without harm via fiction. everyone listen to some random dipshit on pinterest because the TOTALLY know more than anyone with years of education and experience
No anti ever has an explanation for "if you like this in fiction then you like it in real life" and why it seemingly only applies to sex shit
They can understand separating fictional violence and murder from real life violence and murder. They don't think reading about a murderer means you want to murder irl. But reading about incest? You must want to fuck your sibling irl
Make it make sense
Idk
funni shitpost of the evening
Also had to specify (on the bottom text) with REAL ISSUES that harm REAL PEOPLE so SOME IDIOTS donβt get the wrong idea π€ -πΉ
"enough lolis wheres the shotas"
why cant we all just live in peace π
My honest reaction to when antis start yapping about how darkshipping is "wrong" and "harmful":
what people expect ao3 authors notes to sound like
right, but then try rewriting this with literally any other comparison between media and irl crime
villain fans when you say that liking fictional murder is just as bad as being a murderer in real life
like what do you find so attractive about fictional murder? if you wouldn't commit murder in real life and risk going to jail and everyone hating you then what makes it morally and socially acceptable to find fictional, murderous villains attractive?
they're literally the same as real murderers, the height, voices, looks/appearance, (kinda varies) the personality, and since y'all LOVE TO SAY THIS for some reason, cannibalism as a metaphor for love
this is exactly what i mean when i say all villain fans are or will become murderers one day whether they wanna admit it or not.
this is also the same logic that homophobes/transphobes use to censor lgbtq+ literature and media portrayals because reading and enjoying those things and seeing them normalized in the media will turn their kids gay and therefore rotten in their eyes.
shit, you play violent video games? you're gonna kill people someday! your favorite character is mean and has abused people? well i guess you're just gonna end up being like that person. it's not like you could ever know the difference between fiction and real life or have the self control and self awareness to separate the two, that's impossible. that doesn't exist actually, b-because... it just doesn't, okay!?
these people fail to understand that liking something in fiction does not immediately translate to you condoning it in real life or becoming that way. it is such a strange concept to them.
do you ever look at an anti's account and think, 'god, you must have so much anxiety'? the way they start screaming 'NOOO IM NOT A PROSHIPPER GUYS' when they say they like something slightly problematic or something. walking on eggshells, knowing that at any moment their entire friend group could stretch a ship into something problematic and cancel them and send death threats. it's just so depressing to me.
I certainly do pity some antis, ships are such a minor thing to have to have anxiety over. Especially not when the world has so many problems.
he . 4teenππ, π°πi'm not the biggest fan of dark ships, but i won't harass those who are.
